      Glad you enjoyed it. Peas shoots are a great addition to a salad, especially in winter when fresh local produce is scarce.

    Can you harvest the pea Sprouts a second time after the first cut?
    And how do you keep the peas out of water when you put it on the bottom tray? Or are they immediately submerged in the water?

      @shortseasongarden  Před měsícem

      Basically there is only one harvest although you don’t have to harvest them all at once.
      The peas go in the top tray. Only the roots go down into the water in the bottom tray.

    I’m just trying to sprout some peas for the first time using a round mesh sprouting container I’m a bit puzzled by the watering during the blackout phase is the only watering the spray mist or do you keep any water at all in the bottom?

    • @shortseasongarden
      @shortseasongarden  Před rokem +1

      Bottom watering only works once the peas have developed a root structure. You don't want the peas themselves sitting in water, only the roots. During the blackout period, while the peas are developing a root structure, it is best to just keep them misted so they don't dry out.
      Good luck with your pea shoots. I really enjoy the fact that you don't have to use any soil.
