I'm going to be getting my flux freak on today by doing a huge cull of my bookshelves. I love and cherish my books, but I know that I'm holding on to so many that I'm just never going to read again. I'll probably end up getting rid of a couple hundred books...and that will still leave me with lots!! Luckily I live in an apartment, so I'm going to put them in the lobby, so that they can find new homes and new people to love them.
This is a big deal for me because I get very emotionally attached to my books. 📖📚❤️📚📖

Terri MacKay hi Terri, I am a retired University instructor. I had so so many books. It took me a year to decide what to do about them but I finally decided I would donate to The Diabetes Association of Canada who in turn took them to Value Village where they would be distributed to various locations. It was difficult to watch them be loaded onto the truck but it was also a good feeling to know someone else would get them at an affordable cost:))

@@ellenmcbride58I live in Hamilton Ontario, and 2 of my sisters used to own a bookstore (Bryan Prince Booksellers), which is how I ended up being able to amass so many books. A few years ago, I did the same thing and ended up with 7 boxes of books that I gave to a co-worker who ran a community library in his neighbourhood.
I don't want people to have to pay for the books, so I was looking for somewhere to donate them, and got suggestions from a few people. The books that aren't taken by people in the building are probably going to go to the Barton Street Jail, which was a suggestion by one of my sisters.
@@bindicat9070 There are books that I will never get rid of...my collections of history, science, art, mathematics, and archaeology books, plus the various fiction series that I've collected over time (like my complete Discworld series). And, of course, there are books that I'll never get rid of for sentimental reasons, like my copy of Harriet the Spy that I first read when I was seven (and was the book that made me fall in love with reading) and my very well worn copy of The Daughter of Time by Josephine Try, which I first read when I was 17, and is still my all time favourite book 40 years later.

Pluto is a part of my daily routine : ) I LOVE starting my day off with laughter!! I was a firefighter, and,
I became an RN - VERY, Very, very challenging, at times ('very' 3 times). So, humor is a terrific way of dealing with the negatives. Close friends will even ask me if there was a new message from Pluto for the day!! Also, also, also, my husband asks how she's doing - HAHH (got him hooked, as well)
It helps that I love fish sticks NOT!

I'm learning to 🏄 all over again....it's going to be such a grand adventure. I'm going to retire next month. The first retirement adventure will be to scout out the waves on the west coast of the BC lands. Step back! , you don't even have on a neck gaiter ( which are fairly useless but it's an attempt)
