Seeing the blood trail from the puppy as it used it's last strength to crawl next to John WRECKS me every time.
Actually that’s not true take a closer look at the position the blood trail is leading and then take a look at the position the puppy is laying down. When a human or animal is bleeding out and they crawl the blood trail will be in the same position as the body.
@Sharron Brennon I don't think you are taking into account the blood trail is from across the room in the direction the puppy was killed at. So I'm pretty sure it must've crawled to him which is incredibly sad and a unique extra detail in the movie.
@@strappedshrapnel4972 i am taking that into account. But if you look at the blood trail it’s running vertical to the dog which is laying horizontal. If the dog had crawled it would be in the same vertical position as the blood trail
@Sharron Brennon I agree that it is angled a little strange considering where the blood trail angle is but I would assume it still crawled there considering there is a blood trail from where the dog was hit. Unless the dude just dragged the dog across the floor until it was face to face with John... which I doubt because the dog is super small
@@strappedshrapnel4972 actually it is more likely that the puppy was dragged. I’ve seen it done before when my mother dragged our blue heeler puppy at the time across the floor by the collar and shoved its nose into the puddle of piss that it peed on the floor moments earlier
This is actually one of those movies that I watched because so many people were reacting to it on YT. The guy who plays Jimmy the Cop at John's house has got to have the best bit role in cinematic history. And the fact that Keanu was pushing 50 when this was made and still put so much effort forth in learning the fight choreography. True legend.
Jimmy and Francis (Kevin Nash) are the Smartest/Loveable Side Characters in the Franchise.....

In the scene with Francis the translation says he lost 60 lbs. It should have been translated to 27 kg, Francis told John that there were 27 men inside so he let Francis live.

First point of note when John pulled the knife into his side at the end of the fight he pulled it into the same spot where he had already been wounded and stitched back up. So he knew there was nothing vital there and it was a safe place for the knife to go and allow him to take possession of it.
Then second point when John took the knife and stabbed it down through the area behind the collarbone but in front of the trapezius muscle. If you ever look a picture of the blood vessels on Google or something like that that run around your collarbone you will see that there is a major artery and blood vessel that comes from the heart and runs right there in between your collarbone and your on the way to your arms. By stabbing down behind the collarbone that way if the knife is about 4 in or longer it should penetrate one of those either vein or artery. If it's an artery you're going to bleed to death even if you leave the knife in if it's the vein you might live for a little while but as soon as you take the knife out you're done. When the bad guy said be seeing you John he did not realize that John already knew the spot where he was stabbed was a safe spot. But he still could have bled out if he did not close the wound

Fun Fact: Bacon grease was placed on Keanu Reeves' face to attract his dog to jump on him when he wakes up in bed.
Action Star Fact: According to Keanu Reeves, he did 90% of his own stunts in the film. Of course, Reeves learned and memorized the nightclub fight sequence the day that the scene was filmed.
Stealth Adaptation Fact: The security guard who waves Wick (Keanu Reeves) onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo (Michael Nyqvist) tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.
The Actress who played John's wife is Brigit Moynahan from "Blue Bloods". She is also the mother of Tom Brady's oldest son, that makes Brady the only one to mess with John's wife/memory and live.... He IS the GOAT!!
The actor who played Iosef is a nice guy irl 😂😂 he adopted Daisy from the caretaker after (or mid) production, because he thought she was super cute and loved her….. this movie is an action masterpiece, everything about it is very well done. The way John Wick can be an absolute badass with a single stare is enough to show that 😅 Love you both…. Zay’s humor is my religion 🫶🏼
What this movie demonstrates though, is that the best way to kill John Wick is from a distance with a sniper's rifle. His friend could have killed him in the hotel. Fortunately no one in the sequels(which are even better than the original)has figured this out.
Take off, and nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
THe original is the best they get worse and worse, by part 4 it was ridiculous garbage. People have no taste anymore.

Besides Theon, Winston (hotel manager) is Brother Ray who takes in the Hound when he’s roaming around in season 6 in GOT.
The special effects at the beginning were the best hahahaha 10/10 for Cam and Zay acting. Also, great reaction guys ! 😊

Zay...I don't mean to wreck anything for you...but the second movie focus's on John's new dog. He trains his dog to use guns and the dog goes on a murder spree killing all the mob's cats. It has some amazing dog and cats fight scenes! Enjoy!!

Very good point about the exposition. I really appreciate how it’s done organically, like Winston reminding John about the Continental rules, but they also let the viewers extrapolate to figure some things out.

The mayhem guy is clearly not the hands-on type. Probably some kind of numbers guy. Him looking at the gun and laughing is because he liked it. Then immediately got shit on.
There was only one round left because Viggo used them up on Marcus.
I figured it was that Avi thought he actually got him, since John jerks violently in reaction to the shot hitting the door. Just being Viggo’s assistant, he probably wasn’t really savvy enough to realize he missed.

Not quite. He does his own fighting. For things like being thrown off the balcony or getting hit by the car, he still uses a stuntman.

I agree with the top tier cinema. SOme movies are great because of the writing, some are great because of the visuals. But this, the writing wasnt overpowering, the visual effects were fitting for every scene, and the music fit every scene very well. Not many movies have music that fits so well. The ones that usually pull it off the best are the ones that have music created specifically for the film.

The gold coins look like South African Krugerrands - they were minted starting in the 60's and were illegal in the US when in the mid-80's Reagan imposed sanction due to the anti-Apartheid sanctions. The coins are 1.09 troy weight and 22 karats. Currently worth about $2000 each they are a cool "Wick world" currency, I think. They are easier to transport and launder than bills and hold their value in all countries.

You should definitely react to the rest of the movies in the series. You'll love them. I've seen 1, 2, and 3, but not 4. They were great action films. Something that ties to the gold coins that were being used for payment. The hotel manager (played by the late Lance Reddick) was named Charon. In mythology, Charon would ferry the dead to the underworld. His fee was gold coins. People would bury the dead with a gold coin. I thought it was kind of cool that they chose that name for that character.

The whole ''last fight'' trope is the only weak point of this film. The moment Vigo said, ''No more guns, John.'' I would've had Wick say, ''Fuck you.'', then double tap him into eternity.
One of my favorite interactions in this movie was inside contintental. "Just rusty i guess" how good was he in his prime if his killing machine was rusty

First of all, you have to know I love this movie when I was sick and had to stay with my daughter the first movie she bought me was this one with the bonus features. I just see one thing that bothers me. Vigo got what he got because he was smart. Why would he send people to John Wick home where he knows every inch I don’t get it at night! Did I miss something?

There is conjecture that John's wife was a veterinarian. She had a dog sent to him. He knew exactly where he could get help for his wounds. He watched the phone video of her right in front of the place he went to for the meds. He picked a dog that was scheduled to be put down. And as he walks away with the new dog he is walking the same route where his wife collapsed in the beginning.

what bothers me most from reactors/reviewers for this and other movies that involve animal injuries or death is the tears shed for the fictitious things happening to animals when there is little reaction (certainly less emotional reaction.) to human deaths and suffering in movies. it
defies logic in that people value animal life more than actual people's life.
