    Actually adding the dci will also net you better numbers than stock AB because of volume and flow. more air regardless gives you better performance. The stock airbox even at stock boost has trouble in the higher rpm

    Only thing that I dislike is the way it looks/fit, I know its like half the price of a AEM or Injen but IMO those 2 look much better plus they come with a heatshield. Can't lie tho once I get my 335 I might end up with these just cause of the price lol

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety

      Jeff E yeah man, for the price it gets the job done well! You get used to the "look" of them after a little while

    What if My car is stock other than only running map 1? Will the dci help the turbos spool up back at the mid range?

    You need fabric softener for you laundry so your t-shirt collars don't sag. Other than that I appreciate your information though. Thank You!

    What is the noise difference between DCI and standard intake box? I like to keep the car sleeper. Is it quite loud?? Also how often do you have to clean them? Every service interval like 10,000km???

    I am thinking of adding this to my e90 n54 will this help me hear the turbos. As of right now I am nervous about adding a tune and putting more wear on my turbos. I don’t have the funding to replace them if something would happen but I would like to hear them. Thank you

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 6 lety

      Yeah you’ll hear the Turbos more for sure

    • @zachniedfeldt
      @zachniedfeldt Před 5 lety

      I did my own turbos for 1000. And like 20 hours. All shops quoted ~4.4k. Tune it, you won't regret it, the jb4 alone really really wakes it up.

    BMS claims HP increase with filters and NO tune ?
    Would you back this claim up ?
    Thx

      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety +2

      +kokovq Yeah you still get a gain being stock, just nothing "crazy". Add on a tune and it's a big difference

    • @messi13578
      @messi13578 Před 5 lety

      The Tirados guns and football you might be over boosting (if you’re tuned)

    • @wichafroggy
      @wichafroggy Před 5 lety

      @@messi13578 no tune on it. I cleaned the vanos and it's still doing it. I checked the code and it's saying that my 02 sensors are crossed wired post cats.

    • @messi13578
      @messi13578 Před 5 lety

      The Tirados guns and football check the wiring for all 4 of your o2 sensors. Post cat means the 2 o2 sensors that are furthest from the engine after the cats. They are most likely cross wired from wrong installation. Have you recently installed new o2 sensors?

    • @wichafroggy
      @wichafroggy Před 5 lety

      @@messi13578 no I haven't. I bought the car as is. It was running fine until I threw on the dci and it just stated acting up. I'm going to check the wires to the 02 sensors and possibly change them out. Just hate how I can't even pass a car on the freeway with out it going into limp mode the moment you get on it.

    what about heat soak? and also what about if im running map 1are they necessary?

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety

      gabriel garcia The turbos are hot, so heat soak won't really matter anyways on a turbo car with an intake. Now, heat soak will be getting an upgraded intercooler to help with that. Map 1 would be perfect for them. Need those turbos to breathe 😀

    • @GabrielGarcia-kx1qz
      @GabrielGarcia-kx1qz Před 7 lety

      you think getting a chargepipe would be a better investment first before getting the dci?

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety +3

      gabriel garcia DCI first of you're only on map 1. Then do a charge pipe next

    • @GabrielGarcia-kx1qz
      @GabrielGarcia-kx1qz Před 7 lety

      then intercooler?

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety

      gabriel garcia yeah that or do downpipes since there are some great gains there as well. You can't go wrong with modding this car lol

    Hi! I also changed DCI my 335i N54 after that I heard whistle sound from engine, does this filters make this sound, any idea? I also change charge pipe but it doesn't make that sound I think. Your videos are nice and lot of information thanks for them! This little worries me now are those filters make sound like that? I wonder get back OEM where's K&N filter.

    • @DolphinDivingChamp

      No downpipes or anything?? Im pricing out my 335i that im getting in the spring, I really only want 400hp to the wheels because its my daily and I want decent gas mileage, and if your getting 400 basically just with a jb4 and dci than thats what ill do. Is any of this worth it??
      www.cobbtuning.com/products/stage-package/bmw-n54-stage-3-3-series-power-package-w-v3
      I would think you should be at least at 500 hp if you got the stage 3 with jb4 and flash.

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety

      DolphinDivingChamp nope, no downpipes yet! Just tune, DCI, CP-E charge pipe & Forge Diverter valves wth 15-23psi springs. I'm only at that range since I'm usually running an e30/e40 mix and my turbos are easily doing 18psi. If I'm on 93, it will drop down quite a bit, sadly. That e85 does wonders when modded and have the right tune.

    • @chrisshoemate1760
      @chrisshoemate1760 Před 5 lety +1

      Your 328i should only have one intake. The reason there are 2 intakes on the 335i is for both turbos

  • @Omarittoo

      +oommaarr5 You might run into issues with your Turbos not being able to hold more than stock boost. You can always try and see what limitations they have

      BMW Fanatic do BMW put a lot of interest rate on cpo vehicles and for some reason I don't feel like I'm getting a good deal on 37000 mile vehicle for 37000$

    • @BMWFanatic
      @BMWFanatic  Před 7 lety

      Josh The kila they usually up the price a little since the car will cover a 100k mile warranty. You would have to negotiate with them on the price to see how much they can lower it. Every car has wiggle room that a dealer sells.
