The salmon run badges are some of the hardest in the game for me. I have played exactly 200 shifts at this point in the game and I only have 2 boss splats total. I have a massive respect to people who overfish because It’s no small feat to get good at salmon run.

I have a question about those salmonids golden badges : if I splat a boss after the time reach 0, does it count ?
@@flodthelunatic5678I think so since you get Power Eggs (the orange ones) after the wave ends from Lesser Salmonids, but I would check if you see those Power Eggs if you splat a Boss Salmonid to make sure. If you do, then it should count.
I think they should increase badge slots from 3 to 5, or even 7, for people who have over 200 badges 😂

I love Splatoon, and Splatoon 3 is overall massively improved over previous games, but the Badges are emblematic of the game’s biggest problem: it doesn’t respect your time in the slightest.
Honestly that's just online games in general

If you see anyone with the Level 999 badge, I’d think it’s pretty safe to assume that they’ve gotten the badge through mods/hacks. For context, Splatoon 3 has only been out for a little over 11,500 hours, and when you factor in basic necessities like sleep, spending that much time online becomes unfeasible pretty fast. So I’d argue this belongs at the top of the list - at this time in the game, it’s physically impossible.
unless you have complete inhuman skill and KO every match super quickly (which isn’t really possible anyways!) yeah, anyone with that is hacking
The closest I've seen someone away from level 999 is a Japanese player which is at level 780 rn.
Some people are unnaturally good at the game and probably get a LOT of KO’s each day, you’d be surprised how easy some people level up
@@fate7418 even if you spent every waking hour playing Splatoon, you’d only have clocked around 7,500 at this point (given 8 hours a day for sleeping and generally keeping yourself alive as a human being). It’s probably technically possible, but even if you make enough money to live by streaming one game literally all day every day, there are things you have to do to make sure you don’t accidentally commit tax evasion or something.
And besides, if you’re good enough to get quick KOs in 99% % of the games you play in ANY solo-queue team-based shooter, you’re probably good enough to have basically any e-sports team begging at your doorstep.

The gold grizzco points badge should really be the platinum style similar to tableturf 999 and level 999 badge, and have the gold one at 1,000,000 points

As someone who was no lifing sr exclusively for several months and doing a few 100k rotations, I'm still only at a 3rd towards it. It's absurd.
You can legit get the silver in one rotation. Gold is absurd and only recently have the absolute die hard runners started getting it.

13:22 Remember that the shell-out machine has a different seed during splatfests, so I'd recommend checking that one too once next splatfest rolls around incase you already haven't.
And jackpots are a lot more common during splatfests! Though that brings up the issue of splatfests being a limited thing that will stop eventually
They are not more common during Splatfests, the odds are exactly the same. I've checked both seeds for mine in the past and my gold is closer to 2000 rolls away on my Splatfest seed, compared to the nornal seed which is around 1500.@@LiliumOrientalis
@@Chase247 That's not how odds/statistics work though. Just because your splatfest seed is farther away doesn't mean that the odds in general aren't better on splatfests.

The gold Grizzco points club badge does feel a bit unfair with the huge gap. So huge props to monomy for achieving it with +20k shifts.1 million is definitely more of a reasonable number, or heck, Nintendo could do the splatoon "3" theme and make it 3,333,333 points. It would still feel feesable compared to the current requirements. Currently i have 1 million, so im nowhere near gold.

I got to 5 stars with my Tri-Stringer, and according to the app, I have 446 wins. Most of them were Anarchy wins. Of course, not all of them were knockouts, but I'm proud of myself that I got closer to that number than I thought. I don't play Private battles.
Great list, but I disagree on the hardest badge.
While unlikely, it is *technically* possible to be lucky enough to get the shellout badge,
but earning the 5 star neo sploosh badge is physically impossible since the human body would die from playing that weapon long before you get that much turf inked with it.

This is what aggravates me about this game so much! Back in 1 & 2, you didn’t have to be the very best (like no one ever was…). As long as you stayed on top of the game’s events, you could obtain all the collectibles, no sweat. I’m a collector by nature; it’s how I play games and enjoy my hobbies. But the way they have handled Splatoon 3’s badges is infuriating! It honestly seems like a slap in the face to those of us who just want to collect and have fun!

Great video chase, The win streak badges actually are going to help me a lot since I thought it was 350 and 259 straight. I am also happy about that the tableturf badge was very low on the list because of the bot and grinding it will take probably 1000-1200 hours. However this was a great video
U can kinda cheese the grizzco club badge by overfishing. Means less shifts BUT still ultra grind intensive.
That's insane! I think I'll just enjoy playing Splatoon. I did five-star my Splatana Wiper and I did get the bronze capsule once (10x of each chunk). I do wish Salmon Run was a lot easier, or at least for gear to be cheaper. I've not played a ton of Salmon Run vs. the anarchy or Turf War, maybe 4-5 hours on average, it took me a long time to be able to get a blue suit back in October and currently, I only have 5 silver toward a new suite three months later. I have seen a few players with the black suits, I've seen none with the new designs.
You will see the new suits pretty often at Eggsecutive VP rank. The probability of getting silver and gold scales increases with the Hazard Level and (if and) how quickly the King Salmonoid was splatted, i.e. the average rank of the crew of each shift, but there is also pure luck involved in how many scales in total and of each worth you get exactly (except for pre-determined minimum of total scales, which are most often all bronze). But gold scales are even in the highest ranks very rare. The most expensive single item that you can buy with these scales is a golden Salmon Run banner that costs 333 golden scales. That's why they are so rare.
I have someone in my friends list with the gold Grizzco points badge. When I saw it on their banner I was in shock for a few hours.
Damn, that’s impressive. I’ve played nearly 1000 hours of salmon run, and I’ve only seen ONE person with it. It was the only badge on his splashtag too, indicating he was proud of it.

I also love your collaboration with @hydrocynic! Hydro also has great content (I haven't watched much of his channel yet, but what I saw about Salmon Run was great).
I like the idea of implementing ways to make some badges easier and I have some ideas.
For salmon run I think it would be cool if you got a points multiplier for killing bosses if you have there silver or gold badge.
For PvP maybe you could get a multiplier for having the gold badge for any respective mode.
Another idea could be to have a percent multiplier based on your series level or your x ranking, similar to how sr has a multiplier based on your points level.
For shell out, maybe you could pay more money to increase your odds of getting a silver or gold capsule.
badges should not actually give any form of benefit. that's against their nature as a cosmetic to show off your personal experiences with the game and to express yourself.
When the game first came out (I had it on midnight digital release pre ordered and everything) I made it my mission to get every single badge in the game. It feels so weird, 1.3 years later into the game how at the time I made that my mission, it WAS possible and now it’s definitely not
It's worth saying that even though it's true up to 80 division-specific X badges (40 in each division) could be handed out each season, quite a few players are top 10 in multiple modes, meaning that it's possible the total number of people receiving the badge will be less than 80. The same holds true across seasons, with a few players frequently in the top 10 on multiple (or all) modes every season.
That's why I say it's a maximum of 80 handed out every season in the video

One could also say that the number of "new" badges issued could be as low as 0, if all players in the top 10 in each division already received the badge in a previous season.

As a Nintendo games lover, I always 100% every game even the rest of the obtainable object is very hard
But after I see these kind of badges… I know the way why I should just enjoy playing Splatoon 3 but not 100% it
These are enough hours to be really good at a new skill or a new language
The skill is called "playing Splatoon 3 at a high level" (at least for the badges for non-Main Weapons and non-Special Weapons).
Learning this skill is rather challenging and those that do reach that level, would be good at many high value jobs in today's world. These badges should count as certificates for certain jobs. They would be more meaningful than most job interviews or diplomas of higher education (I am serious 😅).
Let's see if, in five years or so, we come back to this video to say that someone did indeed get all the badges in the game legitimately.
Great video all the same. The only one of those badges I could see myself getting are some of those golden Salmonid boss badges, excluding the Big Shot and the Kings. And I'd like to shoehorn the Marooner's Bay golden badge in there. Sure it takes only one rotation to do, but it's concentrated misery to accomplish.

There is one mercy to the golden capsule seekers: splatfest capsules use a different RNG seed from normal capsules so if you have a bad normal capsule one you might have a good splatfest one. It at least a better one

Id say for the grizzco badges it goes from king badges < big shot badge < golden point club as you can guarantee a king just by cycling and if you are dedicated to even get the badges you will have a team anyways. Big shots are so rng dependent that I know of people getting the golden points badge before the golden bigshot (most likely to letting other people kill them) but yeah big shots dont spawn as much as others and even then they dont spawn in big hordes like others
Plus Big Shots are part of the more tanky Boss Salmonids.
1,200 HP with no damage modifiers and then you get rolled with the puniest DPS weapon.
@@metayoshi1712 its more of bug shots are ha hot commodity. They arent hard tk kill even the slowest of dps takes 4 seconds.

an entry for an unused badge on splatoon 3's tcrf article suggests that the "number of [x]" badges were likely auto-generated during development. assuming that this is true, this is probably less a case of intentionally making horrifying badges and moreso just getting overzealous with the parameters with the dev tools.

I swear Splatoon matchmaking has a personal vendetta against me. Every time I try to play Series or X, it seems like every other game I'm matched against (almost never with) a player with the gold X badge. AND I'M LIKE A 2000XP PLAYER AT BEST!!! HELP!!! THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE!!! 🤣

One thing you forgot to point out Chase is that your series streaks for anarchy reset when you attempt a rank-up battle. Making those badges even harder.
But as I said in the video... the streaks are irrelevant. It's total series won, they don't have to be in a row
@@Chase247 Since by "won series" you (or Nintendo) means not lost 3 times in the same series, only the outcomes of each Anarchy Series that are 5:0, 5:1, or 5:2 (i.e. the number of won vs. lost battles per series) count as a "won series" for these badges, right?
Because one could otherwise assume that 4:3 is a won series since more battles were won than lost in the same series.
Nintendo should have simply called them "Win Anarchy Series 250 times in total" to avoid confusion since each Anarchy Series consists of multiple Anarchy Battles.

I’ve gotten quite a few badges. But you do have to grind quite a bit to get some of them
I remember someone did the math. If someone played the game as much as possible, with the double xp ticket, and factoring in the average recommended 8 hr sleep, we should in theory, start seeing the badge show up in late April or early may without hacks.
But even then that's the quickest possibility. That's not counting potential lag/disconnects, playing other modes, etc.
Well the Sheldon License ➡️ Shell-out Token Conversion is at least aiding in getting those Jackpots.
ive gotten a couple of gold capsules but ive also spent well over 3,000,000 on the shell out machine which i only know cuz the badge lmao
can confirm have been playing since DAY ONE and i literally go nuts buying the capsules every day and have NEVER gotten a gold
Concerning the hardest badge there is extra coding ensuring that in a certain region of capsules (dunno if 1,000 or 10,000) you are confirmed to have at least 1, but since this reflects a grind of cash equivalent of uncalculatable time for everyone this is arguably the hardest non-combat related badge.
It's definitely 10,000 cause I've done over 2,000 rolls with zero gold. I have gotten some silver though

I am not sure if this is a glitch. But I played in both divisions of Rank X since the badges were added, but I never got any of the X badges for both divisions (ie, reach 2K power in one mode), and only for the division I was in the first time I did the objective. Are the Rank X badges only one time regardless of your division or still need to be done in both divisions for each badge; to show you played in both divisions?
I think that another worthy mention is the 30 million cash spent at the shell out machine

I’m currently going for the 5 star Gold Aerospray badge. I only play turf war (ranked ain’t my thing) and I’ve gone from 583k required to 333k over the last week and a half.
It’s a real grind but I want my first 5 star badge to be my favorite weapon across all three Splatoon games!

I think the reason the absurd badges never bothered me is because I come from an MMO mindset where the idea is you’re supposed to take literal years to earn them.
in my region (Splatoon 2) i was top 100 on clam blitz and 6th in turf war in my region from 2019 to 2021

1) So for the Anarchy Series badges (i.e., 10 straight wins), when you say "At the Start of Chill Season 2023", does that imply that the count starts once Chill Season 2023 started? In other words... we all started at 0 in Chill Season 2023 for this badge and then work our way up?
2) Does the Anarchy Series badge get rewarded after a certain rank? Can you get the badge at A rank, S rank, or is it only rewarded once you get to S+ Rank?

XP tickets do not affect freshness.
Also I don't know how jackpots work but apparently if you get 2 in the same season it doesn't count? (Like it doesn't even give you the past seasons' banner and title) Correct me if I'm wrong, but if players don't get a silver and golden capsule since launch its impossible to get
Man Im at level 62 right now and Im halfway to Level 100 as thats my goal currently right now and Ive been playing the game since Christmas of 2022 over a year now as that Christmas is when I got the game itself. I do not have the patience nor skill to even think about getting to Level 999 neither. But in Red Dead Online Im Rank 161 think its been so long since I played that game I might need to get back to it. :)

We’ll pretty much get Splatoon 4 before someone gets these high end badges. These badges are ridiculous. I’m at level 114 and been playing this game casually and got 2 5 star weapon badges and I feel burnt out.
For the straight series, you don’t need to go 5-X to get the points for it, just at least 3-X. I very rarely go 5-X, but getting at least 3 wins in a series will still count for the badge

I went against a guy in turf war with the golden X rank badge and he got 27 kills. Very humbling (and painful) experience
Once I learned about these badges AND THEN THEY ADDED MORE THIS SEASON, I gave up trying to 100% the regular (not silver or gold) badges. My goal is to get the top 3,000 X badge and maybe 200 VP on each station (I have 999 for one), but those are very unlikely because I suck. 1600-1800 X power is nowhere near top 3000. I am Pathetic

The Anarchy Series badge is so easy to get tho, you can always derank to A/B/C and bam free badge
you only get 1 reset a season.
The game's servers will probably shut down before anyone has a real chance to get every badge in the game
With the exception of the top 10 and top 500 badges, everything else is attainable with lots of grinding and patience. Top 10 is only reserved for the best comp players in the world. Gonna spill the tea but some top players pick NA division for a season to make top 10 badges easier to attain and some have even partaken in win trading *cough cough* That’s probably why they updated the X badges to indicate which division you received it in
