    Excellent comparison there mate. U50 has grown on me over the years. Probs the best model decision Sinn has made since a long time.

    Recently fell completely in love with Sinn. The U1 and the 857 are sublime! I've had to make myself a homage to the 857 until I'm able to get my hands on the real one.

    +1 on u50 tegimented. Hard to undo the Lego hands once you get used to them. And if I were truly getting a T50 I think I would go for the bronze.

    Just took delivery of my new U50 Hydro + Tegiment, have it less than 2 days. It has the dial and handset of that lovely T50 in the U50 case. I loved the UX but it was too big for my wrist, the U50 Hydro wears great. Maybe you'll have a review at some stage.

    Hi Barry this was inspired! Both are excellent, and I think that the T50 is a better watch than the U50. I am mindful though that for the price of a T50 you can buy a U50 plus a nice bike, or a U50 plus a discounted Yema if bikes ain't your thing... Thanks Barry, LG Bob 🍻

      @@gregswatches I did, it’s good, new clasp finally!! But I have to say the price just shocked me, I mean they’re a different category of watch but that’s GS quartz price, also for a $500-1000 less you may get a top tier Citizen (most accurate quartz movement) whose dial and case finish (Sallaz/zaratsu) is not much worse than the GS, makes me wonder if Sinn’s marketing is being well advised about their production/price mix?
      Also, they’ve been making oil filled cases for a while , what’s with trying to sound like a Bond villain organisation ?! 😂

    Great review! The T50 reminds me a bit of my T1B which I love. The T1B is a larger case but has a nice cushion case design... and the Ti makes it wear very nice! The lume on my T1 is very nice... best Sinn lume I've had... several U1's.

    Great comparison, as usual. For me, who is really into Sinn, this is a treat. I do like the T50, but I think the price point is too high vs. a U50, anti-humidity technology and titanium notwithstanding. At similar specs (on bracelet, without Tegiment), the T50 is > EUR 3,300 where the U50 is < EUR 2,200. A 50% difference is too steep for the extra features. 20-30% would have been more reasonable. The difference is even steeper with an EZM 3 (< EUR 2,000), for basically just the titanium vs. standard 316L. I also understand what Sinn was going for with this monochromatic look, but I feel a dash of color (blue, or perhaps yellow) would have enhanced the overall presentation.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 3 měsíci

      Either model I'd happily like in my collection. The good thing with the U50 is I can service it myself were the T50 has to be sent to Sinn because of the AR system

    • @johnnyguitar6697
      @johnnyguitar6697 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@ClickSpringReview You're right about that, though I'm sure that even if the copper sulfide capsule wasn't changed, it would still be functional. All of the other dive watches which don't have this technology are. Also, I do like that Sinn uses generic movements, which will keep the cost of servicing down. A factor overlooked by movement snobs who insist on in-house / manufacture movements. For a sports watch which is actually used for sports, give me an ETA / Sellita over an in-house caliber any day.

    Both are great and really appreciate the U50 setting an example for all the other bloated dive watches out there as a competent dive watch that can be under 12mm thick. I’m currently saving for a T50 GBDR but might get diverted to a U50 Hydro if I’m not careful 😂. One thing I noticed is the difference in the crystals: the T50 looks like it’s some sort of single dome sapphire which creates a distortion whereas the U50 is flat.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 3 měsíci

    I wonder if the new U50 HYDRO will cannabalise UX sales. That said, I love the U50 hands.

    • @1millionstartups
      @1millionstartups Před 3 měsíci +1

      I got my hands on both (UX and u50 hydro). I have a 7.5" wrist and u50 hydro fits prefectly (and on smaller wrist). UX was designed for specific tasks and occupations where I can see them worn outside of uniforms or protective gears. So u50 hydro might sway someone like me who don't plan to weld underwater or shoot high caliber weapons, but for people who do, or want that look/cred UX is still the biggest baddest.
      And I do have u50s and didn't love its Lego hands initially. Once grown I can't imagine diving/swimming with anything else. Same goes for the cheap feeling but reliable h link bracelet.
