  • What NBA Legends And Players Think Of Hakeem Olajuwon
We've heard the names and seen the legends. But, there's one tale that often gets overshadowed in the halls of basketball greatness: Hakeem Olajuwon. What sets The Dream apart is a claim that's very rare. He is arguably the only player in NBA history to secure a championship without another Hall of Famer or future Hall of Famer by his side.
Throughout his illustrious career, Olajuwon commanded respect, admiration, and yes, even fear, from his adversaries. But what did the Titans of basketball truly think of this towering force? Welcome to the Olajuwon Chronicles.
Throughout his illustrious career, Hakeem wasn't just a towering figure on the court but a force to be reckoned with. Even Michael Jordan held Olajuwon in the highest regard. Robert Horry spilled the beans, revealing that MJ, the man himself, had a healthy dose of fear when facing the big African. He said, "If you ask Michael Jordan what one guy he ever feared, it was Hakeem Olajuwon. He used to say 'I'm scared of the big African'."

Nobody complained that Houston picked him over Jordan.... that’s how good Hakeem was

    My top 10:
    1 Jordan
    2 Bird
    3 Olajuwon
    4 Kobe
    5 Magic
    6 Duncan
    7 Kareem
    8 Wilt
    9 Shaq
    10 Moses
Most people undervalued Moses Malone and put him at 12 or 13 but he’s won 3 MVPs and probably the best rebounder ever. Very dominant.
P.S. Russell, Steph, and LeBron are next three.

Never seen him that high up, but fair play. Not having Magic top 4 is criminal though.
Definitely the biggest gap between the top 12 in the same position. That shows how good he was to me.

Doesn't eat or drink during Ramadan and scores 40 points. Machine and Blessed 🙌

In my opinion, the least carried member of the GOAT conversation. Wilt is arguably in there as well.

Do you think Curry would be top 5 if he gets another chip?

Steph doesn't play both sides of the ball. He can't go top 5. His peak is top 8.

You know Tim Duncan is 5-1 on NBA Finals championship not 5-2 👀🤔✅

@albarrera8727 He also thinks 2-0 in the finals is better than 7-2. But worse than 5-2, wouldn't bother questioning too much 😅. The numbers he put don't mean shit except for LeBron.

      Russell is 11-2, I believe.
