I had TKR 2 months ago and it’s still so stiff and painful. I regret doing this so much. Never again.

Very helpful. Covered a lot of bases. Great to know what to look out for going forward after TKR.

I had my second knee replacement on 8/11. I hope this is not an issue for me. The first knee was done a year ago and it took 9 months for the pain to stop. I still have some every now and then but that don't count. When I hurt it is because I over used the leg, not from the surgery.

I’m 3 weeks in, & think I’m doing ok. But I feel I’m taking one step forward & two steps back.
Maybe I’m doing too much too soon 🤷🏻‍♀️ one day I feel great, then after pushing my physio, I’m too sore to do much the following day. So feel like I’m not getting as far as I should be.
Walking great, & able to walk without sticks around the house, but worried about my flexion. Struggling to get any further without being & causing too much pain.

Vicki Cornerstone yes, I have set exercises to do at home, then I’m due to see my PT in 2 weeks time. I actually hurt my back doing one of the exercises 🙈 ( I have arthritis in my back too) so that set me back nearly a week 🙄
It’s just hard knowing how hard to push myself without doing too much, but yes I think I need to slow down a little bit

I'm 81and had tkr 9 most ago. Pain every day. Cement is coming apart so I have to get a revision. Is this common
Feel like I can't live through it again.

Sorry to hear that Kathy! It isn't common but I have seen cases like you describe. You are stronger than you know and I have seen great outcomes after the revision. Keep us posted.

Now I have to wait to get it fixed. The governor has stopped elective surgery due to the pandemic. I don't think revision is elective when the components are failing and I can barely walk.

I was bone on bone on both knees. I had a total knee replacement on my right knee since then the pain has been bad. At the very top of my knee is a knot that is painful and turns black and swells up. When I ask the Dr. He said he wasn't worried about that. Along with nerve pain and the bone going down the outside of mt leg hurts My surgeon tells me my knee surgery was fine but, says all of this pain and swelling I am having is due to my back and wants to proceed to replace my left knee. I have also lost a lot of range in a short period in my right knee and can barely walk. I am at a loss I have been to Drs. and no one is helping me. I am too young to not be able to do the simplest of things my quality of life is gone. I can't work and have lost everything. He told me the last time I went it was my muscle above my knee but, didn't say what's wrong with it. Could you please help me to understand? I also have deep vein issues that got worst after the surgery he told me not to have them fixed because if I did and they got infected I would have to amputate my leg😳I am scared my mother passed from a vein issue. As you can see I am a mess please help me.

I also had an infection in my body for a month I took three rounds of antibiotics even shots and went to him with concerns about it reaching my knee he blew me off wouldn't even do a simple test to make sure my knee wasn't infected. To date, I still can't walk and am in a lot of pain. The nurse called and wants me to have my other knee replaced and she got upset when I told her no until This leg was fixed.
