Incredible head to head! My money was on Tom before the competition. Hate to be a troll but I wish the editing was better; the thumbnails always ruin my viewing experience and in this case the intro contained the worst spoiler ever. Is it just me?
Giving the game away at the beginning isn't great. It's a short video, we can wait 3 minutes.
Not trolling pal 👍 that’s genuine constructive criticism that many of us are thinking
Personally I still had no idea that Tom wasn't going to match it or beat it, but now that you mention that this is how it works. I probably will from now on lol
Totally agree and wish they’d actually put a full video out especially well after the competition! It’s a bad as channel 5 showing world’s strongest man 6 months after it’s already done and finished and about 3 more compilations by the time it’s on telly 🤦♂️
U a troll of the highest order!👎👎🙈🙈💀💀💀😬😬👹👹🙈🙈
Ridiculously good performance by both guys. 400 for reps is no joke.
Even 400lbs for reps is good, they talking kilos 😂😭
@@GrahamPalsmq I can do 400 lbs. Does that mean I'm good?
@@ytsux9259 a singel on 400 lbs is pretty good for a non athlete. If you can do 5 reps raw I'd say that's good.
There's only like 500 guys that have ever deadlifted 400 kg+ raw
Hard to believe Deadlift was a weaker event for Tom 4 or 5 years ago. Amazing!
400 x5 is insane
No kidding. I wish I could do 400 lbs!
Tom won the show.
Watching this live was crazy, and the fact bishop still had 360 for a rep after all that as well 😂
Nice that you put the Video here, but why do you show the results at the beginning?
to keep the viewers hooked
@@benvinke6141как можно держать зрителя, если ты вначале всё показал
It is a Spoiler. I dont think that helps to keep you hooked.
They think it hooks the viewers
@@benvinke6141it doesn't
THIS is how a rep battle should be. Heavy weight, none of these 15 rep CrossFit events that WSM loves
But how else could they coincidentally shift rules based on who’s in the lead? 😅
Totally 👍
When was there an event at WSM where someone got 15 reps?
@@baconfromhell666 😅 O lordie. The infamous wsm 2017 viking press event
U can blame Rogue for pushing crossfit type events tbh I don't mind loading races in strongman they have to be in there.
Bish did say in his interview yesterday with Liz that he thought 5 reps on the 400kg would win it. Tom made him push for that extra mile though 💪
Huge props to both, that was amazing!!
Keep forgetting that Tom is only 29 years old, still has a lot of years in this game.
Thanks for the video! Miles away in America pulling for Big Tom!!! Keep the vids coming please
Some entertainment yad watch these guy's all day every day . Great stuff well done 👏
Love the commentary of Neil and Kaz.
Well done to the both of us made but still think Tom will win the show
So awesome for Adam Bishop. I hope he takes the W
Noticed some of Adam's reps were a bit of a soft lock, no?
Yeah first 3 barely locked out
Where to watch?
Toms Deadlift has improved allot over the last 2 years. He has potential for allot more
Great video!
Bringing the two together is lifting up the car
I would have loved Thor to attempt 400 for reps when he was in top shape
He tripled 440 and looked to have another rep or 2 in the tank. Wouldn't surprise me if he hit double figures
Peak Thor gets At least 7 reps
@@moa3821 I think he gets at the very least 8, maybe 9
At least 37 reps. If not 54
Big Tommy is best !!!💙
What was the final score
This is just beautiful.
Well done Gav🎉
Lov tom and luke
What is the problem to leave the competition title and date in the description?
i absolutely second that
Bish nearly equaled Heinla's 6x400 WR with that last 350 rep.
Heinlas record is actually 5 with 400 and he used a suit which bish did not - just back from event it was world record equally performance
It's 6. Hahaha
@@Jose-wx1oy It doesn't always work like that.
@@christopherstuckey2433bish doesn't get any extra points for not wearing a suit unfortunately 🤷♂️
This is unreal,incredible🦍🦍🦍🦍🏴🦍🏴🦍🦍🦍🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Tom 💪stoltman stone king 👑
OMG, do 5 REPS with 400KG
it's AWSOME
Toms deadlift has long way i remember deadlift wasnt a massive strength but has done amazing to improve on it i think he has definitely got 1000 pounds in him
He's been training for a 505kg deadlift, so it's no surprise how far he's come
@LinkySlinky he hasn't, really. He was at one point, then realised he needed to focus on winning WSM since changed tactics and is now focusing on trying to win Arnold's and Rogue and Shaw
leave the original competition date in the title why dont ya?
Tom Stone Man Stoltman is awesome just to think my son would have been in school with him if I staid living in Invergordon
Stoltman my guy.
I like the atmosphere I wanna be here
tom shoul've tested 15 seconds more before trying again would helped a lot
He even mentioned himself that he was working on using all the time in general when deadlifting, because he always burn out to quickly. I'm sure he atleast could have equalled Bish
@@knsema2 he might have been affraid that Bish got 2 more reps with 350 Kg
Wow super🥇👏
400*5 used to be the record
Then, Bish pulls that without a suit, and adds 350Kg
Tom's deadlift has WILDLY improved. 10 months ago, Tom only got 363kg in the elephant bar deadlift during the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic. To add 37 kilos and THEN do it for five reps versus one in 11 months is a huge improvement at his level. I see him deadlifting close to 450kg at the Arnolds.
He will be at the 430-435 range at Arnold's
Tom didn't bother to peak for the 2023 Arnold's. I doubt he was even on cycle.
U gotta remember doing Elephant Bar is different to standard deadlift. Also don't forget Tom beat everyone on the Hummer Type deadlift even Brian Shaw at Shaw last year
Tom sandbagged the Arnold
He pulled 430kg no suit in 2019. He was just in really bad deadlift shape at Arnolds
Is Neil Pickup the announcer?!!
Yes
@@neilpickup-supernaturalstr3157 LEGEND!!
😂😂😂😂 IVECO is the perfect sponsor for these guys
💪🙂
Stop putting spoilers at the start, 3 minutes is a short video anyway, and by spoiling it you're making me want to watch only 10 seconds rather than 3 minutes.
Bishop is 30Kgs lighter than Tom! 😯
Shorter to, better suited to deadlift. Still insane which ever way you look at it!
And NOT a world record. That is held by Rauno Heinla, who pulled 6 reps at 400kg.
It's a GL World record
@@petershortland478 It's a Giants Live record, not a world record. Rauno has the world record.
Too bad Bish crapped the bed for the rest of the show ...
Maybe not show the results at the start
The record is 6 reps not 5
Is Tom playing it safe, saving some energy, letting Adam do more? Could be tactics, but shows why Adam is defending champion, pushes himself that little bit more.
Both gave everything
Defending champion? Tom has 2 WSM wins
@@mustang8206 he means Bishop is the defending "Britain's Strongest Man" tournament winner. 2023 Adam won it.
@@pHaTtY111111111111 Yep but Tom is clearly better than Adam
@@mustang8206 not at this particular event though.
Oh yeah? I can do 400 (lbs) once.
☺
Jamal did 420 for 7, that's wild
He actually didn't do 7. He did 6 in sumo and 1 for conventional
@@petershortland478he did 410 kg for 4 conventional I believe
@TheLegMan1 he did indeed 🎉
Tom was disappointing. I thought he was training for the world record deadlift.
Tom hasn't trained for 505 for sometime now since he decided to focus on winning WSM and Arnold's when he was training for the 505 he had a poor arnolds and lost his WSM title so he has decided to go back and better his weaknesses, pressing used to on and off for him
And also 400 kilos for 5 still places him second
Next challenge: go up 3 flights of stairs and don’t have a heart attack
You're thinking of bodybuilders and powerlifters, not strongmen.
@@TheBcoolGuy possibly. But then I say run a mile. And 15 minutes later I’m not impressed.
@@jerryelsea8126 then i ask a runner please lift 400 kg for 5 with out blowing out his back. And i'm not impressed. Totaly different field mate. Like a 40 ton truck win a race with a f1 car for speed.
🤡🤡🤡
Hooper used to run marathons
Hall ran 2 miles a day with a weight vest when preping to box
Licis and Thor ran 3.75 miles together once
Allan thrall, a local level strongman, could probably run a mile faster than you
Your post is stupid.
di Luke even podium talking about how "dangerous" he is for this comp? LOL
Luke came 3rd….
Luke came and was so consistent so he was dangerous
Luke is in great shape, but Gavin Bilton has improved again and is stepping up
This announcer is starting to annoy us. Time to find a new one. His voice is not deep, he’s knowledge is questionable, he only has this messed up accent going for him.
How can you not like neil pickup??
Size doesnt equal strength
You are so right, thats why we see so many dwarfs dominating the strong man scen.
@@Roovstah Talking nonsense again. However Bishop won and he is smaller than Stoltman.
Tell me you know nothing about strength sports without telling me
brian shaw. thor, eddie hall, 200kg of body weigth but yeah size dont matters hahaha@@user2kffs
@@xaviermoya8356 Mitchell Hooper, WSM 2023, lightest of the bunch. Try again.
Got to hand it to Adam Bishop...he has come a long way and look at him now! Absolute respect for both men however! Beasts.
Why not just keep 400kg for reps alone? These dudes at the top are perfectly capable? 505kg must be going soon...
To make it more interesting instead of just regular deadlift for reps I assume
it's literally obvious by watching this head to head why they have the additional lower weight.
it's a separator. both men here were equally able to pull 400 x 5, but bishop squeaked the victory still having enough for the 360 for 1 at the end whereas Tom didn't
On heavy reps you end up with loads of people sharing points. Having a lighter weight to drop down to can help separate the field.
