Lol I have the exact same guitar. Played one 35+ years ago in highschool. They wouldn't sell it to me when I went back to see them 20 years later but they still had it ! I learned to play on the Bullet guitar. every morning an hour before school started, our music teacher would let me into the music room to practice. That was back in the very early 1990's. I poured my heart out to the school to sell it to me but it didn't happen. I found a guy selling one online,, I jumped on it (nostalgia I suppose at the time lol) It doesnt get played much these days but it's definitely a great guitar and the build quality is awesome. they're definitely going to go up in value !!! Mine is black as was the one I played with in highschool,, so for me,,, 35 years later it was a something I had to jump on ! Keep rock'n & enjoy it,,, these things never go out of tune lol, and the pickups are surprisingly great sounding) Very versatile guitar with what seems to be a slightly smaller neck, frets and body size if I'm not mistaken. After seeing your video, I think I'll go p put it in its case for storage rather than on its stand in the basement lol. Thanks for the video !

I dont bother with a dedicated boost pedal, I use an EQ pedal with flat settings for a simple boost and if I want certain frequencies to shine then I increase those. I haven't found anything yet that can beat The Rat for my guitar style.

hi, i picked up S9 series in vintage white, bit on the heavy side too, the neck is the best ever neck i have ever put my hands on, the tremolo is amazing, first time i play fender tremolo, what a difference from wilkinsons. omg

Can someone please unscrew one of their tuning pegs and loosen it and tell me if it has a bit of wiggle room in the head stock hole? I'm puting mine back together and noticed the diameter of the tuners seem a hair small for the holes, bit of play I'm concerned if is proper......

hello mate, what you think of the s series made in Korea, i cant find any specs information online. its one of those with golden logo and black and gold sticker at the heel. they seem really nice. are they solid wood bodies?. thanks for the videos

Do you still own this MIJ Henk Marvin signature strat? How does it compare to other more recent Fender strats, like the Vintera line? I have the chance to pick one up, with upgraded Kinman pickups. But off course, it come at a premium price, and I dont want to over pay..

It's good that you're getting it refretted. Hang onto that guitar if you love it, and as you said, it's worth it to you so that's all that matters.

I used to have one of the full-sized ones years ago but sold it and bought a Way Huge Saffron Squeeze. The Dyna Comp is a good thing, though. It just wasn't for me.

I bought the same guitar in the 90´s , 50 anniversary, Golden logo, serial CN ... ,Cort factory, Korean, At that period the famous Blackie Clapton Strat was noticed especial when he won the Grammy with the song Bad Love and the same year He made The world Touring called Journeyman beggining in my Country CHILE, after he made 24 Nights at The Royal Albert Hall, the Show in Santiago de Chile was AMAZING one of the best that i known of Him, check in CZcams, and was the first time that I saw a strat with Gold Lace Sensors pups, so I Put the Gold Lace Sensors but only with a TBX, treble bass expander. Believe me I had many years of delighting pleasure, everybody telling me how Good sound the Guitar. In 2012 I bought a 50´s Clasic Vibe , very good guitar but not the same level of the Korean and after a while I made an upgrade in the Blackie, I installed fender vintage tuners, leaving only one string Tree, a Fender vintage bridge with a more solid steel block, 250 K CTS pots, and Texmex pups. Now trought my 68 Custom Twin Reverb and my Blues Deluxe with an Eminence The Wizard Speaker has the TONE of a 54 or 56 Vintage strat costing 30- 40 thoundsands dollars, I´m not joking, I also have a Fender 60 Roadworn strat with Toneriders Vintage Pups and the same . the Tone is like that Vintages costing a FORTUNE. Resume . a guitar is good , well made or not, A Squier can be better than a Fender, UPGRADE, UPGRADE IS THE ANSWER. Greetings.

Interesting. I'd definitely try one of these out if I had the chance. It really adds a fullness to the sound without significantly changing the guitar's original characteristics.

I bought a new Fender Player HSS strat back in 2020 during covid. It is the Player plus top aged cherry. The saddles on your guitar look like thwy have been upgraded maybe. They are really nice guitars!

Yep. I have a 1989 S9 MIK. Had it since new. Great neck. Also have a 1985 A Series MIJ Squire. Under rated in the day but they're starting to be recognised as great feeling guitars.

@Lost Groove music, man with your playing skills you want to get yourself a nice Marshall or a Fender valve combo or get both over time and use your pedals especially when you're playing live. Sell some guitars and get a nice amp!

Im looking to buy this but it doesnt have recording at home option like katana or something, and the interface of its tone studio is quite 2000s. I like the tone and versatility of this vox amp but im worried if i get one right now a newer version might come very soon as it has been 8 years since since was released... any advice?

Definitely not the original paint or bridge. I have an S9 in Dakota Red. Its a deeper, more glossy red. The bridge is stamped Fender.

I have a 93 VN. Same color. I replaced the pickups with Fender Lace pickups for the same era.

It really has a nice jangly clean sound!

This is a really good demonstration of what the guitar can do, and I'm pleased you got the guitar back. Everyone really does like different stuff when it comes to guitars, and - as you've said - all of it is ok.

I have a red one just the same. I love the neck. The body on mine has a couple of deep surface cracks, but they haven’t worsened in the 4 years that I’ve had it. The pots all need changing, but apart from that it plays beautifully - I still prefer it to my Vintera Strat.

Just doing some work on one of these today. Exactly like the one in your video, serial no E719628. Body is a decent weight, neck is beautiful. Just replacing the saddles with some Graph Tech ones as the originals were the pressed metal type and the height adjusters were too tall making palm muting a pain.

I have an 89/90 too - definitely plywood and highly acoustically resonant, with a great neck - as you say!
