How does one give feedback on your merch store if something doesn't look right?

Hey DAD, you don't run the furnace with the doors open, your not payin' to heat the whole neighborhood.
That is a Pittsburgh Dad way of thinking but you need to add in some swear words.
Lots of swear words lol not necessarily Pittsburgh mostly northern dads lol! And now I’ve caught myself saying it to my children!
@@kenwillis8487 Nothing more than Ralphie was spouting in Christmas Story while he was beating up Scut Farkus [SIC]
My dad used to yell about the air conditioning 😎 He was wrong it could’ve helped global cooling
Maybe he doesn't want to collapse from lack of oxygen?
50 years ago we used these in the garage I worked and both shutters were open, but the blowers were facing in.
Until I got older, I didn't realize just when I was young just how physical mechanical work on a car is. I no longer work on my road car but do work on my quad. I noticed how you just hopped up from setting the hoist, I have to plan getting up now lol.
@tradde11 Me too but I'm too stubborn to realize it
When you calmly placed the brake clean down, I lost it. Had to pause and rewind it due to an uncontrollable laughing fit. I appreciate you!!
preceded by the nearly inaudible {...another...} LOL
The customer is not always right, but he is the customer.
That car is SO clean!
If I was doing that, it would be dropping all manner of crap, including rusty flakes into my eyes every time I touched it. And the O2 sensors would never walk out like that, either. They’d fight me for every 12th of a turn, the whole way out!
Ray, I have followed you since the first dealership you worked at.
Now with your own business, you do such great work & so honest withe the customers.
Your show is entertaining & I have learned from you.
Keep it up, you’re the best!
The customer was told it increases performance most likely! When I was a certified technician years ago I swapped perfectly good parts all the time cause the usually young person claimed that the new part would make it faster! And if they believed it enough they even felt the increase in performance that was not measurable lol! Think muffler or hot coil or coil packs! Coil packs were a big snake oil item! Not all but most of the time the replacement part did nothing noticeable!
Actually, I’ve been receiving an error code. I’ve just been clearing it on my handheld device. They needed to be replaced for the last year. I just haven’t got around to doing it myself.
Lovin' the tripod. It's nice to see a mechanic who uses two hands to work on stuff.
I love how Dave is a great player! He plays along well, and It seems like you respect him.
Couple of interesting facts ---
1) The car heater was invented in 1893 by Margaret Wilcox, a mechanical engineer. Her system simply directed air over the engine and this heated air is channelled into the cabin, providing warmth to its occupants.
2) In 1903 Mary Anderson invented the windscreen wiper. It wasn’t an instant hit with car companies, who thought it would distract drivers. She never profited from her invention, even when wipers became a standard on cars.
Ray, I love your 30 minutes plus videos. I ride a stationary bike 30 minutes, 4 times a week and nothing could be more boring. Your videos are not only entertaining and informative, but also very pleasantly distracting. Exercise time flies by while watching your videos. Thanks and keep up the good work please.
I usually use his videos as background for work. Nice way to keep my mind from getting bored.
Make sure you change the oil, rotate the tires and inspect the spark plugs and coolant on that thing.
LOL!!!@@bobbg9041
Red Tailed Hawk sounds. They use it to dub the sounds of the Bald Eagle because someone thought the Bald Eagle sounded too wimpy.
I’ve watched every vid you put out since day one
And I’m still amazed at the lack of rust on older cars down there
Awesome vid thanks for sharing . as always
Cheers from Nova Scotia

Congratulations to the Rainman with his coffee mug store.
Really like the way you teach as you work. A real asset for the DIY person who is just learning.
When I was a C-5 crew chief, a flight engineer said he had some residential (not to be confused with residual) hydraulic fluid leaking from one of the thrust reversers. I told him he should be thankful it was leaking otherwise that hydraulic system would have been completely empty… He was not amused.
Ha! Kind of like "If you're bleeding that means you still have blood and a heartbeat."
Rust belt up here, on my 99 Suburban, I took that drain plug out as it was pretty bad, I put a bolt and a nut just jam it so I wont ever have to fight it again.
I just cut the wire off them rusty O2 sensors and use a large spark plug socket to remove them so you have all 6 sides covered, then use the slit socket for installation. I do this because I have ruined those slit sockets by using them for "tough'" and rusty removals here in MN rusty town. Love your vids, it's really nice to see a family work team type wife so you're really blessed with a great wife and family. Kudos bro.
I was thinking that.
Hi! Good Tuesday morning Ray and the wife unit. And a big Tuesday howdy to the new employees! Roger in Pierre South Dakota
The first maintenance I ever performed on my silverado was the rear diff fluid change after watching Ray do it first. He gave me the knowledge and courage to do it myself. so satisfying. thanks Ray
There you are..usually you drop around 6am my time. 😎 cool. ✌️
I love the attention to detail you have on all the different vehicles you work on and the fun you create while doing it. Another outstanding video!
Ferrari = horse, firebird = phoenix, so then, you’re working on a Pegasus? or perhaps an incendiary horse? A burning bird with hooves? Have a great day Ray.
It's -14 right now working on a Purolator truck outside and the Floridians are running Salamander heaters at 68 degrees! The hells you must go thru to survive 😂
There is something satisfying about watching you work on stuff. Very cool.
another outstanding video ray your the man love watching this stuff but the most important thing is to have yourself a great day ray
I like how you just sat the empty brake clean can down so he would pick yup to use it 😂😅
LOL ... as a 'non' Floridian, I have to chuckle about the heater and the hoodie. :-) 50 degrees here right now would be a 'heat wave' :-)
Thank you for making us these videos. A great way to start the day!
I really enjoy your commentary as you make repairs!! and with all the "stuff" that has to be removed just to do what I would say could be a simple replacement of a part, is crazy nowdays!! I just looked up how to change the battery in my 2019 Ford Escape, I would bet that if the engineer that put it where it is and had to change it, they would have moved it!! Oh, question, how much of the "brake clean" do you really go thru (a month)? Stay safe and warm!!
Excellent video as always. The new camera seemed much better in this video, the white balance is still a touch dodgy with sudden changes in brightness, it occasionally makes your skin look luminous. But for the most part it was decent and I'd say when it's working well the quality is noticeably better than the gopro
Scotchbrite discs are officially Roloc discs and come in different grits signified by color. Blue is a better choice than red as it is less abrasive especially for cleaning softer material from flanges and mating surfaces. In addition the 3m Bristle discs have bristles or fingers that can get into recesses to clean and remove material. Once again these are coded by color for abrasiveness.
The Pontiac crest on the fender is hilarious! It reminds me of adding "CLI" before Taurus.
I always did in my mind......
"Get your brand new Taurus at Pinkley's Auto dealership!
Nothing's finer than a Pinkley Taurus"
I like to have a hot Dicken's Cider while riding in the Pinkley Taurus.
Some differentials that have problems removing the fill/check plug have a replacement cover available with a plug in it.
No matter how many times you have the sound effects with the spray cleaner I laugh my a.. off. You make my day Ray
I like that you're honest and do a great job. Really enjoy watching your videos.
28:23 - Anyone else suddenly start smelling sulfur as soon as that waterfall of Gear Oil started pouring out? Strange how you can visualize something and instantly smell it even though you're not there.
And another nice job. So maybe a parts cleaning thing would be nice, it comes with a light and some cool stuff would be nice . Last maybe a good old sand blaster thing would also be ok. I know u are not up north so the blaster is overkill but think of all the home stuff u can do. Just some ideas. U would save some cash on all the brake cleaners u go through. Anyways have a wonderful Christmas .
Ray, video on the new camera setup is the best it's been, IMO. The audio may need slight tweaking, though, as it's a bit "bright" (loudness/treble?). Otherwise, I agree with another poster, good to see use of two hands. Entertaining informative video as always! 🙂
Reduce treble, add base…
When there’s time, describe your new video system, Chief.
I have an 02 3.8 Bird so interesting video. Having dealt with GM products my whole life and now my wife has a 2015 sienna. The quality and attention to detail between Toyota and an GM is astounding. 156K and no seeps, drips or grime. Underneath looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. The O2 sensor cables are not attached with the Christmas tree fasteners but rather, metal standoffs. Its things like this that make me understand why everyone loves Toyotas.
Best v6 motor ever made
Ray single-handedly keeps the brake clean industry in business.
Unless you're planning to save those old sensors just cut the wires and use a regular wrench to remove. Just use the sensor socket for installs.
If you're removing sensors that have returned error codes, that plan makes sense.
In this specific case, Ray 'might' have found sensors in brand-spanking-new condition. Not that those were even close.
SO RAY you can use both hands😮 I thought you could only use your left hand!😅😅 WOW THAT HEATER IS LIKE THE TURBINE ON THE BATMOBILE 😅
Preventative maintenance is always a good thing folks!
Can't believe your running heat. I'd still be in shorts with the fan on !
That brake clean can little "another" and setting it down was pure gold.
Your ability to troubleshoot and recommend fixes is amazing. I wish I had you nearby with an issue I have on a newer vehicle, because the dealer is crap.
When Ray fired up the heater it reminded me of the back end of the 60's Batmobile
I would have taped the bolt into the bracket for the diff so that I would not forget.
Nicely done Ray!
Even thought we may not be able to see everything, no harm as your commentary well makes up for what we can't see. Keep up the great videos.
The reason for the zip tie is so you can turn the sensor without twisting the wires then cut the zip tie and tighten it.
Awesome video Ray thank you
You're dressed like it's winter down there.
Nice job ray! Cant wait for pt3
Cold. Hahaha. I bet Eric O. is laughing 😂
Hey Mr Ray we been missing some x files action child walking around the shop 😂
Did you notice the oil drips coming from the trans to engine housing? The 3800 series 2 always has a rear main seal leak. Just did a 05 Monte Carlo SS with a Suoer Charged 3.8 told the customer about it leaking he didn't want it done right now he got half way home and the seal blew out on him.
Did it receive a little help from you before it blew out??? 🤔🫢😉
@@DeeGee-mv6eq nope he already knew it was leaking, I was more made because I just put 5 qts of new oil in it.
Dave is getting all extroverted. i think today is the most we've ever seen of him.
I once saw in a company book, "We know the customer isn't always right, but we allow them to be wrong with dignity."
Good video Ray!
That tube squeezer is awesome! I just put it on my Amazon shopping list.
I like the no plan plan.
I question leaving the tube in that jug of gear lube. With the tube in that jug, it's possible for contamants to get into the gear lube. Seems it'd be better to remove the tube and put the cap back on that jug.
Using that machines looks to be much easier and quicker refilling that differential.
Ray tarryl fixesitall would be proud of using the tube squeezer.
When I saw the red strut brace, this guy wants performance out of his car. Probably changing O2s is part of performance. That's at least what all of the members of the forum say!
Nice !
Looking good.
great video
I have a Fiero!
We actually have 5 of them in total, one per family member and a spare.
A couple of them are down awaiting maintenance and repair.
When I was younger I had a master mechanic yell at me for doing everything right handed............ I am a leftie, lol I still do all mechanical right handed. Feels natural
The smell of gear oil gets a bad rap. My neighbor used to let me help him work on his Kenworth’s and changing diff oil was done constantly. That smell reminds me of great times working on a KW.
I'm still waiting for 'Everything is a hammer' on a t-shirt or something.
Great 🔧 ray
Yup them damn plugs rust out beyond removability up here. I had a garbage bag in the road wrap around my shaft which took out the seal. As a driveway "hack", I drilled a hole just big enough to fit the nozzle that the gear oil came in & capped it with a self tapping screw wrapped with teflon tape. Of course I couldn't be sure to not get any shavings in there but, I think magnetizing the bit 1st might have helped. Plus the case seemed to be a rather soft metal. Anyway, 5+ years & zero issues. & it was free, fast & easy.
The 3m roloc bristle discs are also a very good for cleaning surfaces
I love the color. Wish I could find a manual, hardtop version for cheap and in good shape. Wouldn't care what engine, it's probably not going to be left stock anyway.
😮whoa that diff fluid looked like varnish🎉🎉🎉
Ray: Wearing jacket.
Aaron: Wearing short sleeve shirt.
They're Scotch Bright. Scotch locks are and electrical connection. Keep up the good work!!
Yay....finally some brake clean sounds!! lol
Good day ray
Ray , why the winter clothes ? The Heater ? It doesn't get cold in Bradenton Florida ! Yes indeed it does ! I was there in January 2017. It was very cold ! Live is Sarasota for many years and i don't recall it ever got that cold. Didn't even own long pants.
Perhaps tiny Wife Unit is cold?
Welcoming back!
Literally kneeling on the ground and still overcome by flashlight gravitas. 😅😂
I like the reference to Niagara falls! I'm 10 minutes from there.
Jackassholes
Turn the cap lock over on the transmission fill tube
I wish you were near me.. I've been fighting an issue on my crown vic for over a year.. and three different shops have fired the parts cannon at it..
It honestly might be worth a road trip to get a diagnosis 😊
All bundled up. Did the temperature drop to 70 degrees? 😁
Safety is paramount. Those lift locks are there for a reason.
Round scotch bright discs are called Rolocs
Expecting Snow?
That is a pretty clean fire chicken
Good
What you said about the hole in the differential plug might be so rusted out you couldnt remove it thats when you break out your welder and weld a bolt into the hole then back the plug out and put a new plug back in. Been there done that
Rotoloc Scotchbrght pads. Used the 3 inch varant all the time to "grind" aluminum welds all the time. for a soft pad they are super aggressive on aluminum
Diff service $160. Shop supplies $300. LOL I feel like someone got gifted a case of brake cleaner for an early christmas.
Coat and hat--must be like 57 degrees in Florida.
Diff covers with a fill plug do exist, but you would need to plan ahead if you know the fill plug is rusted stuck.
Wow jacket and hat with heater going, it must have dropped below 70 there in Florida…. 😮😊
Well I hate to admit it, but I never change my dif fluid. I check the level, that's it. Nice video.
