    Thanks you for the demo. Your safety and safety of the team first.

    We are a group of health professionals and translators volunteering in translating COVID-19-related texts. We would be happy to add Hungarian subtitles to it. To be able to do this, you should enable community collaborations. This would allow other languages to be added as well. (I also sent this request to LCC's e-mail address and through their web form.)

    Excellent guys - have hospitals thought about having at least ONE person always fully gowned and "ready to go" for a 2222 call so you can get Compressions started early?

    • @stu1002
      @stu1002 Před 4 lety +7

      It need not even be a clinician - any member of staff with BLS training - on a 4 hour shift rota to be gowned holding a 2222 bleep to get in there and be "Designated chest compressor" until the rest of the team is gowned..

      The person can be fully owned but not on face mask yet until his/her bleep go off. Because it is not easy to put on the mask doing nothing

      The advice is to only use PPE when needed because one 1) you’re wasting PPE if nothing happens and 2) you could he cross-contaminating. Good thought tho!

    The service I work for say chest compressions are not classed as AGP as advised by PHE. My colleagues and are are very worried and concerned about this. Level 3 PPE WAS for AGP, confirmed or suspected Covid-19 patients. Now the advice is AGP ONLY! This seems very wrong.

    Well presented and l hope in a real scenario it will be as organised aas it appears there is a bit of slowness in it, and it could be that too much rushness does not work.

    May I ask, if the Covid-19 patient suffers cardiac arrest during Prone Position Ventilation, will you attempt to commence Prone CPR? Can you upload Prone CPR - Code Blue Simulation videos on how to manage cardiac arrest on a Prone Patient?

    • @antoniodemarvao8441
      @antoniodemarvao8441 Před 4 lety +1

      yes, CPR should be started in the prone position. Based on limited evidence, a two-handed technique for chest compressions over the mid-thoracic spine located between the two scapula should be used. The pillows should be removed for this. Pads should be applied bi-axillary position (although a postero-lateral positioning - one in the left
      mid-axillary line, the other over the right scapula - might also be chosen). The efficacy of CPR should be judged using the end tidal CO2 and arterial pressure and waveform, with the patient being turned supine if chest compressions
      are judged to be ineffective and there is enough staff to do so safely.

      It's a simulation.... training only.. pretty important really. They can dance when they get the patient back in reality, unless you think saving lives is not valuable.
