- My buddy Shan crashed this Horizon Hobby E-Flite Extra 300 1.3m and didn't want to fix it. All it needed was a little glue, a new motor shaft and a battery hatch cover and it was ready to fly again! SUPER HAPPY with this plane. I think it might be the best plane Horizon Hobby has ever made!!

Depending on application, this plane is for more sport or 3d when learning. Their Timber Evolution is best all around plane for when it comes to varying flight envelopes but not for extreme aerobatic. But if you want the best foam 3d plane for less than the wacky price of E-flite, just go for Flex Innovations Extra 300. The Aura 8 gyro in Flex does a way better job than AS3X. I fly a lot of 3d, and E-flite just has a heavy plane with a heavy battery recommendation at 4s 4000mah for their extra300 at almost 6.5 pounds. Flex just kills it in the foam game for value and performance cause their extra 300 is the same size and it's lighter and floatier and it has a 4s-6s 1500mah setup for a better punch when hovering or extreme 3d. The livery on the E-flite is kinda cool though cause it's simple and clean
I prefer the extremeflight mxs 64“ as my main 3d plane.

were you able to get the CG correctly? mine is too far back and I cannot get this plane to fly good.
I added 100g on the nose but due to grass I removed wheel pants which weighed around 50g. I've only maidens it due to weather but flew well
Definitely one of the best flying E-flite planes. Way better than the Commander V2. Only gripe is it doesn't have telemetry or an Avian ESC for thrust reverse. At 399, it's expensive for not having those features.

if your safe is backward so is your as3x! I would do a full program using forward programming to get your gyro correct.
Forward program doesn’t work. It’s a old AR636a. I plugged it into the spektrum program on the PC and reversed everything .. I have all the AS3X moving in the right directions. But for some reason SAFE acts crazy when I hit the switch lol. No idea why. I’ll get a video of it
@Garage_rc you took the reaciver out of another plane it's probably an orientation thing, I had the same issue ended up getting the programming wire and fixed it on my pc.
