"Health Care" (Minus Health, Care) | a Detrans Story with Camille Kiefel

  • Camille Kiefel struggled with psychological and physical health issues growing up, then in college found Women's Studies and through that began to process her issues through a gender lens, leading to her eventual mastectomy, which supposedly would "affirm" her "non-binary" identity. Turns out that was a load of bull, and she's now trying to hold the health care system to account. Find her on youtube at

To have an uncomfortable relationship with your body in teen years is the most normal feeling. Your body changes without your approval or consent and you generally feel awkward, highly critical of this strange body that demands so much from you! This ought to be explained to youngsters and also that this is just a phase and there is nothing wrong with them.

Nah, it really isn't. So people who didn't have "body issues" as teens are not reacting properly? "Body issues" are put into social sphere and people, youth especially, react to them, and yeah this is increasing every decade for the last 80 years. By design imo..

I didn't have so much an issue with my body, but an issue with where I fit in socially. I really wanted to be a skater chick, even though I didn't know how to skateboard. But, I loved the aesthetic and embarrassed myself by all of a sudden showing up to school wearing grungy clothes and converse sneakers. I got teased relentlessly all day because it was so out of left field and I didn't even hang out with skaters.

When I was around 13, I went from being completely flat to having DDD+ size breasts even though I’ve always been very thin. I hated them so much that I often said I wish I could cut them off. I tried to get a breast reduction early on but no surgeon would operate on me until I was 25. I would have 100% gotten wrapped up in this ideology if it was around when I was a teenager/young adult, not only to take advantage of the fact that I could remove my breasts with no pushback, but for lots of other reasons (I’m autistic, was gender nonconforming, etc).

If you don't mind being asked, was the worst part for you that the attention it garnered felt humiliating (both neutral attention and sexual attention)? Do you think it would have been completely fine if you developed size B at first, or say if it took 4 years to slowly advance through the sizes as opposed to so suddenly "strike" to DDD?
Then also, what did it take (or how long did it take) to eventually grow comfortable with them or even come to appreciate them?

@@jtzoltan I won't answer for her, but I just want to share mine. I'm also sex stereotype nonconforming and was dysphoric but only have small breasts. If it was any bigger, I would've hated it too. But the funny thing was, back then, even having small breasts made me feel like I wasn't enough of a girl so I could have easily thought I was meant to be a boy. I didn't think that way though but when elliot page came out, I played with that idea a bit. A few years after and by 25, I simply felt at peace with my body somehow. This was at a time when I dropped social media so I generally stopped caring about other people's perceptions.

I was an idiot at times how I have treated it yet it has always come through for me. Not that I haven’t had some fairly serious health issues but it tries so hard to swing back around. Then, after the event a woman told me I was "sleeping with the enemy" and that men, including my young son were not welcome. I told her, "Fuck you!" and I left. I still consider myself a second wave feminist, but my feminism includes male allies and lots of other folks. It's about opening, not slamming the doors. Amazing the time and energy wasted on attacking their own allies in many so-called "progressive" organizations instead of encouraging unity to make the world better. Not one group I encountered for any progressive cause (except one for the rights of Native Americans) from the late 60s to the present was free of this toxicity and censorship of speech. Anyone who had a different opinion or did not blindly follow the "leadership" wound up being trashed. In some cases members were pushed to the edge mentally and those with a fragile sense of self were broken down and bullied. Many of these groups, feminist and others, self-destructed or are now lost in identity politics. And still eating their own. Idealistic and/or confused young people are being brainwashed and manipulated into this insane gender ideology cult. Hopefully people like Camille will be able to help expose this.Thank you Camille and all the other brave de-transitioners for speaking out! We just are not as reductionist as Doctors are and we focus on treating the whole body mentally, emotionally and physically ( holistically) and root cause not just treating and /or supressing the symptoms with pharmaceuticals.

@@sharonschieber Thank you for your question :)
Sorry to hear that you've been struggling with that for years. And yes its very highly possible there is a link . You could start looking into probiotics , but you need to clean up your diet from processed and refined foods. Whole foods , grains, lots of fruits and vegetables, oily fish , small amounts of meat. As the food you eat is used to feed the stomachs microbiome and the crappy food inhibits the growth of the microbiome. Our microbiome is also involved in making neurotransmitters our brains need to function optimally, so that's why they call it the gut-brain axis.
Tbh it would be unethical of me to recommend anything specific with out doing a 90 minute consultation and fully taking your whole case from birth til now.
I suggest finding a Naturopath in your area. Unfortunately I'm in Australia . But I'm sure you could find a great one close to where you live. And they will be able to find the best strain of probiotic for your condition 😀

If an individual doesn't have that, they seem more likely to feel lonely and unhappy. It's much easier to seek out medication than it is to remedy loneliness. I disagree. We didnt have an epidemic of youth mental health issues before the 1960's.
The kids getting caught up in gender dysphoria are usually the autistic, and "unpopular" kids, they are also usually kids from rich or middle class backgrounds and privilege.
We know sexual abuse rates are much higher in African American and native communities, but they have much lower rates of gender dysphoria.
In 3rd world countries where SA is rife, gender dysphoria is unheard of, It has been known for thousands of years that young people going through puberty can experience sadness, and depression but its usually a phase and kids mature out of it. I don't think it's accurate to state that developmentally disabled kids who are socially isolated and sometimes in need of more parental input are privileged. This whole treatment being advertised as "transitioning" should stop misleading future patients that they have to be the opposite sex in order to ease their distress. It should be treated like any cosmetic surgeries that makes someone feel good about themselves.

So...some women just don't want to be bothered. They get them removed. Done! End of problem. Now, a new, much bigger problem. I wish Camille had been taught to revel in her body, enjoy her giggling top and the rest of her wonderful body. So sad, Wish I had known her. Girl, you are blessed! She would not have believed me.

    • @tubester4567
      @tubester4567 Před rokem +2

I dont believe that "every woman gets hassled by men" I've heard women complain they are "invisible to men" when they are overweight and when they reach about 45, and plenty of girls who say they were not popular in school. Most of these girls who get caught up in the trans/nonbinary thing are not the popular girls, they are usually the kids with autism, and unpopular kids with poor social skills.
Like this girl in the video, feminist/LGBT ideologues brainwash girls to hate men and blame men for everything. The girl even said how her teacher said "If you have depression or mental; health problems its because of sexism and the patriarchy". Kids are being psychologically abused by woke-left radicals in education, and its a disgrace.

    2 points:
1 - Benjamin keeps saying "what was done to Camille" - I can't help but wonder if you can state it that way when she was a full grown adult when she underwent surgery. Not to minimize any of the problems with medical side of things but.. I find it somewhat dismissive of her own responsability.
2 - The problem with Camille going on tucker Carlson is that it was a 3 min "piece", there no in-depth conversation. It serves his purposes much more than hers, I believe. Not to say he is pure evil but he too has an agenda. It may be a "good one" or a slightly less bad one when it comes to Transgender issues, than other issues, but still, that tiny segment did no one any favours, I think.
Disclaimer - Yes, I don't particularly like Tucker Carlson for his stance on Economics, Social issues and more, but I find he is closer to the "truth" in this issue than many left leaning journalist, commentators and such..

We are ordained or ordered towards the sacred gift of life we have all received. I'd recommend anyone look up "final causality".. everything is understandable in terms of how we are ordered towards certain ends and purposes. Flowers are that type of thing that is ordered towards sunlight. We are moved by love, beauty, goodness, joy and the Unmoved Mover.. the ground of being. BEING itself. Himself.. .is God.
