The band interactions are especially fun and it’s one of those songs that Tuomas decided to have Tarja sing really really fast. Yukka is a madman on the drums, Emppu is particularly playful and the joy on Tuomas face is especially endearing. A highly energetic tune. Thanks for the reaction!

I love how as soon as Tarja starts singing here, you focus instantly. Like "Now I'm listening!"😄 I love Emppu's energy on this one! (well, he is often quite energetic) And Tarja's voice truly is magical. Thank you for the reaction!! And I hope you'll also check out their stuff outside of NW... pretty much all of them have something out side of Nightwish. Tarja with her almost 20 years solo career, Marko's few other bands (like Tarot) and his solo album (pyre of the black heart), Floor's solo work (the Paragon album...) and her earlier bands After Forever and ReVAmp....... I know you have already heard some of these things, and yes there are a lot, but take your time. :)

He perfectly understands all strengths of girls' vocals. For Tarja, for example, he often used some of unique features of her voice. Tuomas often included vocalizes in songs of first era, because Tarja can sing them perfectly (for example in this song instead of chorus there is a wonderful vocalize), he also understood that Tarja's voice sounds incredible without music - a cappella (for example in this song you can hear it, and in song Bless the child) and he often used this skill of Tarja. And also with help of Tarja's vocals a choral sound was created. In first albums, when album budget was low and orchestra and choir were not involved yet, Tarja's vocals replaced choir. In other words, Tuomas made full use of Tarja's skills in choral and church singing, which she had acquired during her studies at Sibelius Academy.

This is my favourite Nightwish song with its simple but profound lyrics. Tarja's voice is indeed magical here in which she gives a 'fun' performance of the song. However it is Floor's Buenos Aires version that really projects the emotion and awe of this song for me.
