James Wiseman has had a really tough first few years in the NBA but he’s healthy now and Warrior fans are excited. People aren’t talking about the huge step he made to regain his confidence but if it works, the Warriors have a huge decision to make for their future.

Being honest and responsible about your mental health is accountability at its best. When you tell people what your difficulties are, they'll know how to help you. For me it was the decision to share with my teammates the fact i have been diagnosed with high functioning autism (Asperger's). It was after a bad practice, which lack of communication almost got me into a very dangerous situation (small skinny cornerback in an Oklahoma drill) everyone in the team really appreciated it, and i really developed since then.

It's actually better that no one is talking about it. He's got so much potential and more than that, seems like this tuff period was meant to happen, now his potential could be even higher. I'm cheering for him.

Wiseman during draft day said he dreams of owning Food Franchises country wide and displayed he's learned Chinese-Mandarin to adjust to the future business climate. At 19 Years old. Opening up about his mental health struggles does not surprise me given a proven track record of maturity and foresight.
I doubt James Wiseman speaks fluent mandarin. It’s one of those exaggerations that has gone too far.

@@andysauro1500 he was asked by Bob Myers to speak mandarin, he wasn’t responding to someone in Mandarin. You listen to what he says(and translate it) and tell me that sounds like a fluent speaker of a language. We’ve never seen him respond to someone in Mandarin.

Warriors got Jokic’s old coach, Dejan Milojevic, for his development. I think that is something people overlook, he’s been working with him for over a year now.

Wiseman is a 'wise' young man...hearing such profound words from a 20-year old, accepting his vulnerabilities--in a mental struggle--was surprising from all other much older NBA athletes. Gush, this player is truly something! He is so honest about his feelings and has strong sense of direction in his path to make it big. GGW is surely lucky to draft him, patiently taking him to its wings to develop into a strong force to winning another championship. And, there are other young ones in their bench similar to Wiseman like Kuminga. Watch out NBA for these young warriors!🤪🔥👏🏆
As a therapist this makes me happy. Let’s keep de-stigmatizing things not needing to be “so bad” before reaching out. Therapy is for anyone that wants it or is willing to, etc. (ofc there’s insurance, money factors, etc. too). Hope Wiseman has a wonderful and healthy season, adjusts well. I can’t imagine how hard it was for him psychologically although I’ve dealt and been dealing with my own injuries over the years and it’s been indescribably challenging for me as a non professional athlete

That’s really epic how James wiseman was able to over come the difficultly of depression. I am happy for him and I would like to see him dominate this year and develop to a scary player.

I hope someone can take the pay cut, if anyone it should be Klay or Dray imo.
I mean Klay got paid in full for 2 seasons while he was injured. I understand that these contracts are another symbol of respect, the better player you are the more money you get. But I hope they realize that they have all the tools to do another 3-peat, and they don’t get blinded by the money.

For all his physical abilities it sounds like Wiseman's most important trait is mental strength. I'm so stoked the front office didn't trade him as his potent upside is ridiculous.
That is such a great story about Wiseman. I hope he reaches his potential. He seems like a very good guy and smart too. I think Draymond is gone. There are reports that he just punched or took a swing at Jordan Poole.
Really cool video! People are always boom or bust - Wiseman is a really good prospect, and it is possible that he'll become an all-star player. What the fans don't always realize, is that Lamelo e.g., though extremely talented, is not in an optimal position for development - he is an amazing scorer and a passer, but that's probably him - if he would've been drafted to a good system like Kawhi/Giannis, he might've had a higher ceiling. Dlo is a prime example of how a player can be an all-star lead a bad roster to the playoff, and be the 4th option eventually

You're exactly correct, but I believe Wiseman will be an all-star in 3 or 4 years. Oh, by the way Green will be the odd man out. Lacob not paying Draymond, he can still get a good player with Green's money with a lot smaller tax bill.

This is why the warriors are the greatest dynasty outside of the spurs. They build through the draft. Outside of the kd signing. They build future hall of famers and players with bright futures
rumor has it- next summer the cba will opt to not tax luxury teams for signing their own drafted players. This would help the warriors a lot. Since all of their big contracts are guys they drafted except wiggins. Warriors would have no problem maxing out all of their own picks. It also means that a team trying to sign players off another teams roster would have to pay a lot more for them- as they would get taxed.

Wiseman scored 12 ppg as a 19 yr old rookie at a nearly extinct position. He seemed to have failed the eye test (defense, 3pt shooting?) when that made no sense for a 19 yr old. His injury last year keeping him out all season, now that was worth talking about since it wasn't supposed to - but, all the negative Wiseman talk was there mid-way through his first season in the nba as a 19 yr old scoring 12 ppg as a center. Centers have made the all star game with less. I figured all along that since the talk wasn't initially warranted, and since it's clear the Warriors need a center, people were doubling down to join a crowd and glad to not be proved wrong for a while.
As the warriors big three gets older, and the younger guys get more minutes, the warriors are going to look dangerous.
I watch your show because I respect your opinion but the East is too new to have predictions. A lot has happened to change the Eastern Conference.

Looney will be better as a David west type bench player in the future. He's a lights out offensive rebounder and good finisher around the basket as well as defender. Give him 20-25 min a night and you have a good supporter behind Wiseman.... eventually

Remarkable that these multimillionaires are still affected by things that affect all of us. Just remarkable. I just have to think about this some. Things are not what they appear.
Players have to be careful when they talk to media and what they say about issues they are dealing with or suffering from because there will most definitely be players, media, and fans of other teams that will try to use it against them. Saying what he did opens the door for how to get in his head during a game in an attempt to get him to overreact to take him out of his game and possibly get him kicked out if that game. Like it or not that's part of sports at every level. Let's just hope he has matured beyond his years and has moved beyond petty tactics.

If you listened to the story he was only depressed cause he was injured and couldn’t help his team win a title any top 3 draft pick would be depressed that they couldn’t help there team win the chip because of an injury so I don’t think he has it anymore since he’s healthy and playing
Did you even watch the interview? He was depressed from being in rehab, not because he was playing poorly. So no, it doesn't open the door for how to get in his head. Unless you're saying others will purposely try to injure him.
