Fun Fact: In the US, we received three 2005 60th Anniversary DVDs that have CGI animated menus, those are, Thomas’ Sodor Celebration (that has Michael Brandon as the narrator and does the character voices), Songs From The Station (which has Robin Smith from the previous US dvd releases in the early 2000s), and Calling All Engines.

I don’t know why Season 12 is mostly live-action and the other was animated.

Fun fact: In 2002, when Discovery Kids got the rights to air Thomas And Friends, the editors thought it would be awesome to add cel-shaded transitions with the main characters. These transitions aired before the transitions known in the HiT Era.

An interesting obversion I made whilst watching Children in Need all Stars. Thomas seems to transition, from 100% model to series 12 style between his two cameos.

Do more with the characters with building off of them than the books did like more of Percy and Duck's friendship, Duck and Diesel's rivalry, Percy and Harold's rivalry, introduce Percy's rivalry with James and add new sides like Duck's fascination with the sea, Henry's love for nature and James' pride of his red paint.

How about the various amusement park attractions themed to Thomas?

Rusty to the rescue is terrible. Bluebells in England is the superior story because stepney is a real engine and if you want to have a real engine in the series then you need to be accurate to real life. I'm sorry but in case for stepney the books did better than the show.

After seeing JasperPie's comics, I think what Emily's character could be more well-received and written a bit more good is an amalgamation of her previously personality traits, caring, sisterly, sassy, and not taking any garbage from anyone with a mix of Season 7 and Brenner era included without the mopey part.

I would absolutely love to see the CGI models used for Magic Railroad isolated from the actual animated shots in the movie.

I grew up with nitrogen animation

Power Rangers fans like to point out where Japanese Sentai footage is used, and how the new PR footage is fit in and around it. The first ten seasons had original for PR footage shot in Los Angeles (except the first movie, which was in Australia) and after that moved to New Zealand (except for the 2017 movie which was shot in Vancouver). Most recycled Sentai scenes are easy to differentiate due to camera quality differences in the productions. Sentai looks "blurrier". PR's suit and prop recreation are usually slightly different.

It was tax evasion that caused Hero Of The Rails, Seasons 13 and 14 and potentially Misty Island Rescue and Day Of The Diesels from not getting the cgi hybrid animation.
