    Exactly the way we stocked up - slowly and just alittle extra than normal on each trip so others could also stock up too.. so sad that some people have to hoard everything on the shelves in an entire store and be completely inconsiderate to their communities. Thankfully some of us still have our sanity and compassion! 🤗

      I work as a cashier in Italy and these times are really fucking challenging for me. People going out for groceries don't understand that I work for them and I'm not there cause I have fun going work while everyone's forced to stay at home. Everytime someone's get angry at me if they don't find what they're searching I just wanna give up everything I swear

    When people are uncertain of the future they act like animals. Been crazy here too. Our Walmart put strict limits on supplies to try and stop the absurd hoarding and reselling online , but everything’s been out for awhile. Poor Walmart employee I spoke with a few days ago had been there the entire day to try and help people and contain the craziness. Good you have what you needed ahead of time, I slowly bought some things too like hand sanitizer and felt silly for having bought a few a month ago but now that it’s sold out everywhere I’m so glad I did.

    Mary, thank you for acknowledging retail workers. I'm all the way over in Australia but experiencing levels of demand I've never seen before in the 9 years I've been at the grocery store where I work. Some of our staff are doing 6-7 days straight, 10 hour shifts to keep up, serve the customers, and get the stock out. I know we're not on the same level as health care workers who are absolutely doing an amazing job, but I appreciate your thanks nonetheless :) Take care over there!

    I also don’t understand the toilet paper. If it comes down to it you can wipe with a dam wash cloth and water. 🙄 People who have babies on formula i cannot believe people who don’t have babies have been taking it incase we run out of milk. My Costco had two women fist fighting over toilet paper. They were both escorted out and neither got any toilet paper😂🤦‍♀️

    I have no idea why they’re stocking up in toilet paper. Y’all really poop 30 times a day? If so then you got bigger things to worry about than the corona virus 😂 I had a very unpleasant experience today. I went to WinCo for my weekly grocery shopping, LITERALLY NOTHING! I was lucky to find kale spinach celery and frozen fruit for my green smoothies. Of course no toilet paper and paper towels or napkins. I am running low on TP and there wasn’t any. Like seriously??? I bet there’s a few people here in the comments who are those people who stock up on TP, stop doing that. Leave it for the people who actually need it. If we were quarantined, the max we would be is 1 month, y’all really need 5 TP packs for 1 month??? STOP👏🏻BEING👏🏻GREEDY👏🏻 AND👏🏻LEAVE👏🏻SOME👏🏻FOR👏🏻THE👏🏻REST👏🏻OF👏🏻US👏🏻WHO👏🏻ACTUALLY👏🏻NEED👏🏻IT👏🏻 SMH

      Ye Zhao lol nah don’t think so, they’re just inconsiderate people who think we’re going to be quarantined for a year. There’s plenty of other ways to make masks.

      Some people I know have had better luck at smaller stores, but I think for most stores it's a matter of right time right place.

    • @katstorm13
      @katstorm13 Před 4 lety

      And I think the majority of thinking is either "we're going to be on a FULL lockdown for months," or "dang these fools buying up all the tp I better stock up cuz I'll never be able to buy it again. Or, like my mom initially seemed to think...because of China's quarantine zone we should stock up on items made in China like tp and ibuprofen. 😂

    I’m happy I’m almost always stocked up on things. We got a TP delivery from amazon that I’ve had set up for a long time about 3 days before this panic happened. Thankfully there are lots of snack food available still ha. I haven’t gone to the store since I’ve heard about this madness.

    I, like you, started prepping really early (like the beginning of February,) because I’m immunocompromised & was watching the progress in China. I’ve noticed the people who kind of joked about me being paranoid have abruptly stopped.
    BTW peaceful video of your backyard birds might make for a good ASMR video. Maybe you could even identify them for those of us who only recognize the ones that are hard to mistake (in my case pigeons, blue jays, cardinals, & crows.)

    Your so lucky Mary that you can go to different places to get your groceries. Where I live in Australia we have 1 Woolworths in our town (major city is over 4 hours away). We’re restricted to buying only two of packet stuff, canned food, bread, milk, rice etc. it’s difficult but we have to manage. Agree, big shout-out to retail workers and frontline staff ❤️❤️. Hope you and your boys are doing ok. Xxx

    My mom was able to work from home. To sum it up... We have a VERY small house and everything is clumped together. So, her desk area was right in the middle of the chaos. My brothers and I argue a lot and then we also mess around or we play games together because we're bored. She was exhausted at the end of the day.
    Best of luck with you and hopefully your house is a bit more spacious

    Hey there, I think you are a wonderful woman. You knew in advance that something was going to happen. And you didn't care about people telling you "Are you really going to ruin this for your kids?". I live in Brussels, Belgium and here it is very serious. We have 11 million inhabitants, and we have over 2000 people who are infected with Covid-19. I am majoring in History, and I am fascinated about how well documented this crisis will be. Keep on being your positive self, be safe! X (Excuse my English haha)

    Always love seeing your finds! I love the lemonades at Aldi, but am not a fan of their sparkling water either. If you’re open to trying a different kind, Walmart carries a brand of them called Clear American. Much more flavor to them! Same size bottle as the Aldi ones and still pretty cheap! They are usually next to the Gatorade in my local Walmart if you think you’d like to try them. I am also on the fence about Mtn Dew zero sugar! 😂
