Here's another tip you'll like: Cut a sheet of 5/8" plywood to fit your pickup box between the wheel wells, and long enough to cover the full length of your bed with the tailgate up. Rectangle shaped, no cut-outs for the wheel wells. Lay it in your box on top of your nylon box liner ribs. You'll find many uses.
The plywood slides on the nylon ribs (of the box liner) like roller bearings and makes a manual dump-box when you slide it out. Very, very useful. Loading a fridge (or similar item)? Slide the plywood out enough so it tips onto the ground then just tilt the fridge to rest against the plywood. Pick up the bottom of the fridge & slide the plywood sheet in with the fridge on it. I leave that plywood sheet in my truck all the time so I'm always ready.

You mean the fridge will lay down while being transported?

I like the first part of the video with the planks and pulleys...lifting a "DRYER" from the steps of the home, then it advances to show lifting a washer in to the pickup...that's kind of deceptive as a washer is MUCH heavier than a dryer.

You could speed this up and we still get it. Good techniques but would be done in a fraction of the time with two people!

Get furniture pads, put on bed of truck, angle and slide it on. Don't even bother with the wood.

I believe using a dolly would've been a lot easier.

Hey Stephan , go to harbor freight and buy a dolly for $ 30. and pull your washer step by step until you get into the top and its a wrap. Your ( 3 ) 2x 6 x 8 board cost about $12 /* each . at home depot that will save you $ 6 bucks plus your back . have a nice day

put a dent in the side of the appliance when you put the entire weight of it on the corner of the ramp board.

Legs First, this you don't scratch the side of your dryer scratch the crap out of it. Another helpful hint be friendly with your neighbor and get a second set of hands and just carry it up and put it up there

No thanks. With the $500 it would take to fix my back I could have bought a $200 appliance dolly and saved $300. Or, just called a junk guy to pick it up for free.....

@@Siravoeatz How does one tell from the outside that a back is fine? Come on, use that IQ of 3 that you have. Don't make yourself look bad. I make 6 figures (before taxes) selling washers and dryers as a 1 man band (retirement business to keep busy), I deliver 30 sets a month and never lift 1 washer or dryer.
Sucks to be me? I doubt you have half as good of a life as I have. Great wife (never an argument), great grandson that lives with us only because he loves the school district, great family relations with hers and my family, enough money to do what we want, when we want and some of the best friends in the world (although they are dying as we get older). I'm trying to think of something bad in my life and I guess the worst thing is, replying to you. So if you are the worst thing in my life.... you tell me, is that bad or good?

@Stephen Paddock Enjoy that office. I was never a company man, I don't like being told what to do like most others. I was always the type that made $500 while I was still asleep and before most got to their J.O.B.'s each day. Driving back and forth and following rules of the business..... yeah, sounds fun.....
