This is the only movie I watch when I've lost my way. Some turn to religion, other people, books, therapy, alcohol, drugs, etc.. sometimes I just watch this movie and cry. Wall-E and Her are the only romance stories I’ve ever enjoyed.
One of my favorite moments in this film is when the Captain looks at EVA's memory's, expecting to see the planet as it's shown on his screens only to realize its dead. That little moment that reality crashes into him and he says, "Our home is in trouble". Something about that really made me realize how important it was for him to get home. Something else I realized about this movie was that there were shown to be other ships carrying people out, with the Axium being just one. This honestly leaves me a little uneasy thinking that now the planet is healing with people on it, only for many of them to be out continuing on.
I think there's symbolism in that. How many people just wander through life, and how few actually work to make a difference? I once heard this quote: "Some men simply live in the shade of their olive trees, others...change the world". It's unfortunate how few want to actually better the world for others.
I have a theory: may be after the People came back to the earth to heal it they sent a plants for every ship out there

This movie stuck with me for numerous reasons. The simplistic story, the gorgeous animation, the great cast of characters, and so much more.
I absolutely love the first half of the movie because it’s there’s little to no dialogue to explain the story. It’s mostly visual storytelling and I love that type of narrative. There aren’t that many films out there(at least any that are mainstream) that can tell a story without any dialogue. I wish there were more movies like that. As for the second half, I did enjoy it, but I just wish it didn’t have much dialogue and continue with its storytelling like it did in the beginning.
This is what made me adore Walle as a whole.
Mad max
Metalguy40 yes..
Just thought of something amazing:
The idea that the first half is so beautiful when it’s two quiet robots falling in love in a futuristic earth, then the humans are introduced; loud, expressive, and very contrary to the quiet robots.
Just this watched again yesterday. I never realized how amazing this movie was. It accomplished so much and had really deep themes for a rated G movie.
Can I just point out that Wall-E’s startup sound is the exact sound used by a Mac.

I literally just watched this movie and I LOVED IT. The way Wall-E says Eeva. It's just wholesome. oh and Wall-E is definitely the cutest robot I've ever seen. A robot with emotions
Notice how the humans in the starship are supposed to rush back to Earth as quickly as possible _as soon as_ the first, tiniest piece of plant life is discovered? When humans destroyed the planet so quickly in the first place? Instead of only coming back to the planet after _a lot_ of plant life has come back, nooooo, they _have_ to come back once discovering just the tiniest growing flower or tree?
Think about it for a second.
I think they left to begin with because plants couldn't even exist before they left? Idk, that's just my interpretation.
They returned in a self contained colony ship disguised as a cruise liner. The humans didn't have to immediately put the pressure of their demands on the fragile ecology, the ship had run in a stable loop for 700 years and was still in good working order, and population control was in effect. They could wait for their robotic workforce to finish the cleanup, build infrastructure and accelerate ecological development before any of them had to live permanently on Earth. They could bring selected humans up to speed on the sciences and create a human directed robot economy that could supercharge ecological recovery. That, and they have an emormous amount of natural resources out there to build infrastructure with -- the massive trash piles full of recyclable scrap.
Probably for the first generation, Earth was a place to go exploring in, and then go back to the ship. The Captain would spearhead cleanup efforts with the help of the robots and a few willing humans, and try to expand earth's capability to sutain life. Maybe they'd even get the overall WALL-E project back on track and adapt it into a trash sorting and recycling effort.
Besides walle, the captain is my second favorite character, hes just so charming. He may be fat and spoiled, but as a human he has the nature to break free of the bonds of technology and be something greater.
“I don’t want to survive I want to live” I not sure if that’s what he says exactly. Either way your point is valid.
How about about little ol' Mo? He was like "I'm going to track down and clean that filthy metal crate even if I have to cross this whole freakin mega-spaceship to do it!" The little man-er, robot-was the definition of dedication to one's job!

I knew I was right to love this movie as a kid. When I was young I had a tendency to like any (and I mean ANY) new kids movie I was. I could describe months in my life through what new movie I saw. During a year of elementary school I was in a Despicable Me phase, the next year Bolt, and so on and so forth. But then Wall-E showed up.
When I saw Wall-E, of course I loved it because I was a dumb kid who liked movies with funny robots or aliens (Leo and Stitch being another movie I was right to love so much). I got the shirt, hat, lunch box, and even the video game (Leapfrog). I was obsessed with this movie.

@@yourenotmycat thanks
I'm gay and you have a great name
That description of the ending was effective as an ending. God, I need to re-watch Wall-E.
just recently rewatched this shit after so many times exclusively when I was too little
truly astounding in every single aspect
I too find wall-e to be basically the only single romance in all media I got to care about and the only to actually made me learn and care about the core message
I don't want to waste too much time essaying everything I think is great about the movie, the video does it all just excellently but an interesting point is that every single time the robots "communicated" or did anything at all I deeply felt as if it were the most precious thing in the universe, like how the "secretary" robot besides the elevator learns to and excitedly waves their claw to say goodbye, not to mention how whenever eve was to talk made me almost cry, this shit is too powerful
YES I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW PERFECT THIS MOVIE WAS TODAY

When you stated talking about the soundtrack I teared up ngl
2:34 "Trust me, I know. I'm a random guy on the internet."
Ah... The CZcamsrs' motto.
Wall-E has been a movie I do find myself rewatching. It does have a lot of charm in it.
8:48 *Mario Galaxy music starts*
Me: *dies of nostalgia*
I knew I was on to something when I was 8 and watched this movie everyday of my life
lmao same
"Computer, define Dancing." best romantic scene EVAH.
The Define Dancing scene was AMAZING. the combination of the first dance of Wall-E and Eve and the Axiom's thrusters firing in a sequence, only to be topped off with the IMPECCABLE musical score.
Just blew me away.
That opening to Wall E is probably one of the best and interesting opening to a movie. Its just empty space and the only thing you hear is an antique song that really encapsulates that feeling.
I was at the age of 5 when this first came out in theaters. Never was I ever that mesmerized until I saw that movie, and the music was great and everything! Even without many words, the story was pretty easy to understand. Without a doubt, Wall-E is still one of my all-time favorite (Pixar) movies.
