Him getting stuck trying to get out of the goblin camp reminded me of my first run of the game, where i also forgot abt fast travel and kept dying trying to flee, then i managed to get only astarion out, but forgot Withers could revive my tav, legit thought i soft locked myself, tried to fight my way out again, gave up, and started a new run lmao.
Lmao, did that really happen man?! The emotional strain, the pain and time I felt all in a single comment here.. just wow. So many times I was that close to starting the game over again because getting stuck was like second nature. If I didn't know about the whole fast travel thing, that would've been wowzers

I think that's what I've looked for while watching others play the game myself. Every playthrough is ALWAYS different :D
Yeah I for some reason don’t have my companion. I also saved the refugees but killed the lady right when she proposed the idea. Killed her and suddenly everyone in the base was dead, even the healer that’s supposed to cure us😢
It’s so funny when you see someone just skip a whole chunk of the game without realizing and then seeing that same person play through a whole chunk of the game you missed. On my first play through I barely spoke to anyone in the goblin camp and just eliminated it.
Without a doubt game of the year. The game has everything out of the box and endless options. And imagine... the turn based gameplay is more reactive than forced online games like D4.
YES! Only reason I got into the rts titles and in such a genuine way. This game has opened me up to so many other games :D

I love that before I saw this cut scene, I read the thing about Selune and Shar. Knowing that someone is messing with Shadowheart. I haven’t gotten super far with her story since I e been working a lot but I’m so happy that actually reading the material you find sometimes shows up in the story.
Now that's news to me and makes me want to play the game even more. I love how they actually add material into the game where you read it one day and can find it the next in-game
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel even if it's something as mundane as a shopping list that you picked up in some random person's stuff, you should ALWAYS read every single thing that you come across. Sometimes it'll start a quest, sometimes it'll teach you a new alchemy recipe, and fairly often it's something you have to read in order to trigger the next step in a quest. But even if you don't get something tangible from reading things, at the very least all the readable objects in this game provide so much depth and world building... giving you lots of nonessential, but interesting nonetheless, bits and bobs of information about various characters, locations, etc.
You might like the voice actor for Ketheric but I don't think Peter Parker is much of a fan.

Owlbear. Wow, I really enjoyed your playthrough. A lot of what you did differed so much from my playthrough. For example, in mine, I set the pixie free and was really nice to her. She felt my sincerity and gave me a buff that wards off the effects of the shadow curse. And a bell to call her from if ever the effects wore off.
And tons tons more that you missed. And tons I missed that you did in your playthrough. Like I prefer the diplomatic approach, like some fights... don't have to happen.
Would love to see a continuation to this, a series maybe? lol. 😅
Yeah, it was nice to know that certain things I did was far different from others and vice versa. Though a nice buff and the little battle would've been a great change instead of keeping the pixie captive :P
I did start to learn that much later on and with the right roles you could easily avoid most big fights!

It took me 280 hours to complete it on the easiest mode. (I confess I hate Turn Based Combat, but I love Realtime with Pause). I can overlook that combat, because oh gosh it so damn good. The story, the companions all 12/10. I played as a drow bard so I talked my way through some stuff. So now I play it on tactition, with a different char and its already an different game just in Act1, awesome!. Best game I have ever played, even above Witcher 3.
Even above Witcher 3? Now that says a lot, but I can also say the game changed my opinion on turn based games. The game is an absolute blast from start to finish and with so many options to play the game. Good luck on that tactician run, because I've heard how hard it can be, haha.

Definitely treat it as a basic game initially. 4 people on a team, try and have one of each and if you don't have good lock picking skills, take Astarion with you!
You can also quick safe/reload and try out different paths or fighting people

The final Balthy fight is really hard. I remember my first playthrough how frustrated I was. Two things can make it a lot easier: counterspell and the Blood of Lathander. In fact, counterspell is your best friend period. And I'm still wielding the Blood of Lathaner in Act 3, it's so good.
Also, funny I came across this because yesterday, inspired by another video, I built a BG3 version of Sylvanus Windrunner :D
Lmao, funny enough, I only learned about counter spell in my last fight. That thing save me so many times and is such a strong spell!

What the hell? The petrified drow attacked me. Even after I killed the spectator I came back and unpetrified one with basilisk oil to see if he had anything to say but he just immediately agro’d on me.
If there was one thing I've learned while playing this game it's that the experiences are so very different to each playthrough :P
You’re playthrough is so different from any I’ve seen so far, albeit a little disjointed with how many quests you half completed at the start before leaving to explore elsewhere only to come back later. Because of that, I got to see several NPCs that will die if you don’t help them as soon as you find them. Great video, and I love that it was one long video instead of a bunch of short ones. Owlbear.
I really have to say that I appreciate you enjoying the video as a whole over 20 different type of let's play videos. I will say I do find myself getting super distracted when playing a game so my bad for starting things and then finishing them far later, haha

If you really want to experience the game from a completely different point of view, I recommend the Dark Urge character background. If you really play it evil, you will be left with 4 companions in the end and you will get a deliciously different ending!

About end of act 2 I was a bit disappointed at how much content you miss by going this route, but then act 3 happened and the further along I got the more excited I got. The end is so different yet so satisfying. (No spoilers don’t worry: at least if you do it in a way you are focused on maximizing your own influence or power)

It's definitely worth a playthrough and just depends what you feel most comfortable on. PS5 definitely is a go-to because of the money you'll save, but if you get some help or know how to build a custom computer, you could save the same amount if not more!

I do not believe this is his first time playing, he is having an way to easy time. From the start he almost understood everything without trouble, either he is a very fast learner or hes played it before. Nontheless a very entertaining vid.
This was my first playthrough by myself. I have another on the co-op side of things with maybe 5-6 hours so I did pick up a few things as I played it then :P
I'd love to see you get into the pathfinder series if you enjoyed this. It's definitely more complicated and DnD heavy compared to BG3, but Wrath of the Righteous specifically feels so true to DnD it's wild. Just with a slightly differing ruleset
This game definitely opened me up to the idea of more strategy like games and trying new stuff. Pathfinder:Wrath of the Righteous looks really good too and even more chaotic somehow. Once I finish up my story with this game I'll definitely be looking into this game. Also wish listing it so I don't forget

I feel like I have almost put 100 days in but have only made it half way through act 1 😂 Recently decided I am going to push through with my latest playthrough and beat this masterpiece!
I have a simple question. How did you pass 9 days in the illiquid colony and 4 days at the boss fight if you cannot long rest this entire time.
Oh, the biggest reason for that was me actually taking literal breaks in between! Think I attempted the boss fight multiple times and the last one I got so close, but still couldn't do it

No hate at all: some of your word choices are a bit misplaced, I think, haha. Saying someone IS a force to be reckoned with means they're more or less on your level and can be taken on. Saying someone is "privvy to your success" indicates that they are sitting in on your venture, being availed to your endeavor, but not necessarily doing anything directly to enhance it, themselves. I think Withers being "pivotal" to your success is what you were looking for. :) Like I said, I'm not trying to be one of those asshats that believes everyone should automatically know everything. I sure as Hell don't. I love learning new vocabulary. It seems you enjoy using different words in your script, which I greatly appreciate. (Honestly, it's a huge pet peeve of mine with people using the same wording all the time for their scripts)

No hate or offense taken here at all. I can really see what you mean when I'm explaining stuff or trying to think of clever ways when it comes to telling people a story. It's honestly a big reason why the typical Let's Plays for me never worked as well. Because of my more staple commentary people were either left confused or frustrated because they wanted to watch, but never understood with good reason. I really think my brain works different, but it's also comments like these that have me think and try to learn from what I'm doing. I know I can't please everyone, but this helps a lot more then most and I'll honestly try to sound more cohesive and so the point when coming up with a script. My bad on the musical words and back and forth there. A huge thank you as well though!

less than an hr into this, but it seems like only half an hr in, you decided to get rid of astarion just when you started getting the very first part of his amazing story. just hoping that he ends up back in the party again in the last 2 hrs. without him, all my favorite parts of the game are gone 😟
Unfortunately I didn't bring him back in. Only reason I didn't have Astarion or Lezhel because of another playthrough I had doing coop. I've seen so much of his story while in the party, so I wanted to try out another perspective

The amount of content you missed in act two is disappointing. You can’t be blamed tho, because once you found and finished the dungeon, you were locked into the final battle.
Yeah.. I was pretty heart broken myself. I missed so many things and even stuff I had my heart set on. Had others telling me afterwards to try another playthough, but I definitely want to see where this one goes
