Yeah, great tip about the personalised settings. I have a basic shape and team instructions but do mix up the individual roles, so thanks! AND the swap positions! That was always in the tactics screen in older versions, but I thought it had disappeared.
Well after years of playing FM, I knew 2 of the 5
My favorite thing to do when playing in lower leagues is to get players on trial. If they aren't at a club some clubs will even let you take their player on a trial. Take them on for 4 weeks. This way you don't have to scout them. This is good as you don't need to pay and your scout in the lower league may not be very good. Also, you can ask your Director of football to recommend players out of contract.
In the lower leagues, I rarely buy players. Unless they are going to be a superstar in your team

Good tips! Regarding changing playing time, you can also do it from the right-click context menu for the player. Right-click and select Squad > Agreed Playing Time.

Did not know about #5 which I can see myself using in the future. A quick one off the top of my head is: Training>Coaches>Edit Coaching Assignments. In here you can balance your coaches skills and roles to get the best out of them and develop your players better.
some great tips there, all 5 I didn't know and I've been playing since god knows when.
Even if I know most of these it's still nice to have a refresher course

@@fmscout Yeah, I thought everyone would. The swap positions used to be better a few years ago when you could swap players with other players who you already had set to swap with soeone else, if you know what I mean lol but for some reason they stopped that option a couple of versions ago I think it was
No it isn't. SI are adding features all the time but don't always showcase them.
300 hours, 10 seasons in to 24, I didn’t know about the replace player 😂 I tried not to overwhelm myself when I started so I’ve been delving into new sections etc each season, this will be handy
