As an old guy who still races I consider Greg Hancock to be an absolute star. To have the enthusiasm and desire to compete at the highest level is not all, you still need the flexibility and reflexes as well. Also a mind that can over ride the expectations the rest of society places in regards to the behaviour expected from a 45 year old man.
One of the best things was that the floor of the Etihad Stadium is a big Aussie rules football oval and they used its size well. We got a big, fast and very well prepared 346 metre track rather than some compacted 280 metre thing you see in some of the stadiums the SGP series uses.
Jason Crump and one of the English commentators from the other rounds would be an improvement. The guy that's not Jason Crump sounds like he's doing a horse race.
