- Wednesday, March 8, 2017, I picked up 4 alpacas. The 2 girls had been on the ranch for a few years up until last fall, but the 2 boys are new to the ranch. The video shows them arriving at the ranch and a follow-up 5 days later. Enjoy!

How do they get along with dogs?
Dogs are natural predators of alpacas so, in general, it’s not a good idea. This depends heavily on the breed. Although, we do use certain breeds to guard the herd, such as Great Pyrenees and Maremma.
can alpaca live here in tropical asian country? specifically Philippines
Do you know of any in your country? I'm not familiar with your weather but alpacas handle cold much better than the heat and humidity can make life more difficult for them. Reach out to those in your country and see what their experience has been.
can alpacas eat on dry grasses?
+Johary Rodriguez Mine do. They have access to grass hay year round. Alpacas prefer to graze in the pasture even when it's dry and no longer growing (due to the season).

How exactly do you make money? Off the sheering of their fur? I'm not even sure how I got here, but now I'm curious. What's the point? LOL are they mostly a hobby?

Yes. Isolate, run fecal tests, treat as needed, and evaluate overall health needs.
