I loved the reciprocal admiration of each other. Chris for BTS's unique talent; BTS members fanboying over an idol of theirs. You can see in our BTS men how they still do not see themselves as "the biggest band on the planet". They're in awe that a "celebrity" of Chris's magnitude would want to work with them. I also loved seeing Chris sitting on the studio floor as if he had just become 20 again! The other thing too about his "directing" or encouraging BTS members as they sang, well he is a dad of teenagers so maybe that experience helped as well - how to connect with 20's something BTS members.
Imagine the excitement in the BTS members - There was Chris Martin - one of THEIR IDOLS - right in front of them, working with them, wanting to sing with them.
I first saw Coldplay at their debut concert in Toronto, February 2001, in a rave/edm hall with 2000 people. To me, seeing this collaboration speaks to me of how the universe conspired to make this happen. We're students and teachers every single second of our lives and there was a need and a purpose to give life to My Universe. For me, it's not a coincidence that Chris had a melody and name stuck in his head. He was asked to connect with his kindred spirit (BTS) and bring this song to life. I'm happy Chris heard the call and BTS answered it. When kindred spirits finally hear their whale song being answered, they're no longer the loneliest whale. :)

It’s sad that a lot of people don’t give BTS a chance because of stereotypes but we could see clearly that Chris Martin is not that guy. This is such a great collaboration.

isn't it amazing that Coldplay was formed as a band way back 1996 and Jungkook was not even born that time. Coldplay's career is older than JK's age, but here we are witnessing them collab. We are witnessing history in music industry.

You guys mentioned The Beatles when talking about groups that achieved something huge not being from America. It’s more impressive what BTS has accomplished even before a single song in English. Went global singing in Korean, a language spoken in literally 1 small country (both north and south). BTS had a MOUNTAIN to climb while The Beatles had a molehill. I love the Beatles because I had older relatives who introduced me to them but what BTS has accomplished is historic. Never in history has a non-English speaking act been the biggest musical act in the world.

As much as I love BTS we cannot compare the 2 bands, and it would be disrespectful cause they have 2 different stories.
I agree on what you are saying, but Beatles created genres, revolutionized music, revolutionized how people used to dress, their thoughts, they were influencing in a political way... And so much more, in just a few years.
So this is not to say who is Better, cause it's not a comparison, but just suga said they don't want to be compared to beatles even if it's such an honour, they want to be BTS.
So forget about saying what u said, cause beatles are what started modern music... And I think comparing someone with them will be not fair, even because times are changed. We are more than 50 years later now. There are different odds to face now from then.

In 1996 I was 26 when COLDPLAY debuted , I always loved their music and their stands, Chris Martin is one of the most humble person in this world, he is like the great Keannu Reeves. Now I'm 51 BTS is my world. Two different generations but with the same philosophy of life. They're the best genuine, authentic, honest combination together. Goodness =Goodness!!!! 💙💜

I got into Coldplay when I was 15, when A Rush of Blood to the Head came out and been a huge fan ever since. My Universe really blew my mind, it's amazing to see my fave from my youth collab with my fave as a 35yo ♥️

I love both Coldplay and BTS. When I found out they’re doing a song together, I couldn’t contain myself. I was so happy that when I heard the song, I literally cried tears of joy because it was so beautiful. I watched the documentary many times. Queen, U2, Coldplay, the Beatles, all from outside the U.S. and it makes me so proud that BTS has gotten as big as they are based on music and their charisma alone.
As an asian and a non english speaker, BTS really do give me a lot of inspiration. Its even amazing that pop culture always used to me something focused on white people mostly, especially boybands and gere we have 7 ppl from korean who doesnt even speak english fluently, so thats really hopeful for global music as a whole

14:10 I remember this video of BTS when they we're given the diplomat passport by the president, they have solo photo shoot with the South Korean president, after each every member's turn they bow with the president and when it's Jhope's turn the president look at him and Jhope look back while giving the president his two thumbs up! 😊👍👍

Seven Samurai is one of my favorite films! I watch a lot of foreign movies with subtitles because eventho i’m from the US they’re so many cultures that are so fascinating and beautiful. I think this is one of the reasons I even bothered to give BTS a listen. I’m not even into pop music but once i listened to what they were saying in their songs and saw their level of talent and which can only come from 16 hour days of practice I became a fan.
And on top of all that. BTS went globally famous and successful while singing in Korean. They are already a phenomenon even before they sing songs fully in English. That alone is so impressive.
I love this little behind the scenes mini-documentary so much because you can see the clear admiration between the artists collaborating. So often these collabs in music happen because they know they can rake in the cash. It’s so rare to find people in the entertainment industry that are genuine. Im an ARMY that’s been around long enough that I was there when Coldplay first hit the scene with their hit “ Yellow” which i was obsessed with as a kid. (Their 2nd album is my favorite but my closest friends love their later albums which tells you they are not afraid of change just like BTS). Coldplay have always been kind and inclusive and this collab is perfect because both groups have the same message.

And to this@20:05 i wanna add that its because these groups you mentioned toured/lived and their songs were in English, thats the biggest reason why people thought they were American. And in my view point as an ARMY, its even more special that BTS has achieved all this while keeping their own language, and thats Exactly why many ARMYs want them to continue to make music in Korean. Me too. Actually my ultimate 3 biases are RM, Jhope and Yoongi. I gave up and put them as my ultimate three because I’m so tired figuring out who tops from all all of them 3. I love them all 7 rapline is just💜. Whenever I see Hobi everything just lights up and my day is full of sunshine.

First time I heard the "Yellow" Coldplay when I was in middle school, in 2000, since of that Coldplay become one of my fav band. 2015, I became a(n) BTS-Army because their song "Dope". And now, in 2021, they give me the gift with their collabs. So amazing...

Chris was there in April and heard Butter before it was released. You must react to the official MV. It’s the best! Like a futuristic movie. I thought it was sad that RM had to say something about prejudice. It makes you realize that they might kind of expect it from westerners.

I rarely subscribe to a reactor, but you guys definitely worthy of it.
This is a collab that is perfect from both sides. BTS doesn't HAVE to collab with anyone, they're perfect as they are, coldplay aswell, but since bts have so much love and respect for Coldplay and CoPl also respects them and agrees with their messages and beliefs this is a collab that fits like a glove. My personal view of collabs is that is only necessary as long as both parties gets something personal out of it. Both sides should feel like it was amazing and fun and a thing they will have a wonderful memory and experience from not just a collab just because fans wants it done. Bts and Coldplay is a perfect match :-)
Not to forget Halsey by any means.. they really love each other aswell so yay if they ever wants to collab more 😍😊
