Who wants to bet we find out that the soil around the roots of regular grass actually played a big role in live stock nutritional absorption
I used to dream of growing grass for cattle feed vertically, because empty lands to grow grass are becoming scarce at many cities in my country. Because of that many dairy farmers are suffering. Here now it's already a possible thing. Really cool!
try south dakota, just empty upon empty plain of grass
Thank you! HydroGreen answers your most pressing need; cost-effective animal nutrition you can count on. Innovative controlled environment production allows you to produce quality nutrition 365 days a year.
Old manufacturing plants in the rust belt could easily be converted to vertical farms, growing out feeder pigs, lambs, and kids…. Not to mention what you could do with chickens and rabbits….. but it would be energy dependent….
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ this is a great idea indeed!
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ If the roof of such a facility were completely covered in solar panels, it would make more than enough energy for such a facility. Food is not a problem. Energy is not a problem. The only real problem that humanity faces is those people that hate and or lust for power over other people. That is our real problem. When we as a species learn to respect the liberties of other individuals, then we will have no problems that we can not overcome if we work together.
Even the traditional fodder farming has a lot technological application to it
Excellent. Very informative 👍👍👍 . Thanks for sharing
Thank you dear for sharing your beautiful sprouts 👍❤️🇺🇸
I saw this idea back in 1970's in northern California; road trip. I saw a farmer who had a 20 foot container, with shelves and he did all the labor. Here is my point; As we walked to the pasture several cows walked over to the container and us. The farmer threw some cut grass out to the animals and they began to eat the stuff. As the cows were eating the farmer pulled out a tray of the hydro grass and threw it out to the animals. The animals fought over the hydro feed and left the other grass. Amazing!!! SEED TO FEED IN 7 DAYS.!!!

I want to be an industrial farmer this technique is so helpful.
It's incredible to see how innovative solutions can address real-world challenges. Vertical farming for cattle feed is a brilliant idea, especially in areas where land is limited. These advancements not only contribute to sustainable agriculture but also help support farmers and the dairy industry. Your forward-thinking dreams align with the positive strides being made in agricultural technology. Cheers to cool and impactful solutions! 🌱🐄🚀
Awesome idea!!!
Not talks about cost vs return. This is high in water content and dry weight consume by cattle is relatively low.
Water is collected and reused. Learn more about the design. 70percent less water than land.
Fodder is high in water content. 50% its weight is water. Can't store for long time too and sheep and goats easily get sick. Fodder can be suppliment not replacement for real old straw
@@rezza4801 understood
It's not about the dry weight it's about the rumen and microbiology of the animals gut which is what helps the animal get all it's health benefits. As for cost return you save money because all health problems go away in animals and they achieve health perfection and even though fodder has no dry weight the animals put on more anti oxidant fat and faster then eating the same amount of dry mass in the form of grain.
Yes i agree...but im sure they give dry food to cattle for weight in....

It's not about what you want. It's about what you will have to do if you plan on surviving "The Great Reset".
Homesteading is on the rise. Not farming for profit - farming for sustenance.
The governments have come together to call your breathing (CO2) and farts (methane) pollution.
It does not matter that plants grow best at 2000 PPM CO2, and Earth is actually CO2 deprived at 400 PPM CO2.
The point of climate change is that we humans are pollution, according to the banker's guild.
The bankers want less of us breathing up all the air and crowding all the beaches.
These homestead farmers are the only carbon neutral people on the planet.
If you want to survive the Great Reset, you would be wise to understand what is happening when the government calls breathing and farts pollution.
You're the reason the bankers are doing this. (Looks at you)

This is the real innovation and invention to make better life and not only human and other species in the globe.
Much appreciate it.
Real motivation: Stop eating other animals. Plant based food can be easily grown for all humans. No need to abuse animals
WE CALLED IT IN THE PHILIPPINES, WHEAT GRASS, I BOUGHT SEEDS FROM THE GARDEN, AND PUT IT ON THE TRAY AND WET THE SEEDS. After several days, i put it in a blender including the leaves and roots and drink It ..IT is delicious and nutritious.
They also sell wheatgrass drinks (per glass )at the supermarket. MIXED WITH A LITTLE BIT OF PINEAPPLE. A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT NUTRITIOUS. IT IS ALSO CALLED SUPERFOOD.

I've got a microgreen farm in my garage, but I've grown to dislike using it as the ratio of seed to edible food is too low. Using these methods outside of niche snack food production will bankrupt our seed warehouses which will exacerbate the coming food shortage this fall.
1 кг семян даёт 5 кг зелени
Good point but couldn't you take a few trays and put them in a Hydroponics system with grow lights and grow them to maturity for the seeds
I am curious about the dry matter and protein values of the grown product in the laboratory environment. Also, what do you do to prevent this product from getting moldy?
Well, really good idea for farming.
Amazing
Superb 😍😍😍
Good job
AMAZING !!!
Diktator 😆 kim
Cool! Best part is endless supply of seeds.....from somewhere...😀
How can I calculate the amount of seeds to go to full plant cycle and seed saving?
Since such systems cannot be sustainable unless they save seeds instead of buying them each time to grow animal feed.
The end product will be 7-8 times the weight of the seed. But you need to calculate the initial cost of the system, the extra labour and the extra electricity which wouldn’t be used otherwise.
Grow your own barley for the seeds. A barley farm would have to be incorporated into this in order for it to be more cost efficient

For me I soak in bleach solution for like two hours.
Can it replace the fodders like Alfaalfa and hay bales ?
I was thinking about this just the other day, micro green feed
I wonder it can be used for perennial grasses. Like let the animals chomp on the top and replace it with a new one while it regrow.
amazing...
I'd like to hear what those advantages that were mentioned over regular grass growing on the ground are. And one of the biggest advantages of grazing is that the animal does all the harvesting and much of the fertilizing with no need for machinery or labor. Because I can't see any way that this is a cost effective method to feed grazing animals given the extremely expensive growing structure, manpower requirements, and cost of energy and water vs. the amount of food needed over the life of a grazing animal whether a dairy cow or a sheep; especially when compared to the price of milk and wool. It's very interesting but I don't see any way it's commercially feasible.
And also the seed. It requires lot of seed to makes that fooder
I dont think this should be utilized as a permanent solution year round. It can act as a supplementary add to the diets, this is especially useful in arid climates or to simply keep feeding high end cattle "grass" during winter months in more temperate climates.
Considering a number of limited space of avalible soil and water i think this one is good to use for fooder :/
@@audreandre Cows, sheep and goats can graze in hills and other areas unsuitable for agricultural cultivation. It is not convenient to build houses or infrastructure in the hills either. The conflict of land scarcity is more between residential areas and cultivated fields than with grazing areas.
It looks cool. That's all that matters
Amazing...gretting from Indonesia🇮🇩
The energy bursting from new growth + sprouted grains are more readily digestible than hard grain...
awesome
Вы молодцы
Now the food comes to the cattle and goats\sheep, would this further curtail the grazing time for these farm animals? Would we have captive cattle and goats
What dietary benefit do the animals get from consuming the grains as fodder rather than just feeding them ground grain?
I wonder about your waste in water, do you have a recycling system for it so that your not just constantly pulling new water from a pipe? if so it would help to reduce and save on water cost.
Hydroponics is usually a closed system, so the water gets re-used, I guess. If they’d go for aquaponic, they’d integrate some fishies, to enrich and clean the water…
감사합니다

Where is this farm? Great method!
I’m sure it’s very healthy for the animals but it seems very energy intensive, not to mention expensive. Seems like rotational grazing would be a much cheaper, more sustainable solution?

they looks so fresh that I want to eat them too :'
Where is that farm? Thank you, bro. God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
very innovative, how i wish to know where i can find you for learning about irrigation system and fodder agro-processing
I read some articles that said the fodder does not have enough dry matter for animal use, and it should not be used for the main portion of animal feed, should be used as a complement. Is it true In practice?
The green leaves actually spend the nutrition within the grains since it's not grown in the sun. If you feed the grain directly to the cows, they'll get more nutrition. Fat content will increase within the muscles, not just between.
HydroGreen Healthy Feed is easily digestible for all animals and ensures your animals receive exceptional nutrition every day. Germination and early plant growth within the HydroGreen Grow System enhances nutrients and delivers the best digestibility of any feed on the farm.
Yeah, what I’m considering doing is growing a variety of Fodders and feeding it with grain 2x a day. Then leaving the cattle on pasture with a bale of dry hay that they can always chew on. Best of both worlds.
