Dear Iftakhar, I normally don't comment on inspirational talks but recently I've started watching your vlogs, and without any doubt your choice of words make your talks very impressive. Now coming back to the story you've shared, I've sympathy for the respected individual you've talked about but, unfortunately, I don't agree with their expectations involving their children. I myself may be in a similar situation and many more fellows will also find them in the same boat, but the problem here, that most of us overlook ,is that while making money living abroad with families involves bringing up children in another culture which is the root of disappointment experienced by many. Children that are born and brought up in western culture, take more from where they live due to educational institutions and wider friendship circle rather than where their parents come from. With due respect ,we want to make money from adopted countries but we tend to reject their culture due to many genuine reasons, it is easy for a grown up person to keep distance but it isn't that easy for children. In this instance, my advice for the gentleman will be to live where they want and as long as their children keep visiting them time to time, there shouldn't be any problem. They should let their children live their life, we bring up our children as being responsible for their birth but we shouldn't dictate their future. Children are like birds, don't make cages for them and let them fly freely, disagreeing with something is not necessarily disrespecting someone. May God give that couple peace of mind. I'm related to education in the UK, and I always try to advise many individuals in exact same way.
One question I have is why don’t the parents live with kids in USA ? I understand that after living long years in USA , they miss Pakistan and want to live their remaining life here , but what’s better living conditions for their kids and even themselves? I think there is a fine line here , the parents could have stayed in Pakistan and could have remained in their own class , or else what they have achieved. Also now I feel as to who will live in Pakistan whereas there is no rule of law , we forgot what’s harram and halaal. Your own friends or even family can kill your for the sake of few thousands or lacs of rupees.

Very well said Mumtaz Khan. I had almost identical thoughts as i watched the video and was curious to see what others have to say. You are spot on. My parents always yearned that their children stay near them too but they understand the dynamics of life in the West and though they often lament but theres no emotional blackmail as such to make the children feel guilty about their choice. Unrealistic expectations are the crux of the problem in the desi culture sadly
@@mumtazkhan3837 brother ! I am very few fortunate Pakistanis Alhamdulillah who left everything in Canada for my parents. My parents are not Canadian citizens and they did not like it there even I made them visit canada for 6 months. The only problem I see in Pakistan is no one is safe here.
Expectation from Kids or expectation from parents or even expectation from anyone else only make one unhappy and miserable. I left Pakistan when I was 20years. Now I am 54 years old. Today I have 18, 12 year daughter and 8 year son. Expecting from kids to live in Pakistan later on is wrong in 1st place. Rather than I ask my kids to follow and live in Pakistan I would rather visit overseas 3-6 times a year stay as long as I want with them and back to Pakistan. As I am growing older the medical help overseas is batter than Pakistan. I have seen many people build big houses in Pakistan with thoughts of going back and live in Pakistan with family which is no more than a fairy tale. I have bought myself 2 bedroom flat in DHA Islamabad and 2 bedroom flat in Karachi. When ever I want to live in Pakistan in Karachi or Islamabad I can live there. I can go back overseas and live with kids. Home is where kids are. Not where I want. I have my siblings whom I miss the most and they all I've in Pakistan. The best way is to visit as many times to Pakistan as financially can. If this gentleman is billionaire he should buy his own airplane rather than crying out loud. Solution is what you can do yourself to solve it not what other can to for what you want....

Great inspirational story about Mr. Wiqar,s success but the rest of the story is very common.when the people go to overseas everybody plan to go there for few years to study or work and then above all for the future of their kids. Nobody hardly 1% come back in their planned time, because every plan and goal they achieve they they are ready for another plan and so on. Now once their kids going to school definitely they want theirs kids to study there, this is the turning point, this is the time when your kids are still very young to move back but if your need and greed still want to stay there then don't complain about all that depression and loneliness and ignorance of your kids for you. These kids who are born and raised there are raised in a very different culture and environment, which is totally different from your generation and totally from a different culture. Now are all grown up, got education have their careers, they got married , have their own kids and now they look for the future of their kids. It is not that they are ignorant and purposely doing that against but they are product of a very different culture, thinking and very different purpose in life what you had when you were young and came here. The bottom line is that I really don't blame the kids for that but the parents they are the ones who kept changing their plans from they came here for and keep try to get more,more and more and keep delaying their return. Now I think that it is the parents who either don't come or move back when kids are very young or get ready for the consequences of the seed you planted long time ago not your kids.
I live in UK came here 48 year ago when I was teenager I have 3 children I never thought to take them back to Pakistan because they born here they don't know Pakistan why should I force them to get back to Pakistan Pakistan is my country I have attachment with Pakistan when ever I want to go to Pakistan I goes there spends few months there then come back to my children

We were brought up in Malaysia. My dad was born and brought up in Malaysia.. Both my grandpparents died in Malaysia. I always had the love for Pakistan. I enjoy watching you vlogs. one of my friend shifted to UK with family since long, but i noted that every year his kids come to Pakistan (i think during school holidays in UK) and stay for some (week / months), once i ask him, it will be probably expensive you send kids every year to home town, he replied of course yes but it is very important for me and my kids, they know and meet every relatives, and familiar to culture and tradition, they go to mosque of home town, they make friends in home town and relative base, much more which is normally happened in Pakistan but not in Europe or America. i suggest that if a person make plan to go abroad with family, must plan about future and future of kids. . the story is very sad but i think he did everything for his family without planning if he plan only for money he is already succeeded and i am sure he never plan for future life (60+). i pray to Allha to help us and guide.

Great inspirational story about Mr. Wiqar,s success but the rest of the story is very common.when the people go to overseas everybody plan to go there for few years to study or work and then above all for the future of their kids. Nobody hardly 1% come back in their planned time, because every plan and goal they achieve they they are ready for another plan and so on. Now once their kids going to school definitely they want theirs kids to study there, this is the turning point, this is the time when your kids are still very young to move back but if your need and greed still want to stay there then don't complain about all that depression and loneliness and ignorance of your kids for you. These kids who are born and raised there are raised in a very different culture and environment, which is totally different from your generation and totally from a different culture. Now are all grown up, got education have their careers, they got married , have their own kids and now they look for the future of their kids. It is not that they are ignorant and purposely doing that against but they are product of a very different culture, thinking and very different purpose in life what you had when you were young and came here. The bottom line is that I really don't blame the kids for that but the parents they are the ones who kept changing their plans from they came here for and keep try to get more,more and more and keep delaying their return. Now I think that it is the parents who either don't come or move back when kids are very young or get ready for the consequences of the seed you planted long time ago not your kids.

I live in UK came here 48 year ago when I was teenager I have 3 children I never thought to take them back to Pakistan because they born here they don't know Pakistan why should I force them to get back to Pakistan Pakistan is my country I have attachment with Pakistan when ever I want to go to Pakistan I goes there spends few months there then come back to my children

Beautiful story. It does not mean that you are anti Pakistanis staying overseas. I am also a Pakistani because my grandparents were from then known as India. Before partition in 1947. We were brought up in Malaysia. My dad was born and brought up in Malaysia.. Both my grandpparents died in Malaysia. I always had the love for Pakistan. I enjoy watching you vlogs. Talking in punjabi. I too talk in punjabi.My Pakistanis friends always ask if I speak punjabi. I always tell them my mother tongue is punjabi. When I ask them 'how is my punjabi. They SAY MY PUNJABI IS VIP. I FEEL SO PROUD AS IT COMES FROM THE ROOTS

Mere maa 1971 se UK mei hain or mere abba ji 1976 se UK mei hain. Mein UK mein paida hua or mere behn bhai bhi. Yahan shaadiyan hui hamari. Ab bachay bhi idher hi hue... kayi baar sochta hoon ke agar mujhe Pakistan jaake rehna parrhe to kya karun ga. Kuch aisi sahooltain hain yahan jo Pakistan mei nahin milti, wahan ka lifestyle bhi alag hai kai baar insaan soch ke ghabrata hai ke mein kaise adjust karun ga... or wo cheez usko rokti rehti hai. one of my friend shifted to UK with family since long, but i noted that every year his kids come to Pakistan (i think during school holidays in UK) and stay for some (week / months), once i ask him, it will be probably expensive you send kids every year to home town, he replied of course yes but it is very important for me and my kids, they know and meet every relatives, and familiar to culture and tradition, they go to mosque of home town, they make friends in home town and relative base, much more which is normally happened in Pakistan but not in Europe or America. i suggest that if a person make plan to go abroad with family, must plan about future and future of kids. . the story is very sad but i think he did everything for his family without planning if he plan only for money he is already succeeded and i am sure he never plan for future life (60+). i pray to Allha to help us and guide.

بعد بڑھاپے میں بچوں سے کہا انکے ساتھ پاکستان چلیں تو بچوں کے انکار کر نے پر افسوس کر رہے ہیں
بچوں سے امید کرنا اور باقی زندگی تنہا تنہا غمگین گزارنا یہی زندگی خوشیوں میں بھی بدل سکتی ہے
انہیں بچوں کو اپنی دولت سے علیحدہ کر دیا جائے جس طرح بچوں نے اپنے ماں باپ کی خواہشوں کو رد کیا
انکے بچوں نے غیریت اختیار کی اب ان سے امید نہ رکھیں بلکہ کھل کر انکو بتا دیں انکے حصے میں جاہداد کا کچھ بھی نہیں ملے گا سوائے پیار و محبت کے یقینا ایسی اولاد حق بھی نہیں رکھتی انہوں نے زندگی کا ایک پارٹ تو اپنے بچوں کی لائف بنانے میں ادا تو کردیا اب باقی دوسرا پارٹ بڑھاپے میں اپنی دولت سے اپنے دیارے وطن کے بے آسرا یتیم بچوں میں اپنی دولت سے انکی زندگی بنا کر خدا کو خوش کرکے اپنی بھی زندگی کا سکون حاصل کریں خدا نے آپکو دولت test کے لیے دی ہے نپٹے ہوئےکام پر دوبارہ دولت لٹانا خدا کی دی ہوئی دولت کی ناشکری ھی ھوگی 😏
ٹھنڈے ملک سے تیتر بٹیر اوڑ کر آتے ہیں اور ماں باپ کے ساتھ ھی اڑ کر چلے جاتے ہیں وہ اسلیے کہ انکے پیٹ کے دانے کی راہ کا رستہ ماں باب ہی سے صحیح متعین ھوتا رہتا ہے ورنہ انکو چھوڑ کر اکیلے بھٹکتے strugal کرتے جلد مر جائیں گے
بلکل اسی طرح جو ماں باپ کے بچے پڑھ لکھ کر settle life گزارتے ہیں وہ بچے اکثر ماں باپ کے قریب نہیں رہتے
اور جو بچے غربت کی زندگی گزارتے ہیں جن کی کمائی میں انکو اپنا پیٹ پالنا مشکل ہوتا ہے وہ اپنے امیر ماں باپ کیساتھ پیار و محبت سے لگے رہتے ہیں
