      As good as the Podcast is, I would like to give few clarifications. I am a budding politician and I meet with lot of people, and at times even from MEA(Foreign office). So I would like to provide inputs on the possibility of gas/crude pipe lines between India and Pakistan (IPI or TAPI). The real problem is of insurance and ownership. What will be the nature of entity that owns the Pipe Line? Would Pakistan be okay if an Indian company owns it? Who will insure such company? Can Pakistan bear the costs of Insurance? It will likely to run into over a $2 billion. Perhaps Indian firms could bear the cost, but it comes with its own terms. Would Pakistan be okay? Last but not least, Indians might not invest in such a company that has pipelines running through Pakistan. Indians might not buy gas from a company that has pipelines through Pakistan. If you ask me personally, I would rather pay ₹100 extra and buy a more "reliable" gas than from a company that is dependent on pipelines through Pakistan. Overall its very unlikely that pipeline will materialize. Add to that India is likely to switch to renewable/ electric to a large extent in next 10 years i.e. by 2035. Cheers and best wishes!

    • @arvind50
      @arvind50 Před 2 měsíci

      Never say Never esp when it comes to US. There are many possibilities that can come and you are only looking at one possibility. This is the same mistake that many of your generals have done. India does not have the courage to attack, so lets take k@shmir. But then the outcome comes out very different. B@loch is very sparsely populated, contributes very little to the consumption GDP - so separating that out and keeping the pressure on Iran's B@loch province is a VERY good possibility. Pakis have always been playing double game when it comes to their allegiance - earlier it was OK as china was also playing subservient to US but now they are not. So when it comes to picking sides, you cannot be double minded. Imagine the scenario when b@loch are a separate entity, they can be totally under the control of the US unlike Pakis which is compelled to play double game. This will help keep all 4 countries mentioned above under check and provide unlimited access to US, as and when they want. Beware of this possibility.

    India doesn’t need pipeline because India has already signed the nuclear agreement in 2010 for its energy need . So I guess this guy is still living in 90s, and second point why would India give key for its energy security to the hands of Pakistani with whom India fought multiple wars , I guess these people are delusional.
    And third point the trade with Pakistan is Pakistan needs not India need , so India will not give any concessions on this . Coming to point of energy is that India is moving towards solar energy rather than fossil fuel, Indian govt is pushing the policy of having solar rooftop in every home and industry and ev vehicle , so till 2030 India’s 30 40 percent vehicle will be ev . So India doesn’t need pipelines from Pakistan .

    I am sorry, but I did not find his points intelligent. He still thinks that Pakistan holds some kind of special geo location that it can bank on letting OPEC supply oil via pipeline to India.
    1. India will never relay on such supplies where it passes through unstable & sanction prone countries.
    2. India, UAE and KSA can run a pipeline under sea and they are well capable of protecting it, if that's the cheaper way of getting oil into India. The fact that it is getting oil without the pipeline is the cost of logistics still underweighs pipelines.
    3. Even if it takes part in such pipeline projects that passes through Pakistan, it will not add any benefit to Pakistan’s economy. The examples are Estonia and Latvia. The Nord stream pass through the waters of these two countries but they are not richer because of those pipelines. Their economies are much smaller compared to other European countries.
    The only way for any country to achieve economic success is to invest in its people and build a knowledge economy.

      The army controls everything. The army invests in slaves. The politicians come second. The politicins try to install their own goons into every business and department and media house regardless of merit. The capitalists come later, they don't care about anything except making money. Finally there are the molvis, a lot of them still insist that the earth is flat and all of science is contained in a holy book.
      Now that you know this, do you really think that Pakistan is a country that is worthy of your time and attention? This is a failed state that has no future. I am sure you have more important things to do than think and ponder over a failed state.
      Only India can save Pakistan from itself. It did this in 1971 and can do so again.

It would make it easier for viewers to navigate and find the segments they're most interested in. Keep up the great work!
