Kobe was coming off his devastating injury the previous season but he couldn't play like how he used to despite thinking he still can. Lin was working with Kobe on how to improve the team but Kobe was stubborn and wanted to just do everything himself despite playing terrible. Actually when Lin (on fire, like his 2nd? start) went to Lakers home and destroyed Kobe, I don’t think Kobe forgave Jermey for that, since he embarrassed Kobe in that game. Of course that’s my opinion. Look how Kobe was acting when Jeremy got to the Lakers. But maybe Kobe meant well. This video shows they had disagreements in how to play. But Lin’s style seemed like eventually teams were not going to let him get to the rim with out physicality. I think Kobe is the only player Lin had arguments with. Funny finding myself watching this video at this time, 10 years after Linsanity, and with Kobe already gone, and Jeremy now playing in CBA. I am a fan of both players and love them so much! Knowing not much about basketball but I think the action of Kobe here is just purely out of critical thinking as a player and not for personal reason or jealousy. The time is 4th quarter, 12 seconds left and the score was 106 to 105 in favor of the opponent. That is why he goes for the foul so that even if the opponent gets the 2 points free throw, Lakers have the chance to shoot the ball for the remaining seconds and make sure to get a 3 points shoot which will be a tie and overtime, right? That was a crucial time for Lakers and maybe Jeremy was just waiting for the coach instruction and Kobe was crying out foul foul. When Jeremy did not do anything, he proceeded to run to get a foul. That's my honest opinion on this video. I did not see the whole game but I think that was the case in this video. Not jealousy or poor treatment on Jeremy. Kobe just made a very critical decision on that very crucial moment. What happened at the end of this game, by the way?
