    from Sinn operating manual
As the watch is filled with a liquid, please only
have the battery replaced by our customer service centre in Frankfurt

Seriously drooling over this one. If I didnt have the U50 I'd probably pulled the trigger already. :)

As the owner of a couple of Sinns, I'd buy this in a heartbeat if the hands were 'lego' and not like on the UX S.

Meanwhile there is another group of us waiting for a mechanical sub steel U50 with the sword hands, so we can finally buy one. I swear they should just let us choose between the two handsets for their divers. They'd sell so many more.

Same here, I would have bought this watch instantly with the straight? Lego? hands like on the Mechanical version

Nah Lego looks cheap, these are far better and more legible

Man a solar quartz would take the cake

Wonder if the solar tech would work with the oil filled dial

Can't see why not, the light is passing right through. Providing the oil didn't degrade the panel in some way like the old oil used to with dials.

What’s the longevity of the battery? Would you have to send it back to the dealer to have it changed because of the oil?

The first person who commented already answered that question. The answer is: apparently, yes.

Sinn probably is the most innovative watch brand in the world.

  • @nishiki393

    FYI, per Gemini:
The watch brand Sinn is pronounced like "sin" in English. However, it's worth noting that some people pronounce it with a soft "z" sound, like "zinn," which is closer to the original German pronunciation.

Love Sinn - but it wil take more than an oil filled quartz watch to spend an enormous amount of money- too gimmicky

$2500-$3k for a quartz Sinn. Nope!

I hate courts watches. Who wants to worry about having to change batteries every three years. Specially in a liquid filled watch that you have to send back to the factory.

  • @Jungleman707

I would like Sinn to remove seconds hands on their quartz watches because they have the giveaway and annoying tick of quartz and not the sweep of an automatic.

    Quartz. No.
