In his super exclusive interview in the midst of general elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dispelled notions that India’s economic growth is ‘K-shaped’ where the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer. This is the message from the opposition as well as some international studies. The Prime Minister was facing some tough queries - political and economic, from an anchor panel of India Today Group comprising Rahul Kanwal, News Director, TV Today Network, Sudhir Chaudhary, Consulting Editor, Aajtak, Anjana Kashyap, Managing Editor, Special Projects, Aaj Tak; and Sweta Singh, Managing Editor, Aajtak Programming. The Prime Minister cited the huge rush of Chardham pilgrims in the state of Uttarakhand and the massive jump in destination weddings at both domestic and global hotspots. He also talked about the huge aircraft orders by Indian airlines, asking how the number of passengers could’ve risen if there was more poverty in the country.
