My 43 year old daughter would love a Treasure jar for a gift. The last time I stayed with her in Florida she showed me her big jewelry box of tiny things. I was amazed by what she had saved, a tiny doll from my childhood and one from my Mothers. She had a picture of her and I when she was three and she had the necklace she was wearing that I had made, one of her tiny gloves and the ring I had on in the picture.

These jars are so beautiful that I don't think I'd use any of the stuff inside of them. I'd just have them sitting on display so I could enjoy looking at them because they make me happy.

@@christinecrow1410- I find A LOT on Facebook Marketplace (buying or trading), Goodwill, Value Village, Big Lots, or eBay. You can also make your own things like buttons (I bought the molds for a dollar or two on Amazon and Temu) out of air dry clay, polymer clay, resin, or even toilet paper mixed with Mod Podge! I really hope this helps, but happy to offer more if I can!

What a great video. As a child, my grandma when she thought I was bored, would hand me a skeleton key which opened the door to an antique pipe table where she kept a large glass jar full of a variety of treasures and interesting things to ponder over. After which I would safely lock back up, untill the next time. This provided me with hours of wonder, fascination, and fun. And, is one of my favorite childhood memories.
Thank you Natasha, for your lovely videos and many, great ideas. You are so entertaining and, I add you have a very soothing voice. May your Christmas be very Blessed

IDEA: School Jar. My granddaughter just went off to college and I was thinking of two versions for her. Version 1. Snack Jar for her dorm with special little cereal bars, gum, hot cocoa, candy bars, etc and, Version 2 School Supplies - this could be for any age and would vary based on that, but it might include: highlighter pens, pens, pencils, class schedule mini journal, book marks, small calculator, mini stapler, sticky notes or sticky tabs, etc.

You've prompted my creativity this morning to create a memory bottle for each sister and niece as a way to share my sweet Mama's buttons and sewing bits. May I say this is the perfect meaningful last-minute Christmas gift with a bonus: zero cost!
Thank you so very much for your generous gift of love and light! I hope and pray you and your sweet family have the Merriest Christmas 🎄 🎅 🧑‍🎄

Well, you have, all the way from Down Undah to Motor City, Michigan❣️It's a long, sad story you've allowed me to experience out, and while it isn't completely written, you've provided me the final line....and then, Bob's your uncle❣️😉 Thank you, thank you, oh thank you 😊 so very, very much❣️💫

Oooh just had an idea...... Jar of hearts...... Perfect especially if you have little /no budget. My daughter was listening to the song earlier.
Basically write all the things you like /love about them, and/or happy memories.
You could be as basic or as artistic as you like with the hearts sewn fabric heart pockets with notes inside, so you could carry them in your bag /pocket as a reminder. Make them all different, showing all your skills, or beautiful handwritten notes on patterned paper. Or to look like the love hearts sweets. So many ways to show you care.
Especially for someone who suffers with low self esteem, depression etc.
You can keeping adding to the jars throughout their lives, Xmas, birthdays, special occasions etc 💜😊

There are so many things you can do with this idea. I mean I can see this being something special to make with a child or even give to a child, like say your child is like me when I was a kid, loved anything magical and anything to do with fairies, you can fill the jar with beautiful little trinkets, and fill one of those tiny jars with the cork lid with glitter and make fairy dust to put in there, a little scroll that you can write a little poem on or a little note from the fairy and even put in little elvelopes and pieces of paper in their, so the child can write letters to the fairy.
I'm someone who loves drying flowers and I'm learning how to press flowers too, and so I would make a jar with little things I found in nature and put in dried flowers and pressed flowers. I'd decorate the lid with some natural fabric and twine and maybe have a little flower charm or stick a small pinecone on there.
This is just a fabulous idea with so many possibilities

That was a beautiful video. Even if you demonstrate something I already know or am not needing to make, the videos themselves are always a treat for the eyes.
Oh my those buttons are gorgeous. I'd be happy to just look at the jar! I'm happy to give you my home address if that button jar, in fact all fours jars, are taking up space in your craft room and you're desperate to get rid of them! I don't want to think of you all cramped up in there so I'd be more than willing to help you out with that Natasa! 😁
I know, I know, I'm far too kind for my own good. But, hey, what can you do? I'm willing to offer my help is all I'm saying. You don't have to struggle with your overflowing stash all by yourself ok. I'm here for *-JARS-* YOU. 😜
When you were showing the tall jar, and suggesting art supplies, i was yelling PAINTBRUSHES but I guess you didn't hear me. 😂
I am not a fan of cats either, they freak me out. I love dogs but I'm very upset you did all that pooch teasing and then didn't pick up Banjo for us to melt over. I'm gonna need a lie down and soft snuggle fleece now to soothe my sadness. 😭 - ❤ - 🐕 🐾🐾🐾
I thought of one last jar idea at the end that you didn't think of!
ORGANISING!!! These would be a fun mass make beautiful project, for sorting out our mixed up boxes of loose "stuff". Instead of throwing out jars we could save them up, jazz them up, and admire our beautifully displayed and sorted out craft bits and bobs! Think how pretty these would look on a shelf in our craft storage, organised embellishments, beads and buttons....😃
Oh shit though, I just thought, my buttons are pretty boring, if only I had some gorgeous gold ones to make them look more appealing! Hmmm, now who do I know of who has any....? 🤔
🤣 Lol! Gorgeous video again. I don't know how your brain holds so many ideas!
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas, and a blessed 2024!!! 😘 xxxxx

      @@londongael414 Dear Miss Londongael,
Thank you for your letter and applying for a position. I'm so glad my work ethic has inspired another act of selfless generosity. If we bandied together and spread our message, I truly think we could change the world!
So with that being said, I gratefully accept your willingness to devote your precious spare time to this. I'm very proud of my project, which I have named *Humbling Humanity*
I'm excited to welcome you aboard, so we can put our two heads together, thinking up even bigger campaigns for the future, to help even more people. Our reach could be vast!
I suggest we launch our mission, with a strong awareness campaign to start with. More people need to hear our message. The public do not have the literature and statistics, and I really think we should address that first.
Once the general public are educated, and aware of the crippling suffering within their own communities, I'm sure many more will want to step up and get this mission truly flying off the ground.
We also need to overcome the stigma associated with this condition, as so many of the afflicted are suffering in silence. They need to feel they can reach out for our assistance, without fear of public shame for their craft hoarding syndrome.
It is an official illness, and needs to be regarded as such. Not as something the sufferers brought on themselves. It can affect anyone at any age, and it is my intention to welcome them to a non judgemental environment at Humbling Humanity. In our facility, we are all family.
A safe space, where they will find reassurance, initial assessment, retraining, ongoing support and true friendship in a community that allows no shaming or blaming! A place they can continue to visit even after rehabilitation, to meet with friends in the community cafe area.
I've emailed you details and location of our initial meeting. I look forward to meeting you in person, and hope you'll bring lots of ideas along with you.
      Yours sincerely,
      T. E. Allaway

Now I know what to do with all the special little bits my mother collected over the years. She passed 2 yrs ago. So now I can make memory jars for the family with a bit of her favorite scents on cotton. Open the jar and there is a memory of Nan.
    Thank you so very much!❤❤❤❤❤
I also have small wooden boxes ready to be filled. Now I know what to do. Kits!!! YAY!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FANILY!!

Ooo at 22:25 the pin things with the little loop at the top look very much like the pins used during the era of the 18th century to close a bodice. I do living histories of that era and use said pins. They go thru the outer bodice in to the corsette/stays to keep the garment closed. There is a 'receipt' from George Washington's estate that in one year he purchased 9,000 of those pins for the women folk in his home. My grandmother's great aunt Ella used these pins of old and I am the recipient of them and until I started the 1700's dressing had no clue what they were for. I was ecstatic to have originals! They are burnished brass. Called bodice pins

If you cover the top part of the lid with masking tape first it will make a stronger hold when you glue your fabric\cardboard to it. Love your jars! Easy to follow instruction, thank you!

Gorgeous as always Natasha! Ooooooo…. mason jars and supplies two things I LOVE! If someone gave me a jar I’d be thrilled. I want a sewing jar for myself and want to make one for a friend.
I needed to transfer my embroidery threads to pegs. Filling jars would be great with them. Also u can make Christmasy ones for crafting. I love the pin cushion poof on top and YES you just made a chef hat and for a chef baking… excellent idea!

I love the story about your nephew and his candy jar. I have two senior citizens I've adopted for Christmas who both requested candy. In talking with the nursing home's director, I asked about money and neither lady has much spending money each month. I planned to gift both $20 each so I am LOVING that jar!
So many great ideas! I'm going to put on my thinking cap and see what I come up with for birthday gifts this coming year. Thank you!
PS While I love other people's dogs and cats and am always willing to love on them, I never have and never will have one in my home. That's just me so no judgement on anyone else's feelings on pets. 😊

I am also doing the cookie mix in a jar for my grandson since he now has his own place. The chef jar could also be a great idea and add some spices for the kitchen! Thanks for sharing your ideas.

I just love this idea Natasha ❤.!!! You never cease to amaze me. I am hoping to get a jar made for my son but Too much to do. Presents to wrap. Craft stuff I was going through in living room needs to be finished and clean kitchen table off. Was using it for my sewing. But there is always next year. But you know what? I have been making gift jars of different cookie mixes & jars of soup mixes & meals in a jar and always gave them out to family and sister in law at Christmas. Found out much later that my sister in law never made anything from the different jars I made her. That kinda hurt. Worse yet, the last time I gave my daughters both a couple cookie mixes and my youngest never made them up and when found in basement they were few years old. My daughters knew I made these a lot. I even have a book of gifts in a jar. I actually had hoped that someone would make me a gift in a jar but they never did 😢. Oh well. I do have a small metal candy box with all kinds of little treasures in it. When I was little, I was sick in bed and my Dad stopped and bought them s tin box of wrapped caramels. I remember him giving them to me. When I got better and ate the candy, I thought it would make a great treasure chest. Every once in a while I take it out just to touch my treasures and admire them. That little metal treasure box means so much to me. Thank you for a wonderful video. I loved what you made. All of them were so beautiful. I just put your book in my Amazon cart. You need to do another book to make different kinds of gift ideas. God Bless you🙏🏻❤️.Wishing you and your family a very Blessed Christmas.🙏🏻💚❤️⭐️🎄
