    Song is such a banger. I swear, if this had been internally selected it would be so much higher in people's rankings/odds right now. Don't get me wrong, the live performance was absolutely rough, but I feel like so many people are just pre-emptively ignoring it as if she didn't have time to practice a ton and potentially turn it totally around by Malmo.

    have a fear that Aiko is following in the footsteps of Dilja -- another dynamic female solo entry which I loved and everybody else was mysteriously lukewarm about. I have no idea why this is seen as a borderline qualifier, but Greece and Austria are seen as sure things.

    This song kicks some ass. I wouldn't be surprised if it qualifies.
    There's some obsession with entries being ethnic this year, and non-ethnic entries being dismissed as NQs.
    I'm sorry to say, but I can do without some ethnic entries this year - which are either hit or miss. I haven't warmed up to Portugal, Serbia and Armenia myself - and you can hate me as much as you like but Armenia is the laziest piece of songwriting in this contest with half the lyrics being just random noises and lalalalalalala.

    I have to be honest here. I like the song. The revamp was good, but I've got a bit disappointed by the fact that we did not get Czech language in it at least. I'm not sure why is that that Czechia doesn't like to use their language meanwhile (since I live in Czechia myself) here people are seemingly liking their language, so I just don't understand this part of the decision. The extra lyrics sounds good it adds some extra narrative to the song. The instrumental part is better for sure, more polished and gives that extra punch for sure. I hope the staging will be great the delegation knows how to elevate songs lately, so I have no doubt on that. I hope she prepares with vocals, that would help a lot. I am not sure about qualification at this point, I am waiting for the rehearsals. It is borderline still. This year is just very competitive and strong, a lot of work still needed to put Czechia to the final. I am trying to remain positive because I really want Czechia staying in the competition in the future, and since CT is always pulling back and forth with staying in the contest every year we need results. Last year Vesna did amazing job i hope Aiko will do enough to keep the dream to have a Prague Eurovision one day alive.

    • @TeuberCZ
      @TeuberCZ Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, we like our language, but it is very difficult to make Czech language sound nice in songs as it doesnt sound the nicest to non speakers. You really need to work with the language to make it sound not weird, but most musicians in Czech music industry do not even bother. If you will play most of "trend" or "modern" music, I personally cannot even listen to it to the end as the lyrics are usually so cheesy, and the word play is below average.
      There is also this thought in general that English is more approchable, so "why should we bother"....

    • @orihusky7099
      @orihusky7099 Před 2 měsíci

      Czech language is very hard and tough language than italian, france etc.... Vesna used czech at the start of last year song, which makes you bring to the song with Energy. Plus many contestants use ESC more like getting listeners and English song is more viable than czech.

    • @balintkiss3841
      @balintkiss3841 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@TeuberCZ I understand but I am not a Czech speaker, but a foreign who lives here and I am not agreeing with this completely. Like if you hear Vesna singing and Sister’s crown now days it is mixed with Czech and English, I did not mean that whole Pedestal should be in Czech but at least some part what can spice it up. Also I give an example like Pam Rabbit has new songs like NPC or DM where Czech sounds great. Also I think Czech doesn’t sound uglier or harsher than Serbian or Ukrainian as a matter of fact. I think it is just a misconception like towards the German language as well. a lot of people hates the sound but a lot of people would have voted for Ich Kündige if they would have participated because the song is good and they wrote a very catchy song with a quote on quote “harsh” language. I think the way to win or finish top ten will need some extra or the language or some traditional touch, but of course if something is out of the box can stand out. This is too British and I know she lives there but she doesn’t represent UK but Czechia,
