My absolute favorite version of this song. The addition of the banjo is killer, and Kyp's falsetto is so haunting. God I love this band so much.
Longtime fan of TVOR and this simply is one of the coolest renditions of this song I have ever heard... Brilliant...
Vault-Tecnician my thoughts exactly
One of the greatest bands ever …
This is the best song ever, god damn it.
Protect these men at all costs ❤
This is so fuckn good. Damn. And wow. TVOTR for everybody.
One of the best... just when i thought you couldn't get anymore perfect...
I just simply love this song. Amazing sound, lyrics, and message. Thank you from across the pond.
Wow dude you are absolutely killing those harmonies! It really adds a lot to this arrangement.
Every time I come back to this live version, which I have to say is fairly frequently my mind is blown for a multitude of reasons, firstly because I mean come on this music is so bloody beautiful, the vocals, guitar, banjo and that amazing backing vocal is just astounding. The other reason is because there has been less than a million views in like 4 years?? I guess I can count my self luck to be one of the few (in comparison to other tunes with multi million views)
Thank you for this amazing live version!
Thank you Good Girls Season 3 for bringing me here
My mast ain't so sturdy
My head is at half
I'm searching the clouds for the score
My lady avails herself
Of marked down freedom
Forever cashed out to no more
She put the blam in the blame
Bullets bearing the name
Of each tigress who's left you a tooth
Save the skins for a pelt
And the rest for a belt
That can't open
No nothing
Can't open
No nothing
Young liars
Thank you for taking my hands
Young liars
Oh thank you for taking my hands
Well it's cold and it's quiet
And cobblestone cold in here
Fucking for fear of not wanting to fear again
Lonely is all we are
Lovely so far
But my heart's still a marble
In an empty jelly jar
Someday suppose that my
Curious nervousness
Spills into prescience
Clairvoyant consciousness
I will be calmer than cream
Making maps out of your dreams
But will psychic ability
Clinch the nativity
Or simply diminish that flinch
Ooh young liars
Ooh young liars
I said, thank you for taking my hands
And burying them deep
In the world's wet womb
Where no one can heed their commands
Where no one can heed their commands
Except young liars
Young liars
Voice string trombone
Pull me forward onwards
To the sea
Take my picture
Soon all I will be
Is my disease
Voice string trombone
Pull me forward onwards
To the sea
Take my picture
Soon all I will be
Is my disease
Voice string trombone pull me forward onwards to the sea
Take my picture, soon all I will be is my disease
Voice string trombone pull me forward onwards to the sea
Take my picture, soon all I will be is my disease
replayed the song and read through your lyrics, helped me appreciate the song 100x more, thanks.
Thanks so much for taking the time to text the lyrics to this very visionary song!!!!!!!!
Need to do an acoustic soundtrack. soulfull indeed. I can only imagine listening lakeside, fishing. That or by the night fire on a hunting trip after a long day quietly waiting
Wow! I love this song and this is an amazing version. They are great. TV on the Radio, please make a new album!
"I will be calmer than cream
Making maps out of your dreams" 🥰
Absolutely in love with this, it possessed me, every hair stands up on me when I listen.
Completely baffled by the dislikes. This was great.
nicotine&gravy Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I’m completely baffled at the few views, and even fewer comments. This thing was dope AF
More for us, I guess.
Dope AF
Who would have guessed a banjo would be such a slick addition to this?🤷🏼♂️
So fucking sublime it kills me.
Perfection

Goosebumps.

This was unreal.
Increíble!!!!!
I love this and the trouble..the stripped down versions are just ear candy.
My name is freethink and I approve of this message.
AMAZING rendition!
7-10-18 and just found this by watching the ad "Prune Nourry's 'The Amazon' at The Standard, High Line" F.U youtube lol. Always suggesting stuff I'm not interested in. But when something good comes along I have to accidentally come across it.
Going to sub, don't know what you are about The Standard Hotels, but if the content is as good as this great :)
Welcome to the true underground of music. Many bands were there and sold out to the mainstream of 7th grade intelligence. TV speaks to me.
Jumpin Jesus, that's gorgeous.
Bardic magic at its finest.
Hey no one that could give me the tabs ? Thanks !
G chord, C chord, F chord
@@centaurfitness4049 not sure, he seems to play in open chord or maybe with a different tuning ? Or maybe i am just drunk thanks !
I will be calmer than cream... making maps out of your dreams.
What do you people think this song is about I think it’s great
To me it’s about the age of narcissism the phone age......?

I miss that old TV on the Radio so much and Cookie Mountain changed my life. It was everything I’d ever wanted in a record and then some. They sort’ve became just another indie electro band after that and I still don’t understand why. This video shows they are still out there somewhere and I know they have another masterpiece in them.
Sheesh
Ye
CZcams has silenced me on most of my music. This maybe next. Free thinking is not allowed anymore. I’m not a fascist nor a slave. I support Trump. Smash the Nazi control or individual thought.
Wuuuuuuuurd...REEEEEEESPECT! 🤾♂️ Call that one a slam dunk. 90's Knicks, The Wetlands and these guys. And if those three references don't connect any dots for you, we'll I'm sorry you weren't there. You missed a hell of a good time.
