    I was wrong on the level of Thors Hammer. It's a 25.22.5.6.2.2.3 = 65 Steps. So definitely less complex as the Excaliburr. 🤗

    I find it fascinating how somebody can come up with the kind of engineering pieces to fit together in only one way with that many steps to come to a design end....and to make it out of wood on top of that..wow.

    • @Dargonhuman
      @Dargonhuman Před 5 lety +1

      Guaranteed they use some kind of 3D modeling software like CAD to design it first.

    • @omikronweapon
      @omikronweapon Před 5 lety +1

      why guaranteed? Burr puzzles have existed long before CAD.
      I'm actually wondering more about the proces of thinking up the sequence itself. Where would you start? Just making random pieces that fit and then try to solve it, redesigning pieces along the way? It seems a paradox between making pieces fit and thinking up moves.

    I find these types of interlocking wooden puzzles to be the most interesting, because part of the pleasure of solving the puzzle is obviously in the craftsmanship and quality, which is really like a work of art. Seems like most of these are in a limited edition, as they are not always so easy to locate.

Where each side is a different game and to solve it, ud have to pull out the piece that needs to be unblocked. Also some each side is blocking the other side next to it so unless u can solve all sides, u cant get them to come apart. If i was a craftsman and could think of the mechanics to get my idea to work, id make one. Thats if it hasnt already been made.
