Casual Crono Upgrades his Another Eden Team! July 2024 Edition

The last major upgrade I did was back in March. Three+ months later, I farmed up the chants to do another round. This time with a lot of the Alter crew! I tried to focus on beefing up one of my stronger units (Xianhua) as well as addressing two of my elemental weaknesses (water and earth), as well as a few "just for funsies" upgrades as well. It's a game, might as well enjoy it, right?
Hopefully some of these upgrades will allow me to do more of the character development videos you've been requesting, as well as give me a decent earth team, water team, and proper Xianhua support! Now to grind out character quests...

Those are some nice sidegrades you got there. I love using depressed Dewey. Not only does he look like he stepped out of the anime Akira (anime set in a dystopian world, like A!Dewey's), his support skills are really good. I really like the passive where Awakened Zone lasts another 2 turns and where he has Kaleido much like Necoco or Alma. I really want to get A!Ilulu just for the catto sidekick, but the grind is frustrating. I'm eternally stuck at 2 Thanatos Opus and cannot get the last one to drop.
Myunfa is pronounced "Mewn-fa". You know, it rhymes like Mewtwo in Pokemon. I hope that helps.
Kind of off topic here, but can you do a character review of the Octopath units, Mage Cyrus, Partitio, and Tithi? Out of the three, Mage Cyrus seems to be the most useful. Also, a segment you could do is something like, "Does this unit need Stellar Awakening?" (if the unit has SA). You could rank it on a 3 point scale where 3 means SA is necessary (Cerius and Wenefica fall under this category), 2 means SA is not needed, but SA makes the character stronger to use (I guess, ES Thillelille would fall under this category) and 1 means SA doesn't do much for this unit.

Akira was one of my first animes, along with Vampire Hunter D and Fist of the North Star! And yeah, I realized I misprounced Myunfa the whole time...for whatever reason I was visualizing Myfuna and saying that instead.
Of the three Octopath units, I've used Partitio the most. I like trying to use free, accessible characters when I do my "mid-game" teams, and he can perform basic tanking duties. I really haven't used Cyrus or Tithi much, but I do like how Cyrus can freely switch between three elements. I figure a Cyrus and Necoco AS (or similar) combo could be fun to cheese some encounters. If I did a character review, I might begin with Partitio first due to familiarity, but I can certainly try. I was reviewing the request list from my video and a few people want more free characters done, along with common ones like Prai (whose name I also misprounced for years until I heard Thille say it).
I like the "do they need SA" idea. My busiest time of year is coming up; this fall I tend to work 80+ hours a week so maybe I can try doing something like that for my next New Year's resolution. The other flip side is that I don't have all the SA characters, so a lot of my commentary would likely be based on guesswork and what others say here and on reddit, so I might have to stick with who I have to start with. It's a great idea, and one I think could be fun, so who knows, I might play around with it a bit this summer. Or I incorporate an SA section in my character development videos. If you watch my Alma AS video, towards the end I focused a portion to her stellar skill whereas in my other videos, I blended their skills in. Maybe I just need to single out that skill more like how I did with Alma?
