#Palladium #Platinum #PreciousMetals
I did not know that information about either of those metals, nor would I have ever known that info if not for this video. Looking forward to a Rhodium video. Thank you
Happy it helped! Thank you for being here! 🙏
Its fascinating. I worked with titanium. Its so hard.
Good discussion !
A quick look @ the Atomic Tables lists elements from light to heavier.
After 2008 when Platinum peaked @ $2k oz, it traded places with Palladium @ $325 oz +/-
The bitcoin videos are good, but I love the precious metals videos. I'm not a bitcoin bug (yet).
Thank you 🙏 will be doing a lot of metals videos in the near future 🦾😎
In a world where truth is paramount, platinum would be $5,000 an ounce. They lost control of Rhodium and palladium, platinum and silver is next.
Never silver haha
Platinum eagle is $100 face value!
Thank you for pointing that out, got too used to 20 Saints/Libs 😅 You are correct Platinum Eagle is in fact $100 FV 😎
Lol I bought so much gold and silver the supplier made me a wholesale client 🤣
Nice 👍
Epic
Just picked up a 10 oz Platinum Bar....Love your channel keep making videos
Nice 😎 Thank you! 🙏
Thank you Rob, I loved this video! I learned so much that I didn’t know, it’s packed with info, going to have to listen multiple times and make some notes. Great work!
Thank you for the support!! 🙏🙏
They’re also working on a Highly Efficient Aluminum Battery
That’s also more Stable and Safe than rare and Volatile Lithium.
Thanks Rob,this is really informative,no one compare the details for these two metals like you as I ever seen.😊Really good job
Mate what a great video. Honestly I watch quite a bit of your stuff but don’t comment too often. Instead of just hitting the like button I wanted to let you know I found this highly informative and have shared it with a few pals too.
Great work 🤜🏼🪙
Great video !
Finally somebody talking about the elephant in the room !
👍
Thank you for the support William! 🦾😎
It’s about damn time you released this video lol. I’ve been thinking about palladium but wasn’t sure if it was a good investment or not. Btw if you can do more videos on precious metals that would be fantastic. I always look forward to your videos. I’ve learned more from you then I ever did in school. Thank you teacher Soltan 😎👍
Platinum makes silver feel like aluminum when you hold both at the same time.
I love your content buddy keep up the good work. This video was great.
Great video. Thanks for the info!
Great video bro!! Very informative thanks
Thank you for the information on Platinum, which is very hard to find on any precious metals videos.
Very educational video. Thank you. Learned a lot.
🙏
Yes finally a PM video!!
This is some really interesting information. One request if you would please. In your next video, can you show the size and width of different types of metals like you did with the platinum, palladium & Silver? Really found this video helpful. Would be neat to see the varies metals such as 10 oz Silver, Gold, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Copper, Titanium, Aluminum, Iron, Brass, Zinc, Nickel or any others you may have. If I found this interesting I'm sure others would too.

When I wear my platnium necklace, for whatever reason analog clocks lose 3 minutes of time. My work truck and personal truck are both 3 minutes behind.
On my ZSpray, that clock is also 3 minutes behind...
There's more to platnium if you ask me.
40+ minute videos are what I want to watch. I'm always interested to hear an in depth dive into what other people think.
A very informative presentation. Thank you 😊
Thank you for explaining the questions I had. Could not find this info anywhere.
Awesome video! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing Rob 👍
Man I love this channel!
❤️🙏🙌
I learned a lot watching this video. Thank you.
Great research and information Rob.
I hope this is alright with you sir: To show support for your work, I thought I'd add a couple more details to the great info you've discussed here.
Rob, I'd like to clarify that the 1 oz American Palladium Eagle Coin denomination is $25, as you stated. The 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin denomination is $50, & the 1 oz American Platinum Eagle Coin denomination is $100.
Palladium (Pd) vs Platinum (Pt)
Melting Point:
Pd: 1,554.9 Deg. C (2,830.82 Deg. F)
Pt: 1,772.0 Deg. C (3,221.60 Deg. F)
Density at Room Temperature
Pd: 12.02 g/cubic cm
Pt: 21.45 g/cubic cm
Density Ratio at Room Temperature:
Pd:Pt: 0.56037296:1
Pt:Pd: 1.78452579:1
Speed of Sound:
Sound travels about 9.642857% faster through Pd , as compared to Pt.
Pd: 3,070 m/s
Pt: 2,800 m/s
I like Silver & Platinum too, Rob...I did Smash the Like too.
Palladium is a better material for most applications except for a little higher temp application.
Very informative density of platinum amazing. The points you made about tungsten and gold density and how platinum is easy to confirm authenticity
I am here for this!
🙌
I was looking at the psychology of PGMs but it’s also interesting to hear about the physical attributes
Love it when you show off the metal!!
🦾😎 Thank you for the support!
Nice segment! Cheers🥃
Fact: It takes TWICE as much Palladium then Platinum to get the same reaction.
Fact: Platinum is required to produce Hydrogen Fuel Cells. And will go to the Moon 🌙!
I got 13 oz of palladium last year when it was around 1,950 a oz and 5 oz of platinum for 950
Where did you get that
@@Raeeban Jm Bullion, they got their own app
I need some platinum silver and gold are the only ones I been focusing and some digital asset dope video man
🦾😎 Thanks for being here John!
Isn't palladiums use in catalytic converters likely because platinum has historically been 4x more expensive? Now that platinum is 1/3 the price of palladium you better believe they will start switching back to platinum. It takes time for manufacturing facilities to retool and start using platinum again. They can't immediately switch out one for the other
Love your ranting and rambling it's the best
This was a fantastic video Rob! Thanks for all the research you put into these videos, I also believe that platinum is undervalued. At one time it was worth more than gold.Right now I am invested two thirds into silver and one third into platinum because silver is also undervalued and has so many uses.
Thank you for the support Mark! Happy it helped! 🦾😎
Silver is WAY underpriced
@@user-qo3yy9nv1u All the metals are.
Love hearing you speak son and don't ever apologize or say your rambling on,
don't you realize the information you are giving is very important ? From your friend Bill 👍 Wish you were my son , and do you know what is more important and precious metals ? I'll say it and that is you and I don't care who hears. God bless you in Christ I pray with all my heart.
I love Iridium Spark Plugs - they Burn Cleaner
and They Last up to 70k miles
Next try ruthinium
@@user-qo3yy9nv1u 👍 Thanks ! I definitely will !!
Just getting a licensed mechanic to install an Iridium spark plug is difficult enough. Lol, they scratch their heads in ignorance. I Appreciate this Upgrade, Ruthinium plugs appear to Outperform and Outlast Iridium plugs. Thanks again.
@@davemi00 they shouldn't be. Im a diesel mechanic and I've used iridium plugs for years in my gas car. Iridium throws people off on their cost but I've gotten over 100k miles out of my last set in my car. I've noticed better milage with ruthinium though. To me I'd rather pay more for good plugs and my car just work. Being a mechanic I hate working on my own car so anything to increase service life im doing it.
Hi @Rob, thanks for the showdown on the 2 metals. I tried to find palladium bullion items on quite a few bullion websites, all of them indicate their palladium items as sold out. Do you know of any reputable bullion websites that still have palladium bullion in stock?
Palladium 🇷🇺
Platinum 🇿🇦
Any questions?
I can't help but to think that the spot price of platinum is manipulated. If you try to buy some on ebay, you'll notice how little there is available there and how much over spot they're listed for. Not sure why palladium would be so much higher than platinum!
Great point on the melting point of these metals. I pour silver and that lower temperature is still high enough to be quite dangerous. I'm not sure I'd want to mess with molten platinum OR palladium without some expensive equipment.
🦾😎 I agree. Would be interested in the type of equipment needed for the higher temp PMs will research that as well, thank you for bringing that up 🙏
@@RobSoltan The max on my melter is copper, which is a 1983 F melting point. Beyond that I would need a much higher quality melter, and a better place for pouring than my garage floor. Incidentally, the rule with molten metals is: If it isn't too hot to touch, consider it WET. ANY moisture in contact with molten metals is a steam explosion and burns/fire. Dangerous hobby. Peace. :)
The density is not exactly the same, gold is 19.3 and tungsten is 19.25, but if you round it up to one decimal they are the same.
I was able to get 20 oz of PT last April when it was bouncing around $600/toz. With the premium, I paid about $825/toz. At the very least, it was two oz of PT to buy one oz of AU last year. If it just goes to parity with AU, I would be happy, but if it goes near its historical value of two oz AU for one oz of PT, then I will be extremely pleased.
Isn't platinum used mainly for diesel engines while palladium is used for gasoline engines?
Ramble on, sir. I’m listening 🤙
i haven't really seen a platinum to housing ratio video anywhere, what do you think an average house would be in platinum oz?(in a favorable platinum environment?)
Hi Mr! 😊
Do you think the rise of palladium in the coming months? Another question please. Do you think investing in palladium is a good thing, especially after it has come down now?
Thank you
1 oz Gold eagle is $50. 1 oz Pati umbrella eagle is $100. I agree with your perspective on silver and platinum.
Gotta love Pati umbrella
With the rise of electric cars, palladium will be a terrible investment
do not forget Ruthenium. We used that as a catalyst to decompose Hydrazine and make lots of high pressure gas
The reason gold makes a better currency is because platinum is tied to the industrial economy. While I agree with a lot of what you say, I don’t think it’s a good time to bet on platinum…
earned my subscribe!
4:53 so im not sure on that point of yours with palladium being used because it's twice as dense and you get twice as much of it but palladium is three times the cost of platinum so hypothetically you would actually have three times the amount just by using Platinum instead of palladium.
Great video
what do you think about Major Precious Metals? the biggest unexplored palladium deposit outside south africa and russia
how much is the weight to make a mens ring for Palladium, i keep searching for answer and i could'nt find one in youtube
Sorry if I missed you mentioning in the video, but do you stack Rhodium at all?
Do you see Platinum and Palladium as cyclical in their in their industrial uses? To me, being that both can be used interchangeably in some industries, it seems that there will come a point where the palladium becomes too expensive, and then they will move back into platinum. I see their prices, essentially flip flopping over time. Your thoughts?
Palladium is slightly more conductive, easier to melt, and lighter and yet does everything platinum can do. That makes it more attractive to industry. I think this guy is a little bias to platinum in his description of the 2 metals.
Does Platinum black or dull color like Silver?
THANKS THANKS !!!❤
Big rush on for Palladium because of recent secret Cold Fusion breakthrough..... NOT!
What is the weight of those Platinum bars in this video?
Plantnium is all over Africa my friend not just south africa,South Africa may have alot but most other countries have also
Platinums durability also adds to it appeal for circulating coin.
Which one is softer
Interesting to invest into pl palladium
were we can sale the P-P-2288 we deg it and it scale 72 kilos.platinum palladium that what it mean of the letter P-P- sign indicate on it.
6:39 Rhenium has a density of 21.04 g/cm^3 and platinum is about 21.3, so Rhenium could be used to counterfeit platinum potentially
What I like about platinum as money is if it's used in coinage, you'd hardly need the reeded edges. Good luck shaving some off the coin lol.
EDIT: It's worth saying that bitcoin is still a harder, better money than even platinum IMO.
You can make a cheap alloy with the density of platinum using tungsten, tantalum, and lead
face value of 1oz eagles: silver (1) gold (50) platinum (100) ... the government agrees with you
gdmorning sir,my metal item are two classes of metal, platinum metal, and palladium,217 kilos each, the sign or Pd,106,4-46
217 kilos?
Just because Palladium takes up more space it doesn't necessarily mean you can use only half the metal for a catalytic converter. Also maybe the process to apply palladium or platinum could be half or twice as much also being a factor in which to use? Maybe one has a longer life than the other so it can be used in more hi-rel motors than the other. metallurgist
Electrolysis Plating/Coating.
When you have double the content with which to do the pleading process actually your cost per plating episode is drastically reduced...
Worth my time
the most surprising thing was the Number of Ads
The concern with physical platinum is illiquidity especially if the price explodes.
But I thought platinum was a byproduct of mining silver? The name comes from Spanish “platina” or “little silver” if I’m not mistaken, so does anyone intentionally mine for platinum?
It can be both mined direct and as a byproduct I believe 👍
For the money been recently buying more Platinum than other precious metals.
What verifier do you use Rob?
Have an XRF, 2 Sigmas and a Kee tester. XRF is expensive but the others are affordable and do a good job 👍
@@RobSoltan I’ve been looking at the Sigma ones. The Pro version has a pretty big jump in price and abilities. $1100 for the base model is a pretty good deal, but I’m one of those people that wants to get the loaded package LOL. I just have to work up the balls to drop $2300 on the pro model with the extra wands
Having a good relationship with a local shop/jeweler that doesn’t scratch test can be helpful while saving. Believe the Kee is fair priced, wouldn’t be my first choice but it is helpful and gets job done. Hope it helps 🙏
maybe palladium is easier in the industrial process to work with?
IMO I like the idea of platinum being a unique density but I think bitcoin serves as better money than all precious metals. And with palladium being harder than platinum, that explains the price difference.
So when is that telegram coming out? :D
I don't know what you do for a job but i wish I had the money to buy such things XD 10oz bar of palladium dang!
Rhodium is worth 12,000.00 an ounce. You should buy into that!
Which is way down from the almost 30k that it was.
Thank you for your financial advice for I believe Platinum will go up sky high more than Palladium shortly for in 2013 when I predicted that Palladium would go up first when it was 600 for I heard a fellow over seas either on a pod cast or maybe in mine minds eye I don't remember for he said angrily after hearing what was to come do to the money situation and I believe he was from either Russia or close country near by at a council meeting with other leaders over sea's that the whole currency problem was a Ponzi scheme , anyway Platinum is going up higher then gold, then silver in agreement with the West with a click of a mouse . CHEERS
Not necessarily derivative, more like by-product.
Platinum is the “Poor Man’s” Gold… if anything it’s the real gold. And, I love Palladium because mUh R u S s I a
can you eat platinum
is platinum soft as gold
is platinum as abundant as gold
If you stop rambling and going off topic then I will probably stop listening. Long form is the good form.
With electronic, if other metals go up then others take the place. Gold is a great electronic metal so will always be able to be industrial if for some odd reason other metals take over...
That means a lot to me. Thank you for being here and for the support Carl 🙏🙌
I see platinum as the cheapest of the precious metals at the moment.
I don’t even have to look at historical spot .. have you never looked at silver?
It’s never been close to gold, platinum, or palladium. I would say that makes it the cheapest precious metal.
The reason for auto manufacturers is…. Weight….
Gas mileage…..
Platinum is only a $6.5 b market cap

Thank you for answering such an important question.
I’ve been in PMs since before you were born & I never knew this information.
It always struck me as odd why palladium was so sought after & used more than platinum.
Now touch on the global warming doing away with direct emission (as opposed to indirect emissions) “fossil fuel” gasoline & diesel powered vehicles along with also the reduction in population according to agenda 2030, the Great Klaus Auschwitz Schwab Re-set, the Georgia Guide Stones & it’s effect on precious metals.....Oh wait I’ve said way too much haven’t I.....
The best silver in the world
