Funny clear idea I came up with. Run took me like 4 hours to do... TBF when I started I tried doing it with only Faust, Sinclair, Heathcliff and Meursault, wasn't really going anywhere, then I added Rodion in, got pretty close but failed 4 times then switched Rodion to Don Quxiote because of easier to spam EGOs. Also yea queue the EGO spammer accusations.
Heathcliff carried the team so hard.... I had to use MFE on every turn to generate resources from kills to fuel other EGOs. Bodysack on kill effect finally procs outside of Railway and it's passive helped a lot for dealing damage.
Sinclair is horrible for this. Bro just stays at 45 SP constantly. I did manage to get his SP down with 9:2 and Branch of Knowledge passives. 9:2 works perfectly in a N Corp team, since everyone has Lust skills and you can create Lust Absolute Resonance pretty easily.
ALSO, THE ORDEALS DON'T COUNT AS MECHANICAL AMALGAMS, fsr.
Faust can deal considerable because the ordeals' resistances allow it, she can also buff the team damage by killing with S3, pretty good. Her 9:2 is pretty useful here just for being relatively easy to proc the AoE. Fluid Sac is anti-synergy with N Clair but oh well, 5 Atk Weight is 5 Atk Weight.
Meursault mostly there to fill the N Corp quota, should've replaced him with Rodion now that I think about it. Pursuance uses sin resources that I don't really need so I kept using it when I could.
Don Quixote's EGOs are the safety net of the run. Soup deals more damage the more lust resources I have, and by the end of the run, turn 10, I had 100 lust resources. Her Fluid Sac is high rolling 3 Atk Weight, that's kinda it, huge damage.
...and man this thumbnail is the first I'm kind of proud of lmao.

ftr, green dawn don't count as mechanical amalgalms because, while they are mechanical, they aren't amalgalms. iirc kqe is the only enemy that's considered one at the moment--composed of both flesh and mechanisms.

You get one of each resource when the leader kills an ordeal, so if I killed 5 enemies with Sunyata I get 5 of each sin resources so I can use more egos.

could also have sinclair use 9:2 and calendar and generate ego resources out the wazoo, since his 2 skill will gen 10 lust ego resource on a single kill which would allow him to always overclock 9:2 and get some good aoe

If you use Healthcliff to spam EGO sinclair could still deal some good amount of damage anyway, trade of skill which dossn't deal that much damage
But in Sinclair case, he would waste 1 skill slot to spam E.G.O. for every turn with 1 of 2nd or 3rd skill

This makes me wonder if N corp would actually care about these guys. Their hatred of prosthetics comes from psychotic obsession with a very specific interpretation of what it means to be human and preserve ones humanity, so would a robot that was never human in the first place and doesn't act or even pretend like it's one go against their beliefs? I guess fanatics like them would attack the Doubts just in case they're secretly cyborgs.

If it came from the library situation then yeah I can see robots get added since anything that fits the distortion plague like would get added
Though the obvious hypocritical actions of kromer obsession with flesh purity and flesh warping ego contradicts that edict
To be blunt we don’t really know a lot of the new branch beyond it’s composed of some decently rich backers to get supplied wing tech and it’s remarkably effective at brain starching randoms into the cult

​@@tylerulfmann4586as I remember, the original N-corp idea of anti-prosthetics is based on social hierarchy. N-corp and 14-th district is one of the strict ones, and lawful at that. Like, they can't let everyone rich enough have reality-rending tech that prosthetics in Pmoon are, same way they can't let never sleeping never resting workers be employed on par with those who need rest and sleep.
It also helps keeping pecking order as their higher ups have implants and prosthetics that lower N-corp ranks can't have at all.
From philosophical point of view I think that they really are preserving humanity as much as they can, since if one can feel pain - they can get what sufferings their attacks will do against their opponents. Therefore violence is probably one of the lowest concerns at the N-corp -- people here must be still pretty humane, stripped of the ability to replace lost limbs and make themself CBT-Warmachines that eat human flesh like many cyborgs do.

@@tylerulfmann4586 from what we've seen and been told it most likely does not come from a fear of distortions, N corp is all about "the human experience" and feeling things, even the more normal sect of n corp values that. but these guys, they'd rather you distort than you get a prosthetic leg (they even corroded/distorted a good number of their own sect, as shown when inside the old L corp facility, all the messed up inquisitors that are warped and taken over)
it seems like an unrelated movement thats just against the advancements in robotics/cybernetics because they're puritans and think its morally wrong due it modifying humans in non natural ways. there might be some religious aspect to it or it may differ from individual to individual as to why they follow these beliefs, but its really not unreasonable to just take their word for it. (it's already a realistic stance that happens irl, so it being a stance in a dystopian cyberpunk extreme-violence world isnt far fetched either)
i think they wouldnt care much about the Doubt robots if they think they're just robots, if they think they're cyborgs/amalgamations of some kind they'd care, and i image they'd still care if they knew that these are creatures that stem from the human mind, maybe they'd like them for it or smth
