Flour Dumplings
1 cup flour
1/3 cup cold water
1/2 tsp salt
1. Mix dry ingredients together
2. Add cold water a little at a time and knead to form dough
3. Divide dough into 5 portions and shape
6. Boil in hot water for 20 minutes or until tender and floating
Cornmeal Dumplings
1 cup flour
½ cup cornmeal
1/3 cup + 3 Tbsp cold water
1/2 tsp salt
1. Mix dry ingredients together
2. Add cold water a little at a time and knead to form dough
3. Divide dough into 5 portions and shape
6. Boil in hot water for 20 minutes or until tender and floating

If I am making soup I make flour dumplings but if I am eating them as a side dish I prefer more texture and go for the added cornmeal.

These are the basic ones, you can also use cas save instead of cornmeal, or pumpkin, etc
