Toyota's GR lineup has become what I always hoped Mazdaspeed would be. Toyota has done an incredible job at bringing enthusiast cars back in multiple formats and I love it.

And this is why I might actually sell my speed 3 for this hopefully itâs reliable I want to see if we can push the motor to 400-500 but not sure thatâs a lot of hp per cylinder
@@mazdaspeedg2380 someone on Yt has pushed a GR Yaris to 400 Hp on stock internals, which is crazy cause the GR Corolla has stronger pistons (at least thatâs what Iâve heard)
I'm really hoping the sales reflect how cool their stuff is and it forces other car companies to put more into performance lineups to compete
I think this thing could be the best sleeper car of this year, definitely excited to see Toyota bring back more sports oriented cars.

If that veloster N was AWD I wouldnât think twice and go with that one , the price is just too good for everything that car has to offer but then again perhaps AWD may make it more expensive
I want my wife to get a GR Corolla so badly. Planning on getting the manual Supra later this year, so it'd be awesome to have 2 GR cars cause she already is in love with AWD cars, like the gen 5 Celica GT-Four

My father in law retired from Toyota, so we get the 1.5% over invoice pricing for all vehicles (as long as not special edition), so we thankfully won't be paying above MSRP after taxes and stuff for the Supra or GR Corolla. For the Supra, at least, after taxes and everything, it'll be right around what recommended MSRP is

@@merricc5218 Yea, GR Supra (including taxes and fees with invoice pricing) is gonna come to 55k-56k. I'm figuring the GR Corolla is gonna be that range, but I think it'll still be under the 2.0 Supra price. So my guess is 35k to 40k range. Invoice for GR Corolla, my guess, is gonna be closer to the 35k pricetag
For people that want one of these: BE PATIENT. Let the hype die down for 2 years and I guarantee youâll be able to get one without paying crazy mark ups or fighting other buyers to get one.
With how popular the GR-4 is going to be, Toyota will probably be producing it for the next 5 years (or at least until the Corolla gets a new generation) and even THEN, in a lot of their advertising theyâre calling this the âfirst GR Corollaâ which alludes to it potentially getting a 2nd generation.
You might miss out on the circuit edition but thereâs going to be a ton of different special models coming out, plus you can basically spec out a base model to be a circuit edition (minus the forged carbon roof, and seats, hood, and spoiler) but also keep in mind, the after market for these things are going to be nuts, so Iâm sure youâll be able to find a âcircuit editionâ inspired hood and spoiler.
Plus, this isnât a guarantee, but maybe other brands will introduce some competitive hot hatches back into their line up to steal some of that GR hype now that they see thereâs a huge market for them.
Donât lose hope! If you want it, go for it! All it takes is a time and a little patience :)

The GR corolla has been my dream car from a kid and I never knew it. I always loved the the sti hatchback but wanted it made by Toyota and AWD. Was checking out the corolla and was highly disappointed by front wheel drive and the hp. Then the next day the GR corolla was announced. Hopefully can get my hands on one one day!

hatch back cars are great. when I was doing roofing I could fit two cans of tar a ladder 8 bundles of shingles, a BMX bike and a partner all stuffed in. However if I owned this I wouldn't treat it like that. This thing is awesome.

I have a good feeling these will be tough to attain. So far The Gr86 has sold 3,200 cars since Late December to March 2022. People are still getting bent over by Toyota Dealers, so Iâd honestly think the GrRollas will be even tougher to get and marked up even more due to limited production but itâs lovely, Iâd love to daily that thing!
Yeap, my local dealer keeps giving me random allocation dates to contact them and any gr86 listed on their website that i ask them about is âsoldâ really having some trust issues with them

Curious if anyone is willing to settle for the âcoreâ after seeing the circuit edition. Itâs circuit edition or no deal for me, and with the crazy demand and ADMs this car will have, I doubt I can get oneđ
Yeah at first I thought the circuit edition was the core but after realizing it isnât I am disappoint
luckily if you get all the packages on the core edition, the only difference between it and the circuit is the few cosmetic things on the circuit. You can still get the LSDs in the performance package.
Personally Iâd go for the core edition with the performance package for the limited slip difs, saves probably around 10k over the circuit edition and mainly cosmetic differences though I suppose the carbon roof of the circuit edition could add rigidity while lowering weight marginally
I'd still go with the core along with performance personally. The few cosmetic things are aight, but not necessary. -Edgar
@@prescriptionjuul3583 But the Circuit Editon comes fully loaded with the Tech and Cold Weather packages. A Core with only the Performance Package could end up being lighter than the CE.

i just got the GR86 last wednesday and mannnn is it so much fun to drive! The GR Corolla will undoubtedly be an amazing hatchback!
I think this car is so hyped and its gonna sell so well because other than the golf which is not looking that good and it good really common car world wide... there is quite a long time that we don't see a really, really hot hatch like this that probably gonna have giant aftermarket support and... probably gonna have one of the best gas mile and fun nowdays specially with this 3 - 4 dollar gas prices in use and all that combined with the good reliability that toyota is know for... I DEFINITELY GONNA BUY ONE OF THEM

I have been daily driving a GR86 for a year and a half now. By the end of this year, begin of the next. I will have a GR Corolla. Either a core with a perf package, or a Circuit. I'm looking into fitment down, but not much is out there. Fortunately, the region I am in has been killing it. The dealership I am working with has a Morizo Edition #153 sitting on the showroom floor. It's not for sale though. I'm optimistic about acquiring a circuit.

@@FitmentIndustries There are no allocations for them yet, just so you guys know! Toyota has not yet begun allocating them, so no dealerships know if/what they will be receiving. Anyone saying they "ordered" one or "has one coming" is being dishonest, or has no idea what they are talking about. Also, I work in sales for Toyota, so this isn't just heresay or some nonsense. Haha.

If it becomes the next Type R I could care less. I focus on what's available, because at least I can drive those cars instead of looking at them through a glass window display. I think it's nice to throw aspirations in the trash sometimes and settle. It gives a peace of mind, greater appreciation for what you have, and sometimes even bigger reward at a lower cost.

I would recommend going down in size on tires. +35 offset would be good, but you'll need to roll and pull your fenders

Regional allocation is why I canceled my âorderâ for a gr86. The salesman couldnât give me a timeframe and being in Northern Maine the chance of allocation was super low lol Ended up tracking down a Brz, which just got delivered last week lol

So only one thing about this that may be incorrect. The NASA membership is NOT guaranteed. My dealer screwed me out of this because they had no idea it was a thing. Apparently it's regional? Either way I was hella disappointed to find out that toyota can't help and the dealer was useless so with my new GR86 I gotta buy my own membership and buy a class if I want to expirement with it on the track. It's a really sorry way to do business by toyota to have it announced that it comes with every GR vehicle and then act like they don't know anything about it or can't fix it.
I got a PS5 on launch day for list so I like my odds.
