- In todays Chivalry 2 gameplay we are using the heavy cavalry sword to sack the new map bridgetown. Chivalry 2 just received a massive new content update and this was my first gameplay experience on the new map. What do you guys think of the new weapon and map in chivalry 2?

What are your first impressions of the new content?
Putting all the Tenosian cosmetics into a battle pass was a shit move, but other than that - the new sword is kinda fun (but probably lacks damage a bit) and new map is a huge W
its an okay patch imo, the heavy cavalry sword i feel like is a fine weapon, not bad but not too great either, and thats fine. the new map i love, its beautiful and super fun. i do have some issues though snd its the fact that the optimization is pretty lame on ps4, i know i cant really complain since its old gen, but everytime i play the new map the moment it starts the next game it crashes. like half an hour ago i left a game on coxwell and it crashed again, i logged back in and my data was corrupted apparently, thankfully it only deleted stats and customization (not the purchases but what i had equipoed) i just finished equipping all of it again and god i cannot wait to show torn banner how excited i was to do this (i will mail them a bomb)
There’s a major problem with the new map, the attackers don’t get enough time. In almost all of my matches defenders win. Also, I’m having issues putting down objects like flags and barricades. Aside from those the map is good. The heavy cavalry sword is ok but it needs a slight damage buff, right now there’s not enough reason to use it instead of the falchion.
A little disappointed that they didn't give the attackers more of a challenge.
Just another map that fucks the defenders.
And all that's going to do is encourage people to ONLY play attack (not that that's not already an issue 🙄)
@DragonVibin I think the opposite. I played a good amount of games and only got to the final stage once. I found the time for each objectives was wayy too little and cut it close almost every time
I had so many doubts about the Heavy cavalry sword. I am definitely not a fan of the horses in Chivalry, but man am I liking the Cavalry sword. I also like that they gave 2 classes acces to the sword.
Imo the Cavalry sword also feels good as it is now.

The weapon kinda feels like a one-handed pole-axe. Slow windup for easy counters with quick release for fast ripostes, active as hell thrust for drags, but low damage and combo pressure is a little lacking.
There is so little time for attack on this map, I feel like the game ends instantly every time. Bridgetown is a good map but has really bad problems that will fatally hold it back if they aren’t addressed such as spawns, it feels like attackers sometimes spawn either right on top of obj or so far away it takes 30+ seconds to get back to action after spawning, time for obj, how you don’t get added time for doing obj, the defend the bridge obj not being on the Fuckin bridge lmao. It’s a good map but has bad problems, it’s like TB slapped this map together in less than a month and didn’t bother to play test it. I do really like a new sword tho I feel like with a small damage buff like heavy overheads doing 70 it will be 100% gucci

Yeah it feels like you are always on the rush as an attacker, you have to just speedrun all the objectives one after another and that's just isn't fun :(
Also i fear this is intended because you can't place barricades or traps on most of the map.
Huge disappointment but can be fixed i hope

the cavalry sword is balanced tbh not op, the dmg isint that high

@@StridahsAngelsonestly I’m kinda split, cause the better mobility that comes with one handers lets you footwork around people’s guard and hit them really easy cause of the extended range. At least in my experiences I feel like playing that distance sets you up for strong slashes and overheads. It’s a really controlling weapon if you know how to strafe around your enemies. Definitely worse in the hands of somebody with worse movement though.
I actually really like the new content. Yes, the new map will need some tweeks but you also need to keep in mind that the lobbies are flooded with PS noobs so they will need some time to figure out the objectives. I probably played 7-8 games as the attackers on Bridgetown and never got passed the tossing nobles objective. BTW I probably enjoyed tossing nobles out of windows more than I should have.
4 real? Iam on ps5 and i played yesterday 10 times and i win as attackers and defenders every round. 😂
@@MadMaxFuture IDK, maybe you had enough veteran players that knew what they were doing. The same thing happened when Chiv 2 dropped on game pass. It takes the newbs a couple of days to figure it out.
We had people running the pigs to put spawn boat on aberfell 😂

I kinda wish they’d give tenosia some more heraldry’s the armors look great, but it sucks seeing everyone pretty much look the same otherwise the update is pretty good

I spectated a match once and found two pesants sitting on a dock on the side of the bridge. Flying closer to them I could hear them talking very loudly and for some reason their voices echoed like if they were supposed to be under the bridge. Their faces were really warpy as well but all and all I loved the the wooden horse head wepond that you could find inside the village or whatever so the map gets a 10/10 for me. I like the new map but I think tenosia needs more time, in one of the objectives you have to break 5+ karts in only 2 mins

cavalry sword is just falchion with better range therefore better
But it’s weaker and slower I think
May sound silly but i wish they would add a bokken, a wooden training sword so you could have even longer and trolly duels in server duels lmao, or even just for the troll of running into war with a wooden sword 😂
The cavalry sword is good no doubt. It felt right the first time I started using it. Fast enough, hits hard enough for what it is and the range is sweet. Weirdly enough Sooter Dave said its not very good, but maybe he is duel centric and that is why ? It feels to me like a bit of a mix between the sword and falchion, but it is clearly its own weapon.
It could use a tad more damage
@@StridahsAngels Wouldn't that make it too good ? The range already makes it good. Then the falchion would be kind of pointless as it is shorter ( Like short sword lenght ). And people will start using the one handed sword less.
The HL sword needs some love. Because it makes sense that a messer slash should do more damage.

The new sword is a'ight definitely not op. I think after this initial honeymoon phase wears off i wont use it anymore. New map is fun conceptually but quite rough in practice. There is too little time to attack and the team balancing has seemed off every time ive played it aka my team either stomps or gets stomped with no in between. Still testing it out at this point
I kind of Agree on new sword it needs a slight dmg buff long term

cavalry sword is the only 1h i ever did a slash into alt slash fake accel- spin drag. But the damage is too weak for me personally. Would use it if i was gonna go in as cavalry tho

The map has flaws. Defense is already disadvantaged with almost everyone in the community agreeing with that point and the first stage they make you play multiple times as a peasant to add insult to injury. Peasants have low health and shitty weapons and they are the least interesting character to play. So as a reward on playing defense which sucks you play a peasant? Wtf
They could've came up with something like some sellswords happened to be in town joining the celebration and then they help defend the first stage. That way you have some uniquely designed characters (not peasants being thrown to the slaughter) to add a welcomed mix to the game. Not saying my suggestion is the only one or the best just an idea. Peasants was a terrible choice honestly
The map is too short honestly. I would've liked atleast one more objective with a VIP.

The new map seems cool, we only got as far as the bridge when I played but it flowed well! The cavalry sword seems well balanced too.

I really love the update, imo the map is awesome (it needs little bit saturation or some contrast tho). Throwing nobles out of the building was so funny! and i like the Saber.
I'm not sure but does it has its own sound effect when it slaps the armor? Because i love that sound a lot!

I posted this on another of your videos but here goes. It was pretty laggy.
The burning if the houses needs either two fire sources and or more time for attackers. Love the map and game play is fun and amazing but i think there is a memory leak because ever so often i was freezing g or a slight second then i crashed one time.
Over all its cool.

When I was playing I noticed the 24/7 mode you don’t get xp for your campaign pass? can someone else confirm this???….but this dlc is pretty🔥🔥🔥this is what we needed has anyone else got past the throwing the Knobles? What happens after?? That part is fun throwing Knobles out windows but for defense with so many new players your fighting 1v13’s in that tiny house 🤣🤣🤣

In general I would say graphics are good, but this map looks fucked
Out of all the things bad with Chivalry graphics are not one of them. If you play more you'll get to appreciate the phenomenal gameplay and then you'll notice some glaring issues with the game. By that time you won't even think about graphics
The sword has nice range and i love its special. The map feels like you have to rush and i hate fkn horses please for fks sake no horses.
I have not got to play it in 64 yet without horses
