Greetings from the U.S. I got my Tikka T3x stainless for white tail this summer and finally got it out to range today. It seems 308 Winchester 150 Grain they were 1/2 inch 3 shot groups amazing accuracy. It also liked Winchester Super X 150 which I've used for years but a bit smaller groups with XP. Thanks for the video, I wanted to reduce the trigger pull, but not a hair trigger. Thanks for the demonstration and welcome to AUKUS. God bless our Brit and Australian brothers. (I'm a military guy)
I love the 3006 . .. my misses has a308 and there very similar...I can throw a heavier pill with a bit more punch but other than that... same recoil.. weight etc
2 comments, get snap caps to avoid damaging your firing pin when dry firing. Second, torque your bolts to Tikka specs to avoid them loosening in the field.
Mine wasn't mate. 4 plus pounds for me I was pulling it a little hard and torquing the gun. I found my groups tightened big time once adjusting. But everyone's diff 😊
@@barrettsoutdooradventures4630 mine is about 2.5 lbs out of the box! It’s a new super lite so maybe they are shipping them lower now? Most accurate rifle I’ve ever shot, and the action is smooth as butter!
Great video, I just got a new tikka polyfade in 300wm and the trigger was the first thing I did. How do you find having the sling with a bipod on, does the bipod dig into your back
You know I have a Tikka M55 in 6mm Rem..I 've had it sincevthe 70s,,But.I wanted to get a 223rem. But I don't like that plastic stock 😕 So..I got a Rem 783 in a 223rem I love it.
It's a vortex diamondback tactical mate. It's been great but i would get a smaller scope next time. This is my first rifle and I only need half the zoom that this scope offers for the hunting I do. I usually shoot at 100 yards or under
ok yep i tried this after adjusting and its fine on my rifle. However every rifle could be different. Iv also been told to put a whole new spring in if worried .
@@barrettsoutdooradventures4630How do you like the tikka been wanting to buy a tikka roughtech ember in 30/06. I feel like 30/06 is the best caliber. Everyone telling me I should just get the 308 instead.

I just bought my Tikka t3x super varmint in
30 06
I love it 😎
great rifle :)
Mcarbo makes an inexpensive trigger spring kit for the Tikka. Great upgrade. Should get you down around 2 lbs or so. Easy install & video.
Cheers mate. Yes I'll put a different spring in if I want to go even lighter. However I find with the hunting I do this is great atm.
Great vid mate, my 223 has a trigger like a brick! Adjusting it tonight 👍👍
Awesome mate. Best thing iv done so far hey
@@barrettsoutdooradventures4630 holy cow, that made SUCH a difference!

I out a Yo Dave spring in mine two days ago. Now it should be adjustable from 12oz to 2lbs.
Saving up for a Tikka t3x hunter with the beautiful walnut stock. 300 Win Mag. Can’t wait.
Sounds like a nice gun 😊
Hope you like recoil😂 get a better recoil pad and a muzzle brake
I had a Sako Hunters Special 300win mag, bauitful gun

5 minute mark, ypu going to let that crow sqauwk at you like that with that rifle in your hands?
Nice tikka. My T3x is stainless/laminate in .243 and loves 87 v max made here in Oz
Is the Laminate much heavier than the synthetic? Thanks
@@rainsong7327 Probably, but good looker and very little recoil. A mild workout for a 75 yo.
Hey mate how many lbs did you do the stock screws back up to

Good video new subscriber quick question is there a special torque you need for the screws to go back in the riffle
There would be mate id say yes
Nice video...!!! Can you tell me the brand and model of that digital weight scale ????
Ok... its looks an CUPID B11 Handheld Digital Bow Scale

Hey Barrett hello from NY. Is the recoil manageable?
yeah mate, my 13 yr old son shoots it fine.
@@barrettsoutdooradventures4630 ok cool. So much talk about the kick with this gun in 3006. Thank you
300 win mag is where the tikka will absolutely hurt your feelings 😂😂
When you back it out that far it can discharge when you slam the bolt handle down before safety can be engaged, it happened to me ....not fun
