The vibrato in the Johnny Cash impression was spot on.
That Johnny Cash impersonation was spot-on 🤭😭 Lol 😁‼️
It was good, but not spot on...Look up Merle Haggard's go on him
Incredible
Facts lol
Jesus Christ, Johnny and June hanging with Murphy... someone animate this.
It would have made an excellent episode of Mike Judge's 'Tales From The Tour Bus.'
I was thinking the same Great talent recognizes great talent.
@@Ifoughtpiranhas first thing that popped in my head after the OP comment! Thats a great series, man. Now, i must watch..lol
Fallon is so boring to watch. No wonder he’s in last place.
Jesus Christ was there too? Hmm... pics or it didn't happen.
Even with Eddie being a master of a lot of impressions I never could have guessed he do a Johnny Cash impression that well.
I could listen to Eddie stories all day
His brother Charlie was excellent story teller too.. .must run in family.
Yes! Him, Charlie & Dave Chapelle!
Very good story teller...that makes it hilarious
Even given all that Eddie has accomplished in his career, I don't know if there's another major entertainer whose talent I think has been so underutilized... there's so much there, and we've only gotten a bit of it.
That Johnny Cash impression was spot on, I wasn’t sure I knew what Johnny cash sounded like until he did that.
The irony of what you just said
@@clinthuff9868 😁
Nathaniel bowers 😂😂😂😂
Clint Huff right! 😂😂
Clint Huff 😂 that was the point
He's the GOAT. So many legends and careers have been started and successful due to this awesome comedian !!!!!!!
Eddie would tell you Richard Pryor is the GOAT.
@muka ferguson LOL...no. Carlin might have a place on the stand up rushmore, but Pryor, Murphy, and Chappelle are the other three. Because they could play to everyone. Carlin and Dangerfield were white male guys, which is why a bunch of CZcams anonymous white dudes will try to elevate them when the sane consensus is, they're not on the level of their black contemporaries. Carlin was on the Comedy Central special calling Pryor the GOAT. But okay
Greatest of All Time (GOAT).
@@manuginobilisbaldspot424 "Carlin and Dangerfield were white male guys, which is why a bunch of CZcams anonymous white dudes will try to elevate them when the sane consensus is, they're not on the level of their black contemporaries. "
Shut yo racist mouf, yo bref be stank.
Manu Ginobilis Bald Spot Maybe consider turning down the racism 😉.
Humor is subjective, everyone have different likes. I know people who don’t like Prayor, and the same is true of the other two you mentioned. People like different things.
Dangerfield was a funny and great comedian. But he is also from a different time, which sometimes makes it harder to relate for some people. The same is honestly true of Pryor to some degree.
That Johnny Cash impression was better than Merle Haggard's! Impressive
Good...Not better.
jeremy gilreath I know dude I replayed it 10 times I was shook 😂
That simply just ain’t true
@@aleksanderreljanovic Look up Johnny Counterfiet, or Jackson Cash...Booozooo'zs
@@EmpoweredLeaders 🤣 i have to watch it every few months
What some people don’t realize is that so many comics we know and love today wouldn’t be here without this man’s influence and impact on comedy
That sounds more like a recording of johnny cash than an impression!!!!!!!!!!
Sean Kearney I know what in the world 😂
Eddie has really aged gracefully. His old ass looks fresh as a daisy.
Jay Kuykendall Money don’t crack
Jay Kuykendall on top of Black don’t crack
that Shrek money lol
I think I read that he never drank or smoked. That could be why.
true I love sour cream
Damn his Johnny impression was spot on.. Eddie had a ball working with him on that show.. they did a skit where Eddie was a death row prisoner and he had his final request and it was for Johnny to sing 99,999 cans of beer on the wall, and Johnny sang it all the way thru (they skipped thru it of course.) Eddie spent the time clapping along enjoying it. Same for the end of the show all of the cast gathered around like kids and listened to Johnny sing, it was awesome.
Tyler Beamer where is this skit now ? I would die to watch it, I mean when would you ever hear Johnny Cash and Eddie Murphy in the same sentence let along the same skit on SNL. ?? So fucking cool. Johnny died the same year as my paw paw.
@@brandonhaynes2652 Sadly it's not on You Tube :( ... IDK why it's one of Eddie's best skits and should be. I have the whole episode on tape it's really fun.
@@efan2012 My brother has it on tape too.
Man that Johnny Cash impression was frickin awesome.
Eddie Murphy looks exactly the same as he did back in the 90s .god bless him man
*black don't crack*
Arup Guha 80’s playa....and early 80’s at that 😉
@@Burstify Amen to that 😂😂
I have been watching clips of Eddie Murphy’s interviews this week. He’s got a great memory, he remembers everything and everyone.
Eddie's Johnny Cash impression showed the difference between mere mimicry and someone with greater talent, who can capture the essence of a person in their impression.
That cracked me up bad when he did Johnny cash impression that's actually how Johnny cash sound.
He obviously respects him, Jimmy toned down the antics in this.
That’s toned down? I thought he was going to fall out of the chair when Eddie did the Johnny Cash voice. His fake laugh hand slap-touch the guest BS.
Skull Rings, Knives, Watches That’s very toned down
I noticed that too. Dude actually gave af and researched.
it would seem Jimmy Fallon looks up to Eddie
Thats right! Anybody in show-biz knows they better respect Eddie. He's a true natural, very intelligent and talented. Bastards like Kevin Hart should go into hiding until Eddie's movies and stand ups have been over for a year or so.
35 years since his audition but he still looks 35. ✨🔥🙏
Michael Trapson eh that's true
Right? How the heck does he still look so good?
Man he looks so young he has aged very well I love Eddie Murphy
I think Eddie is one of the most naturally gifted impressionists ever. Even his little "throwaway" impressions on talk shows are dead-on (Tracy Morgan, Johnny Cash)
He nailed Johnny Cash. Classic Eddie.....
I have a prediction; this will be the highest rated Saturday night live show in 35 years.
And you're absolutely right!👍
I watched the entire show. Fisrt time I did that, since he left. He was awesome.
That Johnny cash impression was hilarious
Mr. Robinson, Velvet Jones, Gumby and Buckwheat all showed out tonight!
Eddie Murphy's comeback makes me very happy.
When Eddie did the Johnny Cash impression, I bursted out laughing 😂
If we don't see Mister Robinson's Neighbourhood, I'll cry. And maybe throw something.
New Message He mentioned in a recent interview with Al Roker, and another interview as well, that he wants to do Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood.
New Message I hope Joe Piscopo makes a cameo appearance!
Respect/Walk If that's the case, they should change the title of the show to "Saturday Night Liberals"!
@@honestperson6280 You had to sour it by making it about politics, you mad 'cause your president got impeached?
Same here
Eddie Murphy is my favorite comedian he is the king of comedy!🤹👑
Say that sh*t!!!! #LEGEND
Eddie really likes the word 'surreal'
It's so real
Best way to describe the life he's lived. He's got hella stories
I love him so much, I didn't want to say it.
It's like Jamie Foxx has that one story he tells over and over again and Eddie has a million that we haven't even heard yet.
I mean...it's ACCURATE. No one has had his life in entertainment. One audition. Becomes a breakout star at 19. Becomes a huge star at 21. Becomes the biggest star in the world by 23. Is absolutely known everywhere around the world by 25. Only person in his orbit is Michael Jackson. There weren't 19, 20, 21 year olds hanging out with Johnny Cash and Brando. And he's been "Eddie Murphy" the last 35-40 years with enough star power for his renaissance to be this anticipated event.
He hasn't changed a bit
He is about 3 to 4 years older than I am and as the old saying goes "Black don't crack" and even with his lifestyle, versus my mundane one, damn he looks fantastic and way better than I do. Shit.
Because he never changed how his hair is or mustage. Same for woman if the keep the same style make up and hair they never seem to get older
Negative because I know normal people who never change, including me, and they don't look as good. I think it is the money they have to go have work done, and I don't mean face lifts which 99% of the time butcher the person.
@Pipe Down Yep, and the Gen Y "stars" are as fake as you can get. I have watched Eddie since he started on SNL and honestly I ceased to watch SNL as much after his tenure but did stick around until 1992/1993. The best years of SNL for me was 1975-1985 then it started to slowly go down hill and after Carvey left it turned to pure garbage.
So?
I love that, Johnny Cash got Eddie Murphy to the after-party. What a great story.
Wow - what an impressive Johnny Cash impression!
Dang this man doesn't age!! He is still gorgeous! 😉😁🥰🥰🥰💜❤
I was half expecting Bill Hader as Stefan to come out when he started talking about Bentley’s XD
Eddie Murphy doing Johnny Cash, love it!
Eddie Murphy is almost 60.
Johnny Cash voice perfect 😁
eddie's johnny cash impression was spot on! but jimmy just kills it with his fake laughs!
Jimmy needs to learn the art of shutting up...and letting a guest talk. He is not a great interviewer.
The fake interest and fake giggling is just too much.
Legend.
No, that was Will Smith! 😂🤣😂 sorry, I couldn't resist!
Tyrade Shift wooooooooow
@@batcat101 It was a great film.
Tyrade Shift it was a really good movie
Dont mind me I'm just here watching everything Eddie Murphy related.
Eddie.... for ever Eddie 💖
Wow! BEST JC impression ever! Better than Joaquin 👏
Eddie Murphy is low-key stuntin' here, not too loud yet looking casually fresh while chatting with Jimmy Fallon.
He is one of the greatest to ever do it! I’m sooo excited for tonight! This will be one of the most epic episodes of SNL!
Shamone!
What's up trapson♥️
Hey Trapson 🙋🏽♀️💖💋🕺🏽‼️
Aviators on my face get that bitch outta my face
Worst name of all time
Mamasaymamasamamakusa
MUSHUUU
HE LOOKS SUPER YOUNG
Bill Burr hit the nail on the head when he talked about lotion!! How is this man 58years old???
Remember to moisturize, my white friend. 👊🏾
"I only went to an SNL after-party once".........why he's still here alive and not dead from an over-dose......
Oh 💩...
Chris Farley, as great as he was, chose to do drugs. Apparently, Eddie Murphy chose not to, as well as many other former, still-living cast members.
If you’re talking about Johnny Cash, he didn’t die from drugs, he died from complications of diabetes. He was long off drugs before his death in 2003 at age 71
HOLY SHIT. . .. . .could you imagine bein at a party with Eddie Murphy and Johnny Cash.. . . .. thats more legendary than Chapelle and Prince. . .
?? Nah want to know what’s even more legendary Charlie Murphy probably did attend that Johnny cash party along with prince
*Chappelle
Different times. Same coolness.
How does he look the same from when I was a kid and I'm almost 30? lol
That's nuthin: he look the same from when I was a kid and I'm almost 50.
Pumpkin MELANIN...
He looks bloated
Pumpkin exactly it’s crazy
Eddie Murphy: "You know what they say... Money don't crack"
Eddie is really good at impressions.
Bentlys, yes, I sure as hell remember my days there. I saw Ce Ce Penniston perform "Finally" there when the some was coming up.
I love stories like this, can you imagine walking into a room and seeing Johnny Cash and Eddie Murphy just sitting there shooting the shit?
Partying with Eddie Murphy and Johnny Cash is THE dream!
Johnny Mfn Cash. Arkansas representin'
Eddie is a national treasure. He is such a cool, nice dude who provided so many years of entertainment for all of us.
Hey this is a fantastic video
Johnny Cash and Eddie Murphy partying together. How classic is that.
He’s hardly aged. I’ve never really seen an Eddie Murphy interview, he’s a very calm person.
Only Cash could get him to his only one SNL party. '"June and I Really Love You"
That johnny cash impression he did was funny asl
That Johnny Cash impression killed me
dang, he did a perfect Johnny Cash!
2:20 Johnny Cash impression.
Whipped out the Johnny cash impression like it was nothing. Fucking legend.
That's the best Johnny Cash impression I've ever heard
Man i was just listening Party all the time before this video
I love his movie Pluto Nash! I bought it on iTunes and enjoy it still.
Buck wheat..one of my favorites...when Buckwheat cut an album...I nearly peed my pants...love you Eddie
Can Fallon every scale back and not pretend every word from his guests is comedic gold
It's great to have Eddie Murphy back on The Tonight Show after 35 years. I love his stand-up comedy and all of his movies include Dolemite Is My Name and I will see the trailer of Coming 2 America. 🍿🎥
Loved the Christmas SNL SHOW WITH EDDIE MURPHY 😋😎😋
0:49 This might be the first time Jimmy has actually laughed in his entire life.
Seen this when it aired on my TV live and loved this so much thanks for the excellent interview and excellent Show Jimmy
Watching Jimmy practically fan out for Eddie is awesome
Eddie Murphy could have done “Walk the Line”
Probably the best Johnny Cash impression I’ve ever heard !
One of the best actors in my lifetime! Thankyou Eddie!
The Man
The Myth
The Gumby dammit
Eddie Murphy is the best!!!! Love him!😍
✌🏽😂, I remember his ole school jokes!!
As a huge fan of Johnny Cash, SNL, and Eddie Murphy. I swear I’ve never heard him do an impression that isn’t SPOT ON. From Elvis, Sinatra, Tracy Morgan and more. I don’t think there’s an impression he can’t do. Haha’.
His return to SNL was hands down the best SNL of the last 25+ years.
We’re so stoked to have you back in the light, Eddie! 🤙
This dude is almost 60...
And he's still funny
And he looks great!
AleahKCH he actually looks better than he did in the 80s. Although I have to admit if he looked this good in the 80s they would have chosen someone else to play mr Robinson on snl and I don't think anyone could play mr Robinson better than Eddie murphy
He looks 40
Eddie Murphy was born on April 3 1961 and Eddie Murphy is 59 years old

His laugh....priceless, always
Man I wonder if Johnny Cash’s autobiography talks about Eddie Murphie
That's a pretty damn good Johnny cash that he does
It's nice to see Eddie so natural, humble, and funny. He's living good, I love his Johnny Cash impression! Ummm, and why is Jimmy whispering?
Oh my gosh he looks so young
#ElixirOfLongLife
When you don't have stress in your life you don't age
AWESOME Love Eddie💓💕💞💥
These questions reminds me eddie Murphy interview with letterman... Eddie did same johny cash impression...
Dumb crowd don’t know who Johnny Cash is. That was perfect!
Love you Eddie, I can listen to Eddie's stories all day
My two favorite SNL cast members are John Belushi and Eddie Murphy. Happiness & long life to you and I'll be watching a whole Live from New York that I haven't watched in a long time!
Eddie Murphy is my favorite Hollywood star as far as Cred goes. He has stories for everything. And he's so chill about it. It's a part of his life.
