I've owned my current DS since 1986, it makes me smile when small kids tug on their grown-up's sleeve pointing in amazement as we pass.

I had a friend when I was 13, in Salem, Oregon, who’s father had a 1962 DS. We were polite juvenile delinquents and competent drivers, so we took the car out when ever his parents were out, at night of course.Even at that age I knew what a special, unique work of artist it was. The most comfortable ride to this day. The seats where perfect and my greatest joy, the inimitable, one arm, floating steering wheel. That sealed the deal, my favorite automobile, ever, period….I am 75 and have driven hundreds of thousands of miles in all kinds of conditions in every make and model , trucks, cars, tanks, you name it. The DS Citroen is the best of the best….cheers…

My first car 🚗 in Australia was an 1962 ID19... I progressed thru to DS21 & DS23 EFIs and a new CX Prestige 2400 EFI in 1978.
Totally addicted... Nothing Moves You Like a Citroen.
    I have owned 3 X 2CV6s from new.
    Rare in Australia.. Huge fun.

I have loved them since I was a kid. I have now had a GS, two Xantias and now a C5.
Still unique and sad to see the demise of the Hydraulic systems that were inherent in their revolutionary design. Long live such innovative thinking which is somewhat missing in some modern designs.

Quentin my first sight of a Citroen was a light 15 of late 40s vintage, it was biege and I fell in love with the margue. To me they are quirky but at the sametime mesmerising even better still when you own a few in your life, I had the Lt 15 Slough built model then came a GS of which I owned 4 and a GSA, then an ID 19 safari, onwards to the BX 2 of those and then 2 Xantia, I am still in love so maybe one day I may chance an XM who knows

This can be a reply to all these comments... My dad bought a D Super 5 (5 speed) in 1971/72... Why not lobby Stellantis (buyer of PSA/Citroen) to introduce this retro car icon, after all the Mini was a huge success for BMW! And this car is way out on it's own, futuristic, style that totally still holds up and intrigues... They're sitting on an amazing investment and they seem to not even know it!!

Pity it never got the Flat 6 which turned out to be heavy and underpowered.

I've got mine 1970 DS in Sep 2021 from Holland. The car is hugely popular over there, most of the owners are very cool ordinary and easy going. Not like the very typical british posh owners in this video, all acting like wankers in my opinion, ruining the point of the car.

Like he said, not many Brits bought them as they were expensive for what they were, so only 'toffs' would be seen in them. Now the DS has become a much sought after classic the world over. Great cars for sure.

I always thought they should have a "Hoover" or "Kirby" nameplate somewhere on the body and a long hose attached to it's tailpipe!..... ;-)

Actually, reliable and economical plus vastly superior to other cars.
      I owned 7 x ID/DS and 17 Citroens over 51 years.
A badly serviced DS was terrible.
A well serviced DS was incredible.
Only time one ever let me down was a DS21 EFI where the rear fuel filter had never been replaced and blocked up. The car was starving for fuel and would not go up hills..
