    किरात सभ्यता हो। किरात धर्म लिम्बू जातिको प्रमुख धर्म हो। फेदाङ्मामा,येबा,साम्बा,को मुन्धुम र सत्तेहाङ को मुन्धुम खाजोङ एउटै छ। यसैले लिम्बुको सनातन बेद मुन्धुन लिपि भासा सस्कृती सस्कारको बाटोमा हिड्दा फलदायी छ। सन्ततिलाई हस्तान्तरण गर्नुपर्छ। येबाले मातेर तङ्सिङ्ह गर्दा मुन्धुम पुरा नगरेर माङ्तते भै मान्ङ्सेवा पूरा हुदैन है। लिखित बेद नै रहिरहन्छ। हिन्दुको धामी,लिम्बुको येबा कामेर, फलाकेर मुन्धुम गर्दा भासा लिपि लोप हुन्छजस्तो मलाई लागेर कहाली लागिरहेको छ स्रुतिबाटा धर्म हुदैन। रहदैन पनि।

    very nice to learn about Mundhum and some reporter also showing some interest bout it. When I was in kharmi gairikhani Okhaldhunga in my maternal area. My mother brought me to Bhojpur for my education and had opportunity to see Danwa Dilpa and chhenamakhu all rais's villages and see the social functions and saw doing all kinds of religious activities. I was told Mudhum is essential when you are doing any social or any function even when you are doing chandi Nach. so you have to have an expert who has learnt it from beginning to end. rais were band from education read and write and all kiranti literature and destroyed and band to read and write. ( hast kalam}.
    so there is no Rais history in writing and no literature. so Mundhu is chanted only no literature.

    Need of Universal Kirat Myth for origin of humankind and Mundhum:
    There are various narrations of myths in kirat about origin of humankind and traditions. Because of this, people are finding difficult to believe in Kirat Mundhum & tradition. This is the main drawback of Kirat society, and people are adopting other religions. We need to unify Kirat myths narration for origin of hunmankind and Mundhum. We must make one universal believeable Kirat myth about origin of humankind and Mundhum.
    We must have one attractive Kirat myth beffiting with present practices and widely advertise, propagate and resonate in unison to bring uniform belief in Kirat myth and Mundhum. Also we must write mundhumi prayers or mantras for funeral of the deceased; prayers for cleansing of deceased family members, reaching soul of the deceased to Heaven, prayers for appeasing deities etc. Then it will be attractive, effective & people will not think of adopting other religions. For doing this, people who have wisdom in Kirats, knowledge, experience, ability and enthusiats must come together, discuss and write an universal believeable Kirat myth on origin of humankind and Mundhum befitting the present situation and resonate in unison.

    Mundhum, Ved haru sabai nepal ka dhan hun ra iniharu lai jogaunu sabai ko, rai, limbu, bahun, chhetri, newar etc, haru ko kartabya ho. Sabai jana lay ek arka bata sikyo bhanay matra nepali ko pahichan jogincha.

    . ORIGIN OF HUMAN BEINGS ACCORDING TO KIRAWA MUNDUM AND REASON FOR WORSHIPING THREE HEARTHSTONE OR (TSULA).
    KIRAWAS believe in several mythologies about origin of human beings. Let me highlight on one mythology of Kirat Rai, the origin and end of humankind's life.
    You may have seen three stones placed at hearths of Kirat Rai homes. Even now also many Kirawas worship three hearthstones of their homes. The three stones are called "Suptulung", "Taralung" and "Sakhalung." Also some Kirawas call it "Papalung," "Mamalung" and "Ramilung." Some other Kirawa clan call Dewalung, Tayalung and Ruthulung. The worshipping of Hearthstone "Tsula" of Kirat Rai with three hearthstones are known as "SAMKHA" or "Dab-bay" in Kirat Rai language.
    In Kirawa mythology, once up on a time, in this Universe, Paruhang and Sumdima (Sumnima) existed. There was no life on earth (Henkhama) other than Paruhang and Sumnima. One day they happened to make a statue from the ash of their fire hearthstone or " Tsula". Sumnima collected ash from their fire Hearth "Tsula" and Paruhang brought water from spring in his "Wabook", which in nepali called "Chindo" and in english it is known as bottle gourd. Both of them mixed the ash and water together and made mud. Out of this mud, they made a first statue seeing Paruhang's shadow having a head with eyes, ears, nose, mouth, body and legs. They kept the statue in the sunlight and air to dry. That very statue had the shape of present mankind but it was not able to move and speak. What they did thereafter was that Paruhang placing his mouth at the statue's mouth and gently blew air and spoke at the mouth and ear of the statue. Because of devine power of Paruhang, the very statue could move and speak. Paruhang and Sumdima were very happy with their creation but found their creation was feeling lonely. They decided to make another similar statue out of same mud for companion. This time they made the statue seeing Sumnima's shadow. Sumnima gently blew air and spoke at the mouth of the second statue. Due to devine power of Sumnima, the second statue also came in life. Thereafter, these two statues which came in life had each others companion. The statue which Paruhang gently blew air at its mouth became male and the statue which Sumnima gently blew air at its mouth became female. Sumnima and Paruhang created the statues out of ash, water, heat, light, air and named as Marrima for female and Kirat for male. They stayed together and later many progenies came from them. Since Paruhang and Sumnima created Kirat and Marrima, Kirawas of ancient time
    considered Marrima and Kirat as children of Sumnima and Paruhang. And Kirawas of nowadays consider themselves as descendants of Paruhang and Sundima which is known as "CHILDREN of SUMNIMA and PARUHANG." That is why Kirawas call themselves as "ANKAN TSE NA SUMNIMA PARUHANG O CHA-TSE AY".
    Why Kirat Rai priests called "Mangpa" or "Doewa" or "Nakchong" or head of the family perform ritual rites at the Hearthstones "Tsulsa" of their homes?
    Kirawas respect parents, fore fathers, ancesters and invoke blessings from them to protect them from evil and provide with bountiful of luck, wealth and good health.
    According to Kirat Rai mythology human beings originated from ash of Paruhang and Sumnima's fire Hearth or "Tsula" by mixing ash with water, heat light, air and formed some living beings by Sumnima and Paruhang. That is why "Mangpas", "Doewas" or "Nakchong" call the soul or spirit of the decease at his/her fire hearth after their demise. Since our life came from ash of Paruhang and Sumnima's hearthstone or "Tsula" and we go back to same fire Hearth or "Tsula" after our death. That is why Kirawas worship their homes" fire Hearthstones or "Tsula" considering it as the "Tsula" of Paruhang and Sumnima. Kirawas worship their ancesters, Paruhang and Sumnima's at their "Tsulas" and it is called "SAMKHA" in Kirawa language and is considered as "TEMPLE" or "MANDIR" by Kirawas. In Kirawa language HEAVEN is known as "PARUHANG or NINAMA."
    So according to Kirat Rai one mythology, Paruhang and Sumnima are creator of human beings, animals and creatures, originated from Sumnima and Paruhang's Hearthstone ash, water, heat, light and air.
    Not only this, Paruhang and Sumnima created 84 numbers of statues of animals, birds, reptiles etc. out of ash, soil mixing with water and made them live with thier devine power. So according to your "KARMA" you take birth on this beautiful Earth "Henkhama". If you have done excellent deed when you had human life, your soul will be at PARUHANG or NINAMA ie. HEAVEN after death called NIRVANA. If you have done good deeds, you will be reborn in human life after death. If you have done bad deeds during human life, you will have to go through 84 times of birth and death life cycles of animals, birds and reptiles, (Chaurasy Juny) then only you will be reborn as human beings. Rebirth to human beings depend upon your good deeds or "KARMA" of your past life.
    This is how Kirat Rai "MUDHUM" or "MUNDUM" tells about Origin of humankind on earth and the reason for worship of three hearthstones or (TSULA) by Kirawas.
    In the beginning, Kirawas were not called Rai. It was much later Kirat offsprings and their descendants were called Rai, Limbu, Yakha, Sunwar, Mongar, Gurung, Dhimal, Tamang, Sherpa, Lepcha etc by some rulers at later stage. So these days, people call one of the offsprings of Kirat and descendants who worship hearthstone "Tsula" as Kirat Rai. And Kirat Rai were called as Kirawa because they were very strong and brave. According to Kirat Rai language, Kiwa is called Lion or Tiger. Lions and tigers are very strong and they are known as kings of the jungle. Similarly Kirat Rai were very stout and courageous. So Kirat Rai were named Kirawa after "Kiwa" ie. "Lion" or "Tiger".
    According to Kirat Rai mythology, human beings came from Paruhang and Sumnima's hearthstone fire, ash mixed water, statue dried in sunlight and air. But in present days we find so many human races on Earth (Henkhama) many fold more than Kirat Rai. Perhaps, human races other than Kirat Rai also could be descendants of Sumnima and Paruhang. It could be due to evolution, adaptation and adoption, descendants of Sumnima and Paruhang evolved into various human races on Earth "Henkhama".
