Is VN595160 like yours ? Black with white one ply guard. It's my daughters BFs that sits in my room near my guitars. It's heavier than my classic vibe and Mexican strat. It's rosewood. I like the neck. The tuners identical to yours. Probably ceramic pups and plastic switch. The guitar is in need of set up. I might see if he wants me to get it playable. I am just learning more about these. As I was drumming many many years I always picked up and played many guitars and keys in bands during rehearsal breaks. Always loved the strats. I think he picked it up as a thrift store here in US. Probably didn't pay much. Don't think he really plays but it's bridge it's ultra high floating. Like a half inch off the body. Hahahahahah. If I had it I would build it up. Buy a better bridge and tuners and pickguard I have a extra tortoise loaded with 500k pots and cloth wired ceramics. Sss. Not sure who made them but the covers are black and say mighty Mite. However I cannot find any online. They are looking like same 2 bar magnets on the single coils but cloth black and white wires. Lol. They sound incredible though. Very strong.
It really has a nice jangly clean sound!
I have a 93 VN. Same color. I replaced the pickups with Fender Lace pickups for the same era.
