Another great vid Broken. While I played in excess of 100 hrs (mainly in portal mode) It lost me back to BF1 and The Finals some time ago now. The lack of infantry focused maps at the start, insta-death, and poor and infrequent weapon balancing really did not help. Maps were on the whole unexciting and lacked any real character. Please Dice no more shipping containers. We want something with the spectacle, atmosphere and the grit of BF1 with theatres of War that have context, story and meaning. We know Dice can achieve this and I can't wait to find out what they have in store for us.
Game start was rocky like a roller-coaster, got improved over time & finally we have a fairly good game starting season 5 or may be 6!! but why ditching all that hard work & move on to the next title so early?? heck, we're 18 months away from the next BF??? imo, this is a big mistake... at least they should give us one more season after 7... I'm very disappointed.
Give me the destruction of BC2, I don't care about a skyscraper coming down; I will however accept the juggernaut to come back and be the big set piece of destruction.
Battlefield was my baby from the original Bad Company to BFV. Pulling the plug after the BFV Pacific dlc did it for me. I'm an old gamer now, I hope they capture the magic for BF fans again .
I played BF1 again, such a good game. We don't get Battlefield games often and when we do, they're steaming turds. I hope one day we get a good Battlefield game again someday
Could do with a bf4 remaster just to tied us over until bf6 another year with no new battlefield to play is painful but I'd rather them take the extra time to make bf6 than rush a game out has bad has 2042
If there’s one thing I wish for the next title, it‘s that it‘s not going to drip feed new content. It was always so exciting to see a new DLC drop every 3-4 (?) months that would feel like an entirely new game.😊
Hi TBM, I started following you when I got into BF1 and the enthusiasm for that title was unreal. Weekly top plays videos was my highlight watching other players getting kill streaks worthy of you posting them. It felt like a community which we could all share our achievements which in my opinion has been lost in resent titles. Firestorm was a great addition which unfortunately got put behind a paywall which prevented being more popular and drawing players into the franchise. I really hope the next title brings back the experience of battlefield for future generations to keep this franchise going long after we stop playing.
I thought the Finals would fill that craving for Battlefield, and in some ways it has with the destruction, but it just doesn't cut it. Those big team battles are what I love most, hopefully they can nail it in this next game.
I hope they take time creating the next battlefield. Don’t rush these guys and let them create something special again. I pray it’s a winner because I fear another letdown could be the last. Love the content broken ❤
Never even played 2042. The release issues left a real bad taste. Granted it may have come on leaps and bounds since but BF1 and 5 is where it’s at for me. 😁👍
I think Battlefield needs to be a little bit more hardcore to stand out to other major fps. Focus on infantry combat with vehicles feels like a titan when they actually show up and should be feared. That's just me, I just hate seeing one of my favorite franchises slowly circling the drain.
To be fair, that is not what Battlefield is about; Ever since 1942 back in the early 2000's, it's always been about blending vehicles with infantry for a combined arms experience. (Though usually not so one sided to favoring vehicles.) Ironically enough, focusing on infantry combat would make it even more generic and COD-like than it already is.

Vehicles aren't intimidating, they feel like obstacles in the way to enjoy the real game, infantry combat. Battlefield has always been about realistic conflict, while COD was starting with being a 3 lane shooter, battlefield gave you options and variety, which they just seem to lack nowadays. Every time I play I just see everyone running around with three same weapons, it's bland and stale now. Battlefield forgot that it's not COD, but it tries to be.
They left so many bugs behind, Mouse input still broken, controller has weird acceleration and sometime it doesn’t even work, input delay, especially when using falk medical syringe into crouch spam, etc. The only way the next battlefield succeed if it comes hitting straight out the gate, no identity crisis, just solid gameplay. They have the foundation, but is the team capable of such a task? Find out next time on, who killed the franchise!
Broken… I came off of Tom Clancy games to the BF franchise, playing 3 and 4, Bad Company but it was BFV that consumed me and my daughter. Your videos on settings and one in particular on strategy upped my game in 5 to make it more enjoyable. Love watching you play any game (you are the king of flanks!) but especially BF. Thank you!

Yeah, as long as bf 4 and bf1 servers are up, im chilling, though sometimes i wish they would add a new map or something because playing the same ones over and over again gets stale.
It had to happen at some point, and now is that time.With the continued fan love of BF1 and popularity so many years later you can be sure BF2042 is still gonna be a blast to play for years to come.
They need to capture and understand the essence of what made BF1 so great. If they can't do that then it doesn't matter if they full send it, they would just cluelessly go full blast in the wrong direction and we would be disappointed again. They need to listen to what the likes of you Broken and Squid and all the other content creators have said about the situation. To understand that is key.
It looks like the upcoming Season 7 DFR Strife LMG is a belt-fed version of my favorite gun for BF4 which was the AWS that came in the Naval Strike DLC. I was 7th in the world on XBOX for that gun. It's rather late to the party and everyone will be testing it. Better late than never and hope it's a fun weapon!
Typical EA/DICE half arsed S7, messed with the gunplay, hit reg issues are back, the recoil bug is back and they decided to peace out. Such a let down after S6. Clearly it was a small crew left on for 2042 so I don't buy that the seasons were impacting the next game. They know they fucked up with season 7 and player numbers are showing it. I want a new solid BF game, too, but the next one is still a year and a half away. This will kill off 2042 player numbers, so it's about to make the wait for the next BF game a whole lot longer. At least the seasons gave us something. This sucks.ass.
what would be the dream would be for them to get some devs on BF1 & BF5 and add extra content...new maps,weapons,vehicles etc...these are loved games which are still played and this would give them more time to complete the next battlefield and get it right...just like with the GTA series not releasing the game until most bugs are ironed out ...and broken...please contact squid and make some BF1 vids with him

I still think BF1 is the Zenith of DICE and I would love to have more new material of that but on the same token I would be absolutely terrified that they would just shit all over the legacy and memories of that game. I expected it but I just think it’s so early to finish the game off. I also see so many people wanting old BFs in the new game. I think it’s better to move into the next game with no expectations
2042 I tried to enjoy but friends didn't want to play, bugs and unfinished-ness kept just causing friction. We always fell back to bf1 because we just had way more fun on a more polished and content rich game. I hope you and other creators can voice their opinions more for the next game, because no matter what way you cut it, the next game is so so important for the franchise. Keep it up Broken, the content is always good
It got so much hype before launch etc and it’s a shame it didn’t hit expectations , we need that fresh battlefield game just like bf1 , the theme the guns and gameplay maps etc was all superb, Yh ok it had it flaws like all games but it just gripped players to want to come back and play over and over again
Compared to the NFS and FIFA series, I'd say this is sounds pretty normal to me, except for the fact that they haven't put out a trailer for the new Battlefield game yet

Totally agree with you Broken. I'm just gonna say that I have over 300 hours with BF1... I think that game should be the starting point for the next chapter. BFV and 2042 meant zero to me. I don't even have 5 hours of gameplay.
I might be in the minority here but I stopped playing 2042 when I couldnt use Mackay with an ammo crate anymore, I used to love to climb and rain down bullets on people without worrying about running out, when they created the specialists it became boring. Cant wait to see what the new BF is going to be, I still am hoping for a BF1 remake one day but doubt that will ever happen.
If Dice is in fact putting 💯 in new BF game I'm all in! Took them 2 yrs to fix this one and it still lacks some but I don't blame them, I hope they get it together for new BF.
Bf1 was the first BF that tryied another way but I got still that BF-Feeling. But with BF V this feeling was lost. Smaller maps max 4-6 vehicles on map. Wide open areas without a chance of cover, what makes the half enemy team spawn as snipers and destoyed the man on man fight on the flags. And rewarding them for dont move the whole game and not the one that take flags/revive/support/PTFO. , unbalanced Weapons/Vehicles/Gadgets I hope they don´t make the same mistakes again in the next BF. Firstly, listen to the community, don't try to make an CoD mixed BF Clone and no specialists plz. We wanted a BF3/BF4/BC2 remake and this is what they gave us, unbalanced Specialist/Weapons/Vehicles/Gadgets/Maps. In between i thought they got it but then they shrinked the maps with only 2-4 vehicles. Giving extra exp vor reviving an teammate that calls for revive and then they removed it again, why?.The last map "Haven"? Oh my got, they have the perfect map for CQ-Fights and they put vehicles in it, dice, really?You can shoot from one base to the other with Liz´s rocket, why? . Bf for me was huge maps a lot of vehicles, more points/EXP for playing the objective or supporting your team and not how good. you are at camping and farming kills. Now we have to wait what they do with the next BF. I hope they are not killing it finally with the new one. Sry for my bad english. I played since BF 1942. So mad to see how EA destroyed their biggest franchise, because of the quick money
I feel bad for battlefield 2042 i thought they would make more content maps and modes but i guess they give up but this game bf will be forgotten very fast so hope for next battlefield to be completed experience like bf3,bf4,bf1 lots of maps modes

When BF1 released i was so pumbed as the trailers left me with goose bumps. And when i started playing BF1 i could not stop......2042 was the total opposite was such a let down and i uninstalled this game a long while back. I wont be pre ordering the next one as they now have the job of not just releasing a better title but also winning me back to a franchise that i have played since 1942 released. Good Luck Dice.....
Very sad. 2042 has made many improvements and has potential for it to be a lot better game. I enjoy playing it very much but it seems like unfortunately with the last few titles, this same topic is being repeated over and over again. There’s nothing like the sandbox, mayhem FPS like a Battlefield game and I do truly hope that they get their stuff together and finally go all in, in the next game for us. Nothing like the Battlefield community.
it's so sad that this game become cod stylish gameplay. i liked it so much. bc2, bf3, bf4 and bf1 was for me the best. the ambient on all this was on another level. it was so much fun. but now. its like you play a cod mod. the ambient dont feels like an bf anymore. i really hope they make bf7 great again. :(
2042 is just such a big question mark. It was my first battlefield that I followed all the development for and into release. It never did scratch that itch though. I don’t know if the first few buggy months set it down this path or the new content or the lack there of. I’d love to sink into this franchise the same way I was able to sink into other great franchises. I think I might be too late for that.
I'd rather they move onto the next BF and spend more time testing it before releasing it. I don't play COD anymore. So, I hope BF can build a new game and take the time it needs to release a more stable version.
If they caught up BF2042, they should continuously where they left off between two's historical games… BF1 and BF5 should have improvement and some added content
It's good that EA is moving ahead and we hope they nail it this time... Not only with a trailer but also with a good good game... There inspiration should be from the finals level of destruction, the beautiful environment of bf1 .... It's good they pulled the plug because putting more resources into this put is worthless

I love bf. Been playing since bad company. I've watched it evolve it into an amazing game and then watched it crash and burn. We're just gonna have to see if they learnt their lesson or not because if this game is another flop, I think that's it for battlefield unfortunately. I hope not but they can't take another loss I don't think.
2042 is a pretty ass game, simple assessment. Although, I do enjoy it for what it is, I don't treat it like a Battlefield game and think of it like a random FPS game, I get more fun out of it that way. 2042 is already pretty dead here in OCE, only 2 - 3 servers across the entire game, so it's pretty rough, this end of life is gonna kill it 100%.
I get it though. Tie off the wound and rebuild. It's the best choice. IMHO, the path should be clear on what to salvage from past games and move forward with. The question is "setting" . Modern, past, future? My idea is to have a non nuclear world war 3 type setting where multiple factions invade the US on all borders, so you'll have city maps on east and west coast and rural areas on north and southern borders, just for starters. And have this be pretty much now or very slightly in the future as far as visuals, weapons, vehicles, etc.
To your point on full send, I want a "new" experience, like "holy shit this is intense I can't believe this game is a real Battlefield game". Tired of bunny hopping, funny skins etc...give us a military shooter with bad language, visceral visuals, immersive audio
At the very least DICE should open up Portal properly after season 7 is complete. At least then the community can make something of what's left of the game.

Battlefeild is still my baby. Been playing since BF3.... i hated BFV.... I hope dice delivers for 2025 but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I thought they'd stretch it to Season 8, but I'm not surprised S7 is the last. I haven't even played S7 yet, felt like maybe I'd had enough in S6.

I don't think there are any developers from BF1 left at dice to be honest I think they are all gone, so I doubt we ever see a BF1 remake.

I might be in the minority here but I stopped playing 2042 when I couldnt use Mackay with an ammo crate anymore, I used to love to climb and rain down bullets on people without worrying about running out, when they created the specialists it became boring. Cant wait to see what the new BF is going to be, I still am hoping for a BF1 remake one day but doubt that will ever happen.
If Dice is in fact putting 💯 in new BF game I'm all in! Took them 2 yrs to fix this one and it still lacks some but I don't blame them, I hope they get it together for new BF.
Been playing since BF2 way back. Still think it peaked at BF1. All I hope is they put same passion that was put into BF1 in the new game.
Bf1 was the first BF that tryied another way but I got still that BF-Feeling. But with BF V this feeling was lost. Smaller maps max 4-6 vehicles on map. Wide open areas without a chance of cover, what makes the half enemy team spawn as snipers and destoyed the man on man fight on the flags. And rewarding them for dont move the whole game and not the one that take flags/revive/support/PTFO. , unbalanced Weapons/Vehicles/Gadgets I hope they don´t make the same mistakes again in the next BF. Firstly, listen to the community, don't try to make an CoD mixed BF Clone and no specialists plz. We wanted a BF3/BF4/BC2 remake and this is what they gave us, unbalanced Specialist/Weapons/Vehicles/Gadgets/Maps. In between i thought they got it but then they shrinked the maps with only 2-4 vehicles. Giving extra exp vor reviving an teammate that calls for revive and then they removed it again, why?.The last map "Haven"? Oh my got, they have the perfect map for CQ-Fights and they put vehicles in it, dice, really?You can shoot from one base to the other with Liz´s rocket, why? . Bf for me was huge maps a lot of vehicles, more points/EXP for playing the objective or supporting your team and not how good. you are at camping and farming kills. Now we have to wait what they do with the next BF. I hope they are not killing it finally with the new one. Sry for my bad english. I played since BF 1942. So mad to see how EA destroyed their biggest franchise, because of the quick money
I feel bad for battlefield 2042 i thought they would make more content maps and modes but i guess they give up but this game bf will be forgotten very fast so hope for next battlefield to be completed experience like bf3,bf4,bf1 lots of maps modes

When BF1 released i was so pumbed as the trailers left me with goose bumps. And when i started playing BF1 i could not stop......2042 was the total opposite was such a let down and i uninstalled this game a long while back. I wont be pre ordering the next one as they now have the job of not just releasing a better title but also winning me back to a franchise that i have played since 1942 released. Good Luck Dice.....

Very sad. 2042 has made many improvements and has potential for it to be a lot better game. I enjoy playing it very much but it seems like unfortunately with the last few titles, this same topic is being repeated over and over again. There’s nothing like the sandbox, mayhem FPS like a Battlefield game and I do truly hope that they get their stuff together and finally go all in, in the next game for us. Nothing like the Battlefield community.

it's so sad that this game become cod stylish gameplay. i liked it so much. bc2, bf3, bf4 and bf1 was for me the best. the ambient on all this was on another level. it was so much fun. but now. its like you play a cod mod. the ambient dont feels like an bf anymore. i really hope they make bf7 great again. :(
I do always uninstall this game after 5 minutes every 6 month
2042 is just such a big question mark. It was my first battlefield that I followed all the development for and into release. It never did scratch that itch though. I don’t know if the first few buggy months set it down this path or the new content or the lack there of. I’d love to sink into this franchise the same way I was able to sink into other great franchises. I think I might be too late for that.
I hope for BF1 Remake just some new maps and make the graphique better let the old maps with some changes n stuff and let the old days back again

I love bf. Been playing since bad company. I've watched it evolve it into an amazing game and then watched it crash and burn. We're just gonna have to see if they learnt their lesson or not because if this game is another flop, I think that's it for battlefield unfortunately. I hope not but they can't take another loss I don't think.

2042 is a pretty ass game, simple assessment. Although, I do enjoy it for what it is, I don't treat it like a Battlefield game and think of it like a random FPS game, I get more fun out of it that way. 2042 is already pretty dead here in OCE, only 2 - 3 servers across the entire game, so it's pretty rough, this end of life is gonna kill it 100%.
I get it though. Tie off the wound and rebuild. It's the best choice. IMHO, the path should be clear on what to salvage from past games and move forward with. The question is "setting" . Modern, past, future? My idea is to have a non nuclear world war 3 type setting where multiple factions invade the US on all borders, so you'll have city maps on east and west coast and rural areas on north and southern borders, just for starters. And have this be pretty much now or very slightly in the future as far as visuals, weapons, vehicles, etc.
I don't think that's the case. It's probably gonna be an extremely safe Battlefield 3-4 type setting.

At the very least DICE should open up Portal properly after season 7 is complete. At least then the community can make something of what's left of the game.
