One thing to note about the capacity of the two shotguns: the DP12's two magazines will hold fourteen 2 3/4" shells, but only twelve 3" shells. The SRM 1216's magazine holds sixteen of either length shell.
DP-12 has the most satisfying pump-action sound in my opinion.
When you notice the video is 12:16. Dammit Hickock, you're playing favorites!

Love both of these. I'd probably go with the DP-12 if I could get one. Pump action for life.
I think incorporating a pump action on the SRM, with maybe a foregrip, to actuate/spin it's cylinder magazine would be a good idea. It would be tricky to design with how the magazine functions and rotates, but not impossible I'd think...
I have an SRM. Reliable, great magazine capacity, and able to put a lot of lead downrange in not much time. It almost makes me wish for a zombie apocalypse.
Glad to hear they are reliable, I have the DP-12 and I love it but I want to add a semi auto to the mix. I was going to get a Tavor but I kind of like the SRM too

I have absolutely fallen in love with the DP-12, I want one BAD!! But they are super expensive and impossible to find in NJ

I love my dp12, everyone who shoots it falls in love and looks amazed. They always want a photo with it right after too! Turns heads. That reload sound is the sexiest part, and if you haven’t shot one the recoil is very minimal.. too much fun! Blowing up pumpkins lined up is a blast
the good thing about the srm is you can have different loads in each tube and color code the tubes.

Jay A He says multiple times in the video and you can see, that after a cylinder/magazine is empty when you turn the tube it automatically loads.

Always had Remington 1100's and 870's. Santa brought me a brand new unfired Gen 1 SRM 1216 and I am loving it for a defensive application. Very compact and fairly light platform.

I have the Tavor x95, and I love it! Will be purchasing the TS12, once the covid price gouging ends.
Those two are cool, but in the high capacity department I'm still a bigger fan of the AA-12 + drum mag.

Shooting is definitely a great sport. Teaches discipline amongst other things. I think we need to see it being a more PC thing to do in England, and get more people into it.
Unrelated, but I'm going to take a shot anyway. Seeing as you're ex-Army, can you provide some information on the SA80? Things like ergonomics, reliability, durability etc. I'm working on an academic project and would be interested to learn a bit about the weapon, because the resources available aren't particularly informative.
Get an FAC and get to the range these shotguns in the video are OK under UK law. The SRM is sold in the UK.
Out of the two, I would personally choose the SRM. If nothing else, it seems to be lighter weight.

I just hope the srm is non restricted in Canada.... Cauz I'm 100% positive that I'm buying one.
I got the dp12 it certainly is a beast they didn't skimp when designing it. Semi auto would be nice but that's not an option in my state but if it was I'd go with a AR style mag fed I don't care for those rotating cylinder designs.
I have a Mosberg 500 and the Keltek 14+1....love them both.

I absolutely love both of these bull pup shot guns but I prefer the Centurion BP 12 for the simple fact you can get a drum style mag that'll hold a box of rounds and simply keep pulling the trigger sweetheart!!! But of course would really like to have that good old fashioned pump 12 you've got behind the two. Grew up with those sugar bear!!!!
You could top the 1216 off in combat. Say it's fresh and you fire one shot and take cover. You have one in the chamber and two in reserve. Instead of loading individual shells To top it of, you just revolve the barrel. Now you have one in the chamber and four in reserve. You'd just have to remember that you have one tube with only two shells in it. In that sense it is quicker to top off the 1216 than the DP12.

Its simple,I pick the srm1216 because it has 16 rounds(compare to 14 on dp-12),and its semi-auto compare to pump action. I love and prefer the srm1216♡

I prefer a 590, but I do like the 97. I jam my thumb with the bolt a lot, but that's my issue because I ride my thumb high normally, not so much the fault of the gun.

That SRM 1216 is Awesome, but the price is hard to justify. So I bet nobody has to wonder where IWI got the idea for the TS-12 from now. The Panzer BP-12 is quite cool too. If money wasn't an issue I'd go for the AA12 demonstrated by FPS Russia.
The db-12 would be awesome if it's shot both barrels at the same time. If they find a way to make it a fully automatic double barrel shotgun then this would be my favorite gun.

DP12 is like a pump action with an upgrade, while SRM feels more like a semi-auto with an annoying mechinism every four shots.
When I bring a semi-auto shotgun I want to spray lead until either the target disapears, or my shoulder gives out. I dont want to be turning a magazine in the middle
I'm much more willing to deal with silly mechinisms on a pump, since I expect to be fiddling with the action a bit on those.

Semi auto over pump. Pump reacquire target verses stay on and put more rounds on target to me is a no brainer

Hey Hickok, have you tried the 1 3/4" long "Aguila" Minishell, available in 12 gauge slug or buck shot. Works great in the KSG. You can get 11 slugs in each tube + 1 in the chamber for a total of 23. You can get 12 buck shot in each tube + 1 in the chamber for a total of 25. Slugs are 5/8 oz and supposedly move at 1300 FPS. I do not have a chronograph.

Mr Hickok, Love your videos. First time gun owner and I just turned 51. Your videos sold me on the Glock19. My question to you is is the heavier grained ammo in 9mm have less recoil.Got my carry permit a month ago, just bought the g19 on 11/4. Havent gone to the range. Still getting use to handle the weapon...racking the slide loading mags, chambering, un chambering, you just trying to get use handling the weapon. So before I wanted to know if heavier grained ammo has less recoil. Again, thank you for your videos. I have learned a lot more than you will ever know. Thank You.
It has a "different" type of recoil, more of a push and less sharp.
Thinking getting something like these. That SRM seems to have a bit more recoil than the pump. And that seems strange in itself.
Either way, both a consideration.

Srm has my vote. Hard to get used to pump once shoot twice.
SRM 1216: For an extra hundred bucks, you can have a 16 round reloadable magazine! Or 200 bucks for 32 rounds reload!
They also make the SRM 12/24 & it comes with a extra magazine @ 3 different chokes, only place that sells them is called Mid-star firearms in Star, Idaho.
Those are impressive shotguns, although I tend to like things like the Stoeger coach gun...just me. I nevertheless like modern designs, and their higher capacity.

793Force The HK 416 civilian version is the MR556. There are alot of MR556 shooting/unboxing videos on youtube, basically just an AR but with a piston....A very exspensive AR I might say

I'm not sure if it's restricted to a single stack magazine like that other older gun that uses the g36 mechanism, but by the looks of it appears to be mechanically and ergonomically identical to the g36

I think you should get someone to send you in a .475 Wildey Hunter some time, get a little bit of time with Charles Bronson's personal firearm of choice. They're pretty good shooters!

I remembered "Perfect Dark" FPS TV game.
personally i would rather have just a KSG if i wanted a bull pup shot gun but all in all i would probly take that 1897 over either of them cause when you run outa ammo you got a dandy club :) and just the fact that the manual of arms is as classic as it gets could load that gun blind folded with one arm tied behind you back as for these bull pups tho takes 3 hands and a magnifying glass to load them good thing they hold 2 times the amount of ammo

I absolutely love all three shotguns on the table and if I was wealthy enough, I would have all three of those shotguns right now, ha. If a shoot-out breaks out, and I have any of those three shotguns, I feel okay about my odds.
