This is just one of JPJ"s genius contributions
Yes!!
@@juliemanarin4127 100%
Absolutely. the live version shows that even better
Beat me to it. Does he play both keyboard and bass live?
@@shegocrazy Probably! He plays a HUGE variety of instruments!
You guys need to hear the live version from The Song Remains the Same concert in 73 ! It’s pretty epic and blows away the album version IMO. Arguably Jimmy’s best solo on tape. 🔥
Yep, much better than the studio.
Yes live is the way to go
Definitely yes 👍
It's incredible!!!!!!!
Yes, agree 100%. Jimmy's solo, and the transition following are both incredible. (You also have to do your best to ignore the video interposed into the concert footage - Led Zep's one and only mistake).
The brilliance of JPJ is all through this song. He never gets the love he deserves. True genius.
Every other word I hear is about him being a secret weapon and he gets no credit. I think the secret is out ok
Getting those new Zeppelin albums, back then when they each came out, was better than Christmas morning.
One of my favorite Zeppelin songs! Their live version of this has a little more of the heavy guitar you're looking for.
It's Page at his finest
Every song by Zeppelin was different. Their creativity was a crucial element of what made them so great.
Whilst they were all on the same wavelength collectively, Jimmy was the instigator and I'll never forget this simple but amazing quote about his music philosophy - ''Music is about dynamics, light and shade. From thunder to a whisper''
"I'm so happy " . perfect response , I love it !
You gotta check out the Original Live Version at MSG 1973. It blows the studio version away. Thanks you all! Keep it going.
If you ever hear the piano or keyboards, that's the bassist John Paul Jones...he could play multiple instruments, he was the secret weapon of Led Zeppelin...Plant is the greatest singer, Page is the greatest guitarist, Bonham is the greatest drummer and Jones NOT ONLY is the greatest bassist but also mastered the organ, piano, keyboards, mandolin, etc...
He played any string instrument there was and keyboards!!
And he was also a great arranger
A big Led Zeppelin song. Very popular among Zep fans. John Paul Jones masterpiece.
Happy you are reacting the studio version first.
As others have said MSG 1973 is a must watch.
Back in the day, when the party was winding down, your brain still bubbling from the nights treats...THIS is the song you put on, dim the lights, and sing along lost in an inner universe of your own making.
Colored lightbulbs, a must! Always get a fresh drink before it starts.
Zep IV for us
oh, hell yes...mind blown...ear phones...what a trip. one thing i miss from those days is this ride.
Bonham's eerie drumming is overlooked
No...never overlooked!
By who, exactly?
Love this song, and your reaction! You two do a great job with all your reviews - especially LedZep!
Tool does an amazing cover of this song. Heavier and some thunderous drumming from Danny Carey.
"Nobody's Fault But Mine". Buckle up!😄
Led Zepp ist best of best :)
Glad you are okay, I was getting worried about you two being absent with all that's going on over there!
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
John Paul playing his ass off in this track...the most under-credited member of the band, so often like in this track, it is John Paul making it amazing.
Great reaction
Get well soon
He is a musical genis!! I'm born on his birthday 😊
Pleased you folks are safe
One of my favorite LZ songs. As many have already mentioned the live MSG '73 version is great!
7:32
If this is your mood you should jump into "Battle of Evermore" or "Dazed and Confused" by them. Epic, chill out rock songs!
Jon Paul Jone’s track. Written by him ( I think ) driving bass and keyboards. He’s one in a million when it comes to musicians!!!! Often overlooked by reactors
I watched another reaction from two guys who went through the albums in chronological order. During Houses of the Holy one of them said “if you can’t tell what instrument is being played, it is John Paul Jones.” I saw a video from a few weeks ago and he was playing a steel lap guitar at a bluegrass festival.
@@edwardcoit9748 so talented. Now he’s writing music scores for films !
Absolutely unbelievable!! This live 1973 at msg...full version since they have some cut half ones out there...must be seen!!
When I heard this song the first time my skin crawled!!!! Total connection!!!
Their most atmospheric tune, I have heard a few covers of the song but no one come close to them it gives me chills every single time! You have to do this live at MSG 1973, incredible extended version, one of the very best live tracks they ever did. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
You’ll hear plenty of loud guitar in the live version from MSG in 1973!
Great reaction, Love you Guys
300 million albums and counting 👊
Foremost they are great musicians at the highest level.
Pure Zeppelin!
Before they would play this one they would turn the lights low and smoke from dry ice would roll across across the stage for a spooky effect. Those were the days
This song live contains Jimmy's best guitar solo ever. Was my favorite song when I saw them live.
One of my favorite Zeppelin songs.
You should give the Page and Plant acoustic version of this song from their " Unledded " sessions, darlings.
It’s hard to pick favorites, because all their songs are so great, something you can’t say about other bands. This is definitely a JPJ highlighted song, & of course he does magnificent. Plant’s vocals always rise to all occasions, by being perfect for every song. This along with every other song, is why they are the greatest band ever.
Yes indeed
Some of their live versions last around 20mins!
❤😂 you already have 40 in your top 5! It's impossible to pick favourites amongst Led Zeppelin songs, albums.
"No Quarter" is also the title of "unledded" album...Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, 1994., together again!!! I strongly recommend this album! I am from Serbia 🇷🇸, and i love your reaction!💓💓💓
Love your reaction Love Led Zeppelin
No Quarter is better with more volume 😅 🔊
Brilliant. One of my favorite tracks from Led Zeppelin.
Also, please check out Ten Years Gone, studio version of course. Gratitude.
Thanks, love your reaction videos and my favorite band since 1969❤ Led Zeppelin ❤
Choice Zep tracks: "Ramble On", "What Is And What Should Never Be", "Communication Breakdown", "Over The Hills And Far Away", "Dancing Days", "Custard Pie", "Out On The Tiles", "Bring It On Home". All different styles, and all styles you haven't sampled yet. I envy your discovery!
I love this song - my favourite Zep song. JPJ on keyboards with the Taurus bass pedal and John Bonham’s drumming are so musical.
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
The live version we're referring to has an extended guitar solo on it.
Ny sister played this album incessantly when I was a little boy. This song creeped me TF out. I think it was the reference to death & the devil that did it (plus the eerie music).
I believe it’s about Medieval times, could be about battles between English & Vikings, with the mention of Thor. I know both would show NO Mercy, the Vikings did invade England for a better life. Yes the MSG (1973) version is really amazing, but then all their lives enhance the songs. Thank you for your reaction.
Great to hear you're doing the MSG '73 version of Dazed and Confused - it's incredible! (OMG, the transitions)
You need to listen to the live version from 73 MSG
Tons of reverb on that track. John Paul Jones did all the keyboard work. Tremendous.
I love JPJ's fuzzy bass in this song!
Their best song ❤ It’s all there 🙏
John Paul Jones the bass player was the driving force in creating this track and was more than a little upset when Page & Plant put out their acoustic album titled "No Quarter" without involving him or even mentioning it to him.
They're all friends now though.
His bass and keyboards!!
@@juliemanarin4127 Yes. A supremely talented musician that for some baffling reason doesn't get the credit that Bonham, Page and Plant received.
You stated fact; this song is perfect! This is such a great song, that gets more powerful with every listen. It absolutely does not need a more powerful guitar, its power is in the perfectly timed build-ups and hard grooves.
I suggest listening to it a few times, and I think you will see how powerful the guitar really is. I love the joy you two bring to the experience of classic rock.
Please watch it live!!❤❤
Such a unique song! It absolutely creates a dark, cold atmosphere. Listen to this on a walk outside, on a cold winter night!
Loved your reaction, so right on. They make me happy too. ❤😊
It's time to sample another signature Zep style: mystical soundscapes punctuated by rocket-launching riffs. Best examples: "Over The Hills And Far Away", "What Is And What Should Never Be" and "Ramble On" ("Ramble On" is top-five Zep). On the other hand, if you want to melt your speakers, look no further than "Communication Breakdown" (first album), wherein Zep introduces adrenaline-fueled punk rock seven years before punk rock existed. Can't wait to watch you react to those four.
When it comes to Led Zeppelin, you gotta do it live.... from The Song Remains the Same ✌️🙂 actually EVERYTHING from that concert is amazing ! 😉👍
One of my favorites.
They choose the path where no one goes. They ask no quarter.
Have to watch the live version from ‘73 at MSG, obviously. The full, uncut version. It’s a must-see.
Carol is not taking prisoners today
John Paul Jones shows what a brilliant musician he is especially here on keyboards the incredible drumming of John Bonham the Unbeilavable vocals of Robert Plant and the electric guitar of Jimmy Page shows how Led Zeppelin were absolutely masters just brilliant
Oh yeah, for sure check out the live version from the ‘73 MSG show. It is a must!
Ok Elie: You want a “harder version of this song with heavy guitar? Well, there is one to satisfy that itch. React to TOOL’s cover of No Quarter. I’m a HUGE Zephead, but I also love that cover…when I’m in the mood for heavier music.
Definitely in my top ten songs of all time, JPJ is the man!
This was pretty much the song from the album that started it all for me. Houses of the Holy is my favorite album. My Zeppelin obsession began 28 years ago, but they were also on my parent’s turntable for as long as I remember. Lynyrd Skynyrd too. Cannot wait for the day you guys react to Dazed & Confused from MSG 73. EPIC!! 🤘
Ten Years Gone, please. Great song
Hey guys, great to see you ! The live version guitar lead is one of the best ever ! Gotta try it. See you
One of my favourites, you need to listen to more from the Physical Graffiti album, Start with 'In my time of dying, or 'The Rover'. cheers good video
one of my favorite Zeppelin guitar riffs.......gotta do Bon Y ur Stomp
1973 at Madison square Garden is a must see, it’s eye and ear Candy 😂😂😂😂😂
It's good to see how you have learned to come to Led Zep tracks without expectations. You just slap on the headphones and seem to say, "Okay, where are we going this time?" Sometimes it matches the mood you were already in, and sometimes you just have to see where it can take you from where you are. As soon as you realized that this was going to be one of those jazzy mood pieces, you seemed to settle in ready to surf that wave. So now this is one you know to play when you are feeling a little dark but determined, or when you need to summon up some strength to persevere against all odds in this world. This is the iron will of the mystic. It is not really about violence, but it is about keeping an absolute eye on the goal to be achieved, regardless of anything put in your way.
FYI, this song is about the Paths of the Dead that Aragon, Legolas, and Gimli must travel in LotR.
Check out the Main squeeze cover of No Quarter
Remember guys, each Zeppelin song is different and people have their own favorites and likes. I guess that was their way of not boring us with similar songs... always keeping us wondering what is next! Great job guys for jumping into less popular hits from them. Please try "Heartbreaker" official audio... Carole... you will appreciate the harder rock side to this one! Then, Elie, try "Fool In The Rain"... where John "Bonzo" Bonham's drumming takes it to another level of Brazillian Carnival Party Time!!! Enjoy!
Led Zep did a sort of reggae track that’s proper up lifting from Bonham’s intro
D’yer M’aker…
The drumming is amazing…
Great to see you guys enjoying music that has been lost due to talent shows
And fools promoting violence, with this Drill waffle…❤
You’re a gorgeous ❤ couple … Thank You for sharing
I hear you... For the heavy electric guitar version listen to it Live MSG '73, you wont be disappointed.
The live version from MSG is what your wishing for. It's harder, louder and a lot more heavy.
An underated song but probably up there with Stairway. A brilliant piece of work and could see that you appreciated it.
I've been listening to LZ for many decades. I love this song. I also love Tools cover/interpretation of this masterpiece.
You should give it a reaction.
Feel better Carol 😊
Live Madison Square Garden 1973 is awesome and a bit more mesmerizing.
Zzzzeds just zeppin' love your reactions to such classics
Yes!
Watch and listen to No Quarter live from Madison Square Garden 1973
You will love the guitar getting a little LOUDER!!!
Must watch live at MSG 1973 ONE OF the greatest performances ever. Jimmys guutar solo epic. Not sure if full version still on CZcams.
I had a great feeling of deja vu as if I'd seen you react to this song before.
Must listen the No Quarter vesion at MSG 1973. It got killer Page solo!
you'll get the rocker you wanted on "The Immigrant Song".
Guys, do a back to back with the live version at MSG 1973. Unreal !
Badass.
The live version of this at song MSG in 73 is off the chain! You guys really have to react to the album or studio version of Kashmir. The live version you already reacted to does not do it justice. Considering your heritage, it's a must!
That is what you call EPIC! The GOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
When you do The Rain Song, do it on a day when you're in the mood for a more laid back song with deep lyrics.
