Let's just take a moment to appreciate that the animators knew how an AR platform generally works and had Miko pull the charging handle instead of do something silly like press the failure button.

Witg it being Japan they probably used an airsoft gun to model it. This would explain why the movement is so detailed and why when the charging handle is pulled back the bolt only slightly opened.
